Black Rose Way of Nurturing Great Talents!

David noticed Daniel's dissatisfaction with his order but didn't dwell on the matter, doesn't matter who finished him, all he cared about was the execution of the order.

As for his son and his feelings towards him?

He honestly never liked him and even his wife alike.

No matter how hard Yone tried to fake his emotions and actions, they both were cultivators of the qi condensation realm and could easily feel the subtle change in human facial expressions.

For years, they had both come to realize that Yone was faking his reactions and didn't feel much like a human, unlike his brother. It almost felt as if he had been possessed by a demon at birth.

They both felt uneasy watching him grow older and older and even felt threatened at some point.

What if he had great talent and became a devil who slaughtered people right and left?

It wasn't unusual to see such things!

This happened quite a lot in their world, people who were born with devilish nature and demon hearts who had no feelings whatsoever, killing was like drinking for these creatures.

To make matters even worse? Their martial arts talent was heaven-defying!

Unfortunately, not every parent could tell if their child was heartless. Shrouded by their love and affection, many parents overlooked the odd behavior of their children, which eventually led to the demise of countless clans around the world.

Lilia and David had already received orders from the Black Rose to eliminate this child. No matter how high his talent, the organization could not tolerate a growing risk within its ranks. If they didn't inform the higher-ups about him, they would eventually face the same fate as their son.

Daniel heaved a sigh of relief that David didn't make a show when he ordered his guard to execute the order instead. Understanding his part was done, he left the room and went to his office, the other elders and youngsters trailing behind him.

He had a similar room in his mansion and planned to finish their test, he didn't want the kids to hear too much, or else their lives might become even worse than theirs.

An hour has passed since the guard took Yone in the jungle.

It only took him so long since he made sure that their position would be far away from any potential risks.

No matter how strong their village's backing was, almost no one knew about that matter and believed that their village was but a vessel for the kingdom. Hence, multiple experts with justice personalities would instantly kill him if they saw this scene.

Yone noticing his empty and calm surroundings couldn't help but finally speak up.

He was only able to do so since the guard never bothered to tie him up and close his mouth or firmly hold him to make sure he didn't run away.

Yone concluded that he indeed didn't need to do so in the first place.

What can a mere kid do to a cultivator, even if the guard was but a weakling of the lowest strength and authority, he was still a hundred times stronger than a seven-year-old.

"Since I'm dead anyway, care to tell me why did the talent test turn out like that?"

The guard furrowed his brows hearing the kid's words, he honestly didn't think that a seven-year-old child would have the courage to speak up with his current situation.

'Speaking of which, his behavior was indeed odd the whole journey, he was rather calm and kept his composure, he didn't even scrim nor cry, it was as if he accepted his fate,' The guard couldn't help but feel a sense of guilt as he looked at the kid's lifeless eyes.

He really didn't wanna finish such an order, but he also couldn't disobey his master's orders.

As to whether he could let this kid go and act as if he killed him.

That was impossible!

His master was a cunning old man who would never leave any loopholes while executing any action, the guard wouldn't be surprised if the moment he chose to set this kid free, a hidden expert would slit his throat.

He deeply sighed with lingering pain stabbing into his heart.

'The least I can do is answer his questions and fulfill his death wish, I'm helpless in this situation.' That's the maximum he can do to ease off his guilt and wash off some of the blood from his hands.

The guard looked at Yone before he started explaining, still didn't stop in his tracks but made sure that the kid was walking in front of him lest he got distracted and ran off.

"The talent test was an act from the very beginning, to be more precise, the test was genuine, and every one scanned their talents, it's just that your identity is a bit special which is why the whole kidnapping scene was bound to happen."

Yone knew this much since it was common knowledge but didn't help but feel that something was off,' In what world would parents kill their children for having low talent grades?'

No matter how many times Yone racked his brain to find a reason behind such an outcome, he was met with a dead end.

Such cruelty was unprecedented! And even he was shocked by this turn of events.

He had expected to be killed or kidnapped if his talent was good, but that was only it. Keep close track of 'If his talent was good'.

Yone turned out to be trash!

So why would anyone kill him?

No... to be more precise, where were the nobles spoken about by his mother?

And why were his parents the ones ordering his death?

He was really confused and wanted answers.

' Was I thrown into a mad world where even kids are killed if proven talentless or weak?' Yone couldn't help but come to that conclusion, yet he still asked since maybe his train of thought was off the trail.

"Can you elaborate on your words?" Yone asked in a calm tone.

The guard was surprised by this kid's fearless personality and couldn't help but nod, since he wanted to know more, he would gladly inform him till he reached his destination.

"The Steam Village is secretly controlled by the Black Rose organization, a behemoth in the Elinar Kingdom that controlled all trade routes and had auctions plus shops in every town and city, even villages weren't an exception."

He briefly paused before he continued.

"Your parents are executives of this organization in this kingdom, and for decades, it was a common act that executives of the Black Rose would do a whole act in front of their children, they would fake their death as they were killed at the hands of nobles or kidnapped, it was their way of nurturing talent."

Yone nodded as he heard all of this.

The guard sighed as he noticed the kid still wanting to know more, he also knew that their methods were cruel and inhuman, but who was he to speak out of his way? All he could do was watch as all these kids grew up to become lunatics in the future.

"The hate these kids nurture from a young age after that event will become their fuel to faster their cultivation, in the process, they will become stronger than their peers by leaps and bounds. Eventually, their desire for revenge will only keep growing till they start hunting nobles as a whole."

"Following that was the beginning of their cruel and suffering part since the Black Rose organization will recruit them and start giving them various missions."

The guard stopped talking since he didn't have any more knowledge beyond that.

Alas, the words Yone uttered next made him stop in his tracks, a shocked yet fearful expression appeared on his face.

"Oh, and since when did a measly guard know about such deep related information about the organization," Yone said in a cold tone," Is sir guard maybe a spy planted by the Elinar Kingdom?"

The guard couldn't help but start laughing like a maniac for a few moments," Hahaha, you have indeed guessed it, you are really sma..."

But before the guard could even finish his words, Yone walked past him and appeared to take something from him. As a bloody spot appeared on the guard's shirt, Yone could be seen holding his still-beating heart in his hand.

The guard uttered with difficulty as he tried to turn and grab his heart with his hand," Give... give it back."

Yone on the other hand coldly smiled and crushed it, causing the guard's body to drop dead before he can reach it.
