Woe

[Hogsmeade, September 1st, 1991]

"Right, then. First years, this way, please!" A gruff voice of a man resounded in our ears once we took off the train.

After the girl, Hermione, ran off, I decided to take a nap. which is why I'm kind of lightheaded right now because Ron and Harry just woke me up.

"Sniff~sniff~" A sound of sniffing appeared behind me, causing me to turn around to see who was crying, only to find Hermione rubbing her reddish eyes.

"What happened to you?" I asked while looking at her confused.

"Expelled~sniff, I'll be expelled!"

'What the-' I thought, flabbergasted at her dilemma.

"Look, you're not! I'll tell you later, we're already behind others." I said with a hasty tone as I grabbed her hand and dragged her. However, unbeknownst to me, the moment I did that, Hermione's cheeks flushed with red while she looked at our holding hands, lost in thought.

Arriving in front of the first year with Harry and Ron, I let go of Hermione's hand and saw something that stunned me, a humongous man standing before us guiding our way. His height was definitely not normal.

"Where have you been?" Ron whispered to me.

"Just somewhere," I answered nonchalantly.

"He's huge...." I muttered under my breath.

"He's Hagrid," Harry introduced.

"Hagrid..." I uttered while looking at the man.

"Hey, Mr. Hagrid?" Not being able to stop my curiosity, I called out to Mr. Hagrid.

"What can I do for ye, lad?" He asked.

"Is it not rude to ask, why are you so big, sir?" I asked curiously while looking at his beard. It looks uncomfortable.

"Hahaha, I'm a big man, lad, because I'm what ye call a half-giant!" He replied while cackling.

"Half-giant...I see." I uttered while pondering how strong he is.

'Damn, maybe he can lift cars. If he can, then maybe I can finally have a good sparring partner for my super strength commandment.' I thought with excitement.

'But he will surely be suspicious of why I am so strong...anyways, no thinking about something that hasn't happened yet, it's too much of a hassle, I'll just go with the flow.'

After walking for a few minutes, we arrived at a lake with docked wooden boats ready in it.

"No more'n four to a boat!" Hagrid called, pointing to a fleet of little boats sitting in the water by the shore.

------------------

[Great Lake, September 1st, 1991]

Moses, Harry, and Ron followed Hagrid's instructions, but there were only three of them in the boat because Hermione is with Neville on another boat. Once the three of them boarded their boat, they looked around, hoping to find their fourth boatie...get it? Roomie-boatie?...anyways, after looking around, they came face to face with a grim-looking girl, with twin pigtails as her hair. Her complexion and skin tone are similar to those of a cold-blooded corpse, but her face has its own unique ethereal beauty attached to it.

"Hello...?" Harry and Ron said while looking at the girl confused.

The girl in question, however, ignored their attempt to start a conversation as she boarded the boat with the trio.

"Hi, I'm Moses." Moses introduces himself to her out of politeness, knowing that the type of girl in question will not respond.

"In case you haven't noticed, I prefer to be alone." The girl said without emotion in her voice while looking at Moses intently.

'I figured.' Moses thought and cringed.

"Okay!" Moses said with a smile,

'I'm sure she had her reason. Sister Lily taught me some basic mental analyses based on children's behavior, and often, individuals behave unnaturally due to their personal circumstances.' Moses thought as he reminisced about the things that her Sister Lily taught him.

"But, in case you need us, it's better to know our name, isn't it?" He asked while looking at her with a suggested smile.

"Not rea-" Before she could finish her reply, however, Moses interrupted her by saying,

"The boy with the glasses is Harry Potter, and the red-haired one is Ron Weasley, and once again, I'm Moses. Just Moses, because I'm an orphan. Even though I'm an orphan, I'm content with my life, Father Orsi and Sister Lily were there for me so-"

"Cut my word again, and I will push you for the Giant squid below us to eat, I always wanted to see one, and my mother said that there's one here in Hogwarts." She said while looking at Moses, hoping that he would be afraid of her because of her threat.

Harry and Ron paled at what the girl said and looked down below with fear engraved in their hearts and eyes.

"Gi-Giant squid?" Moses uttered with widened eyes.

"Yes, so if you want to start your year with your feeble limbs intact, don't bother me." She replied blankly, but deep inside she was happy that her plan to be alone had worked perfectly considering the looks on her victims' faces. She turned around so that only her back could face them as she looked at the dazzling darkness of the night sky.

"Giant squid..." Moses uttered while looking at the lake; his eyes had an unknown light on them, making the others not know what he was thinking.

'There is it...my compulsive behavior.' Moses thought in excitement while looking down the lake.

"Well, I want to see a giant squid too, so I guess it's a win-win, huh?" He uttered while looking at the girl's back.

"Huh?" The girl said, confused at what the boy behind her was talking about. But before she could ask the boy what he was talking about,

SPLASH!*

A huge splash was created as Moses dove down the lake, creating a ripple that moved the boats in the surrounding area ever so slightly.

"Moses!" Harry and Ron shouted.

"What happened there? Kids!" Hagrid yelled as he looked at where Harry was.

"Hagrid, Moses jumped!"

"What!? That madlad, why would he do that?" Hagrid questioned himself while looking at the lake.

As this was happening, the girl with a pale complexion was staring deeply below the water with a sadistic smile written on her face.

"Why are you smiling! You-you jinx him, didn't you?" Ron said while pointing at the girl, scared out of his wits.

"I don't have to jinx him to push him in the river, nincompoop." The girl replied with a deadpan look, not denying Ron's claim.

'Why bother?' She thought to herself.

SPLASH!*

However, before Ron could make a reply, a loud splash came from the lake, and with it was Moses, entangled with a slimy tentacle.

"WHOOO!" Moses shouted as the giant squid brought him aboard the boat.

"Thank you, Giggity!" He shouted while waving at the tentacle that was over the lake. The tentacle replied with its wave too as it submerged again deep down below the Great Lake.

"Are you mad!" Ron shouted, a little annoyed at his friend's stunt. While Harry was looking at Moses with an admiration, amuse with what he just did.

"Maybe, maybe not? I don't care! Hahaha, did you see his tentacles? I've still got it's slime in my robe! Hahahaha!" Moses said while taking the gel-like liquid off his robe with his hand and tried to shove it at Ron's robe, trying to tease him, while Harry only laughed at Ron's situation and at Ron's funny disgusting look.

"Hey, Harry! Is your friend a'right there?!" Hagrid yelled while looking at us from his boat.

"He's quite alright Hagrid! The giant squid helped him!" Harry replied with a shout of his own.

"A'right, just behave okay, children? Or Professor McGonagall will have it for me." Hagrid replied with a scared look.

As this was happening the paled twin-tailed girl looked at Moses with curiosity.

"Giggity?" The girl interrupted them with a question.

"Yeah, what's that about?" Harry asked,

"Why? I mean, it's a good name, right? Giggity, the giant squid?" Moses uttered while looking at the three of his audience with expectation. Ron, Harry, and the twin-tailed corpse-looking girl look at each other, seemingly having a telepathic conversation. Harry broke it off as he looked at Moses again with an innocent smile.

"I think it's perfect."

And with those words, the three boys laughed to their hearts' content, creating a joyous atmosphere that livened up the misty, dark Great Lake. Each of them was excited at the start of their first year at Hogwarts.
