55.5 Run

*As expected, the first competition went badly. The annoying thing is that I can't update (and I'm also angry because of the stupid armguard that was supposed to protect me, that doesn't work!)

*(So, the arm guard also puffed out and string slap happened. I'm so offended to be honest, like, you're supposed to HELP me, not KILL me!)

"After these few days, you will be able to start a guild or start doing mercenary work. Basically, if you survive, we shall give you a license to earn your own money."

Muttering arose from within the student crowd.

This was basically telling a group of nine year olds they can be independent and earn their own money for candy; Only problem is, every one hour they do, they only earn ten cents from now on.

That's right. The ungrateful brutes groaned and moaned as these students were obviously rich, and may have gotten in due to bribery. You didn't need actual skills to get in, no!

It was all because of the money paid by the parents, which is going into the school's pockets.

"Students, this is important! Do not, and I repeat, do not take down what you cannot. You will be in groups of three or four and there are five important beasts to take down."

One look at each other and they had already decided their partners.

"Man, four of us have amazing fate." Lixing started.

The teacher looked over, pointing at LiXing "Can you guys disband?"

"Oh yes we do." Yuanze smiled.

"Goodbye!" Yuxuan said as she bid LiXing farewell, pushing him away.

"Wait, wait, wait!"

"Bye!" Xuanmei waved.

"Not you too!" LiXing cried out.

Somehow, the teacher still let him have his way and so here he was, back in the group.

"You guys are mean... Are you even human?" Lixing groaned while fake crying.

"Ew, take your tears away from me." Yuanze muttered.

A wretched moan was heard from one of the strongest people in the academy by everyone that day.

"Hey, do you think it's here?" A confused LiXing asked as the group of four begrudgingly trudged through the forest.

Yuanze shrugged. "Maybe, probably."

Suddenly, a deafening roar shook the forest, a huge ball of the fire element coming out from a lion looking beasts' mouth.

"Oh."

The four began running at once, dashing through the forest and dodging everything in their way.

"Hey, at least we got our answer. Give me a second, let me check the mission sheet..." Yuxuan said, stopping in the middle of the run just to look at the mission sheet that had a detailed picture of that exact beast.

"Yup. That's the beast, alright."

"Don't just stand there to get eaten, you idiot! Run!"

Honestly, if I had a choice? Can I just not go, please! Take me away! Help me! Please! ( ;∀;) but anyway, I won't drone on and on. This opening message is long enough as it is, so let's continue the story. See you next time.
