20 Poor's dwellings

*Finally done! Geez!

"Master, we have just arrived at Poor's dwellings."

Nodding, A feminine looking man alighted from a noble looking carriage, which was made of white plywood and a navy blueish brocade as the curtains. Gold letterings lined the white carriage pulled by equally white horses, and gold platings.

"Let's go. The black market auction will start soon."

Baize nodded. Hearing his master in a good mood, his brain immediately smashed the 'Ragdoll' mode button, his knees suddenly turning into spaghetti.

"Well, now that's that. The preparations are ready, Meimei*."

Nodding, Xuanmei flashed a polite smile at the three madams, thinking of an excuse on the spot;

"Mei'er was not feeling well as of today, but after seeing the beautiful Madams, she feels much better. However, it is still better if Mei'er gets slightly more rest. Please excuse Mei'er!"

Bowing slightly, she retreated, going back into her room, since they were occupying the 'living room'.

Clearing her mind calmly and focusing on entering the Pagoda, her consciousness soon appeared in front of the familiar ivory moon gate.

Ming jumped off of her shoulders, walking elegantly over to the grasslands, beyond the moon gate, and transformed back into a humanoid figure.

"It seems I spent too long in the form of a cat."

His hair sprouted a pair of white cat ears, and a small fluffy tail. Pushing it down, he continued, "Alright. Let's get started on cleansing your bone marrows first. Then, I'm going to help you unseal your dantian*. Agreeable?"

With slightly squinted eyes, Xuanmei nodded.

Ming smiled, a black cat took form and placed his paw onto Xuanmei's smooth skin in between her eyebrows, and a small, smooth dark light flickered from between his paws, it's dark fur symboling that it was already nearly nighttime.

"Good luck."

With that, Xuanmei was cast into darkness as her eyelids shut, feeling heavy.

Feeling an acute pain near her acupuncture points, a sudden sharp aching broke through. It felt hot and itchy, a stabbing pain, shooting around in her body. A dull, nagging throbbing was felt in her muscles and tissues, Xuanmei's joints felt like they were on fire, burning and hurting her, bitingly painful.

*妹妹, younger sister, but with wordplay, it becomes 美妹, which means beautiful younger sister, 美 due to Xuanmei's name. (雪宣「美」）

*丹田, You probably already know what this is. It's something evident in a person who practices Qigong. It is a few centimeters below the belly button and it stores Qi.
