While they were heading towards the Stark Tower, the Avengers saw four huge giant aliens which had just exited the portal and were now surrounding the tower.

On those four Leviathans, there were countless Chitauri aliens trying to protect the portal from being disturbed and destroyed.

"Stop the jet," Steve ordered.

"Everyone, get off. If we continue like this, the jet will be shot down from the air in no time."

Natasha landed the Quinjet, and everyone disembarked.

"Orders, Captain," Tony spoke.

"Thor and James will take down the enemies in the air. If possible, make sure to thoroughly destroy them before they get close to any buildings. Help Stark reach the tower and distract the four huge aliens surrounding the portal. Stark, close the portal as early as possible. Natasha and I will handle the fight on the ground," Steve said, then looked at Clint.

""Clint, head up to the peak of the tallest building and assist in keeping a watchful eye on every soul. Ensure the safety of the civilians who are still evacuating. And Bruce, it is time to summon the big fella. Help the flying unit in destroying those giants and clear their path towards the portal," declared Steve with unwavering determination.

Clint nodded and headed towards the nearest skyscraper. While Bruce just ran towards a group of Chitauri aliens, ready to transform into Hulk.

As the battle commenced, Thor used his lightning powers to strike down the Chitauri aliens in the sky while James, also used his Deva Path Ability and his sword abilities reducing their numbers. Slowly, slowly they were pushing forward towards the Stark Tower.

Tony, in his Iron Man suit, flew towards the tower, dodging the attacks from the aliens. He fired his lasers at one of them, then maneuvered himself to avoid their powerful blows.

Meanwhile, Natasha and Steve fought tirelessly on the ground, defending themselves from the Chitauri aliens. Steve shielded himself with his indestructible shield, knocking down any enemy that came his way. Natasha used her martial arts skills to swiftly take down the aliens, one by one.

Above them, Thor and James continued their assault on the aliens. They used their powers and weapons to eliminate any threats.

Clint, from his position on the skyscraper, watched the battle unfold. He communicated with Steve through his earpiece, informing him of the situation and the movements of the enemies.

The Avengers fought with determination and teamwork, their mission clear in their minds. They were here to protect the city, the innocent lives that resided within it, and ensure the portal was closed before any more chaos ensued.

Together, they faced the immense challenge before them, each using their unique abilities to bring down the enemy. The fate of the city rested on their shoulders, and they would not let it fall.

Before leaving the Helicarrier, everyone was given a communicator so as to make communication easier.

"We don't see that fu*ker Ebony yet. Maybe he is waiting for us near the portal," James spoke through the communicator.

"Language, James. Be cautious of him and try to take him down as quickly as possible. We can't afford any more destruction," Steve responded.

Finally, after a grueling battle, Thor, James, and Tony reached Stark's Tower. Without wasting any time, Thor pointed his hammer at the sky and summoned a lightning storm, directing all the lightning towards the massive Leviathans.

Tony also fired mini missiles and repulsors at the aliens surrounding the portal, giving his all to reach the top of Stark's Tower in order to close the portal.

James, too, enlarged his sword to its maximum height and width, slashing it towards one of the Leviathans. As the sword fell upon the Leviathan, although it didn't cut it in half, the sword had dug deep inside its armour, the impact of which sent the Leviathan sprawling away from the tower.

As they made their way to the top of the tower, Thor's lightning tore through the Leviathans, pushing them away from the tower. The sheer power of the storm was awe-inspiring.

Tony, utilizing his suit's advanced technology, flew ahead to the top, where he would attempt to close the portal before more Chitauri reinforcements arrived. The fate of the entire mission rested on his shoulders.

Meanwhile, James and Thors remained, continuing to hold off the Chitauri. With each shot, he used his expertise to immobilize their enemies swiftly and efficiently.

Bruce, who had transformed into the Hulk, leaped over the Leviathans, forcefully pushing them away from the tower with his immense strength. He appeared unstoppable as he leaped from one Leviathan to another, preventing them from advancing towards the tower.

Meanwhile, Tony had reached the top of the tower and attempted to attack the circular shield enclosing the Tesseract with his repulsors. However, his efforts proved futile as the shield remained unaffected. The force of his attack rebounded, propelling him backward through the air.

"Seems like this barrier is impenetrable," Tony grumbled.

"Tony, we have located Doctor Erik and freed him from Loki's control. He informed us that the barrier can only be breached by Loki's Sceptre," Natasha informed, catching her breath.

"Understood," Tony responded. "Just hold on for a minute, guys. I'll be back with Loki's sceptre in no time."

"Be quick," James replied. He swung his sword constantly in one hand while using the Deva Path ability with the other.

'Thousand Swords,' he shouted in his mind. The aliens were all incapacitated by the swords and fell to the destroyed road below.

'One more left. I wish I could use Planetary Devastation. If I used it, the people still evacuating would be harmed,' James sighed.

As he complained, he saw a Leviathan rushing towards the tower. Thor and Hulk were busy fighting, so he used the 'Thousand Swords' ability once again and sent the Leviathan crashing into a nearby building.

"Please don't get up," James looked at the Leviathan, which he and Thor had continuously injured. A few seconds passed, but the Leviathan didn't respond.

James sighed with relief and focused on the swarming aliens, which were easier to deal with compared to the Leviathans.
