28 Ironman 2 Finale

Tonight is the big debut. I am not going to lie; I am a bit anxious. Tony had sent me an invite to the Stark expo a while ago, but I told him that I would go to the local landfill if I wanted to see Hammer tech. I don't think I heard Tony laugh so much. Even the stoic Natalie or Natasha smirked a bit.

Which reminds me, Natasha has been pretty persistent in trying to become my assistant. I am at a crossroads right now. Do I let the sexy spy in and possibly bed her a few times, or do I continue being anti-social? Honestly, I am about to come out to the world as Superman. It will take them like a week to realize it's me.

Thinking back on things, though, didn't they investigate the orphanage that I fled. They would have at least gotten my first name. I know that was written down somewhere. Why haven't they put two and two together yet? I mean, all I had to do was slap a last name to myself and BOOM anti-spy target? They either never connected the two or are looking at it all wrong.

Well, whatever the case, I still have the issue was Natasha. I have no use for an assistant, and until Shield figures shit out. I want to keep to myself as much as possible. Tony may be okay with coming out of the hero closet, but I will like my identity to be somewhat manageable. If Shield finds out whatever, they can't get into my house and have nothing to hold over me. Even if they say, they will release my identity to the public. Who the hell cares. Yeah, there is shit out there that can hurt me, but the only people on Earth currently that could put a dent in me can probably be counted on one hand, and I am friends with a few of them.

This leads me to where I am now. Placed on a mannequin in front of me is my new suit. Carbon fiber weaved spandex. Very flexible and somewhat durable. A dark blue suit with white highlights. The white goes down the side of the arms and legs and meets in the middle of the chest, creating the iconic S symbol. I made a white half-mask over my eyes and a blue head covering my hair and back towards my neck, almost like a reverse Subzero's mask. The eyelids are uncovered, showing my deep blue eyes.

Alice is running through my mask and can pull up anything I need with the mini holographic functions I put into it. Since I can see on a molecular level, it doesn't matter how small anything she puts into my vision is.

Looking at the time and verifying through Alice that Hammer is about to come on stage, I start gearing up.

Random Bystander POV

I honestly can't believe I could get tickets to this for me, my son, and my daughter. They are both in high school and love science. Though, I don't see my son doing much in that aspect. My daughter, however, is intelligent. On the debate team and surrounds herself with other geniuses. She loves science and is constantly talking about some boy in her school named Peter. I don't want to have to find this kid someday, for breaking my babies heart.

Anyways, here we are, standing amidst thousands waiting for Hammer to show us what he has been building up to for the last 15 minutes. Right on cue, seven robots for each branch of service show up on stage and look amazing. I can see both my son's and daughter's faces light up upon seeing them. Suddenly a sleeker version shows up.

"That looks a lot like Ironman, dad." my daughter said

"Yes, it does, swee..." I start to say but can't finish as the real Ironman comes down and lands next to the black one, and they seem to start talking.

Not a moment later does Ironman take off through the glass along with the seven airforce mechs. And disorder ensues. Screams start and just as unexpectedly stop. I can only describe what I saw next to be utterly unimaginable.

The whole stadium looks up only to see a blue man, along with all the glass raining down on everyone. The man seems to take a breathe, and all the glass just disappears. I couldn't believe my eyes, and from the lack of sound of anyone else, I don't think they could either. Eventually, the tension is cut by the sound of gunfire and missiles exploding all over the man. The screaming starts again but again is cut short. The rockets and gunfire all explode over the man creating massive amounts of smoke. The mechs seem to think the man is dead since they stop and are about to change directions to all of us, but a red laser beam comes out from the smoke and slices all 21 of the mechs cleanly in half. The smoke clears, and the man is still there in the same spot, not even looking phased at any of the damage he received.

He lowers himself to all of us, and we get a better look at him. A blue and white costume with a matching mask and a huge S in the middle of his chest. No one knows what to do, and everyone seems frozen in place. The man seems to realize this, and he spoke with a deep but reassuring voice.

"Please make your way to the exit in a calm manner. It seems this Expo has been canceled. I am sure if you paid, Mr. Stark would have no problem refunding any expenses." He said as he gestured towards the exit doors.

Everyone slowly starts doing as the man says. I am a little impressed at how well he handled himself. Also, he saved my family's lives today. That is a debt I am sure I will never repay.

Andy's POV

Coming out of the stadium after the last of the civilians have left, I am met with New Yorks's finest.

"Freeze." An officer said.

"Yeah. How about no." I said, and they seemed to lose the ability to speak for a second, which allowed me to let them know about the bombs still inside the stadium. "You should stay as far back as you possibly can. There are still more suits of armor that have to be destroyed. So I will be off. See ya." I started floating up and waved as I took to the air towards where I know Tony and Rhodey are.

Finding them just as Tony let loose with his particle cutter that slices everything in half, I drop down behind Rhodey.

"You should have led with that," Rhodey says, and Tony looks at me as if he is thinking about something.

"Have everything covered? I take it?" I ask as Rhodey spins around quickly, awaiting an attack.

"I knew I remembered you—the same dude as in the desert after I got captured. Got yourself a changed of threads, I see. I honestly liked the Red and Black much better." Tony said, looking me up and down.

"Honestly, I did too, but when a God tells you to do something..." I start to say, but Tony cuts me off.

"One more incoming," He says as Vanko slams into the ground.

"Good to be back," He says as his faceplate peels back

"Want me to handle this, guys?" I say right as Rhodey says, "This can't be good."

"Think you can?" Tony asks me as Vanko throws his hands down and Whips coalesce out of them. But before I can do anything, Rhodey steps forward and says, "I am going to bust his bunker with the ex-wife."

"The what?" Tony and I say right as he fires a missile that bounces off of Vanko.

Before anything else happens, I rush forward faster than Vanko can keep track of, but it looks like his suit is aware because his faceplate starts to come down. I reach into his chest and rip out the Arc Reactor, crushing it in my hands, causing a minor explosion.

"Where were you when we were fighting the other ones? Could have used your help." Rhodey says, and I just stare at him.

"I was taking care of the 21 left in the stadium that were attacking the civilians." I say, which shuts his ass up real quick as Vanko starts laughing, saying, "You lose. HaHa. You lose." His suit starts beeping red.

'I thought the bomb in his suit was only attached to the reactor. I guess he wanted to kill Tony if he went this far,' I thought as I turn to the two and throw them towards the Stark Expo and into the air. They understand what was going on as their propulsion kicks in, and they head to wherever they need to go.

I just slowly rise in the air as Vanko's suit detonates and get to a height where I can see all the destruction that happened. 'In the original, hundreds probably died to Hammer and Vanko's little stunt tonight. I am sure I cut that down significantly.' I thought as I watched the explosions die down. Looking towards the stadium exits, I see Natasha and Coulson looking up towards me, and I give them a two-finger salute and fly away.

Natasha POV

"That was him, wasn't it?" I asked Coulson looking at the dot disappear.

"Yes, I believe so," Coulson said, still staring at the sky.

"He saved a lot of people tonight. This could have been a lot worse." Natasha says, finally looking away and towards Coulson.

"Yes, he did. I believe it is time to let Fury know that Superman is finally coming out of his hole." Coulson said
