24 Chapter 24: Muto vs Iron Man

It was the beginning of summer and Hawaii was at its peak tourist season, with tourists from all over the world gathering in Honolulu to eat tropical food, dance hula and contribute to the GDP of the Honolulu authorities.

It was going to be a fun night until a dozen US military helicopters whizzed past the tourists and dropped heavily armed soldiers on the roofs of high-rise buildings.

As an isolated overseas state of the United States of America, Hawaii is also an important location for the US Navy's Pacific Fleet, so visitors often see some navy regularly, but this time the sight of these soldiers made them a little uneasy.

Then a varying number of fighter planes flew across the sky, and an uneasy atmosphere wrapped itself around everyone, even the native Hawaiians who had lived here for so long that they didn't know what to do to reassure the visitors.

"HISSSSS!!" A long hissing sound suddenly came out of the mountains, and then the ground began to shake with a rumble.

"An earthquake, or a volcanic eruption?"

"Mum, look, that mountain seems to be moving." A child's voice suddenly caught everyone's attention.

"That's not a mountain." Some tourists pulled out binoculars, but because it was dark, they could only get an outline view.

......... ......... ...

"What are the Hawaiian authorities doing? It's been so long and they haven't started evacuating."

Sixty thousand feet up in the air, Hartmann checked the ground movements through his sensors, the satiated Muto had started to exchange fire with the US Marines, several Blackhawks were surrounding the huge Muto like flies, the US troops on board were constantly bruising Muto with their small machine guns.

The male Muto didn't pay any attention to these attacks that weren't even good enough to tickle him, but walked towards the coast, his biological instincts telling him that one of his nemesis was approaching.

"Sir, the shoreline, there's another one approaching."

Ethan pulled down his goggles and the sensors and optical compensation system under the fuselage transmitted a complete picture of the coastline to Ethan's goggles.

An unmistakable shadow was flying beneath the surface approaching the shoreline, its towering back and long tail all pointing to the other side.

Godzilla's massive body pushed the waves step by step towards the shore, and the waves slowly built up strength in the surge, soon becoming a mad wave and with it, it surged towards the shore.

Amidst the screams of children, Godzilla shook and splashed as he appeared on the shore, treading the waters.

American F-22's as well as F-35's flew out of the clouds, sweeping their cannons at the two big guys that were moving ever closer to the city.

"Griffin One, this is Hermes, prepare to start laser targeting." Ethan, while no longer focusing on the battle, gave orders to Atlas squad on the ground.

"Griffin One copy." The ground-based Atlas squad immediately set up a laser rangefinder on a high building, while the Ethan machine high in the sky began to take simultaneous measurements, and the data from both sides was calibrated by Hartmann in the back seat and passed on to the Atlas littoral combat ships standing by out at sea.

Latitude, longitude, altitude, and the speed of the beast's movement were picked up by the computer, and then the CIC gunner's eyepiece showed the approximate landing point of the shells and the advance of the beast.

"Ship one aiming complete."

"Ship two aiming complete."

The two electromagnetic railguns flashed and arced in blue, and the shells in their rails were poised to fire.

"Fire."

The two cannonballs were magnetically propelled, accelerated by the magnetic field, and finally cut out of their orbits and flew up into the blue sky, tracing a white trail in the air.

"The shells are coming."

The distance of dozens of nautical miles was only a matter of seconds for the high muzzle velocity electromagnetic railgun, and Ethan could only see the two glowing shells cross the city and then graze Muto, hitting the large mountain behind it, ploughing two furrows with a crash while taking a large area of trees with them.

"This is Hermes, out of alignment, repeat, out of alignment. Recalibrate." Just as Ethan ordered the two warships to recalibrate their fire, Muto reacted.

"HISSSSSS!!", Another hiss and Muto's forelimbs lifted high, orange light glowing in the egg sacs already in its eyes on its limbs.

"DUMPPPP!!" With the fall of its forelimbs, a furiously strong wind blew away the trees beneath it while an invisible EMP blast was launched.

The Blackhawks and Ethan fell together.

"How big is Muto's emp." On the spinning and falling FFR-31, Ethan was clenching his teeth as he moved the stick for dear life, trying to change the fighter out of the stall, while his right hand was rapidly tapping on the onboard computer keyboard, trying to restart the fighter's control system.

"Shit, I'm not going to make it." Hartmann in the back seat was already starting to see stars in his eyes, the force of the vertical fall was a little too much even for him in his load carrying suit.

"Hang on." The FFR-31 was a concept aircraft created by Dr Samuel Hayden in conjunction with UNSA flight technology, designed with EMP in mind, but Muto's EMP was not simple.

After the reconnaissance aircraft dropped to a distance of 10,000 metres, Ethan finally restarted the computer and then he fired up the engines, at 6,000 feet he changed the tailspin stall and with less than a thousand metres to the ground, the two ram engines reached full power propulsion.

The fleeing crowd on the ground only felt a sudden gust of wind overhead before they saw the fighter, which should have fallen, graze the roof of the building and fly back up into the blue sky.

"Damn, I wish they hadn't fired the missiles." Looking out over the darkened city, Ethan let out a long breath before climbing back up, this time taking a long look and flying the Warhawk straight out, not closing the throttle until he reached the edge of the optical sensor acquisition.

"Griffin One, do you copy, begin recalibration."

The whole internet was already abuzz with thousands of videos being posted by tourists and locals on social networking sites.

While the common people were all twittering about whether these guys were real or not, Alexander had sent a request to the Council for S.H.I.E.L.D. to take over, in his opinion, just a few fighter jets with long-range missiles couldn't take care of these big guys, so he wanted to be able to use this operation as the first shot to make S.H.I.E.L.D.'s name known to the world.

"Nicholas." Inside the Trident Building, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s headquarters in Washington, Alexander poured a glass of water for his old subordinate.

"Pierce. I read your report, but I don't think S.H.I.E.L.D. has the power at the moment." Nick Fury said with a dark face.

"It shouldn't be, should it?" Pierce himself hadn't seen the videos much at all he knew nothing about the Imperial Project, a classified program set up by President Truman that was low key in the United States of America, and Pierce didn't like the feeling that S.H.I.E.L.D. was supposed to be in control so that it could live up to the name.

"I've sent personnel over to check on the situation, but contact was cut off not too long ago too. I'm going to get some outside help over there." Nick Fury got up, ready to leave.

"Good, I trust you, Fury." Pierce nodded in satisfaction, he did not doubt Nick Fury's ability.

And as Nick Fury went out the door, he fumbled for his phone and called Tony Stark.

"Where is it?" Fury asked suspiciously when he heard the wind whistling on the other end of the line.

"I'm running."

"Why is the wind so loud?"

"I'm running in the canyon."

"If you're running, then who's that Scrap Metal on the satellite that's flying towards Hawaii?" Nick Fury looked at the Iron Man on the small screen in front of him and was speechless for a moment.

"You know what I'm doing, and you're asking me where I am?"

"Let's skip over that, Stark, do you think our weapons will work against these guys?"

"I don't know, maybe a nuclear bomb would be a starting point." Stark zoomed in on the map and was about to lower his altitude when he saw a plane cruising obscenely high in the sky, there was no information on this plane in Jarvis' database.

"I see an acquaintance, hang on. I'll get back to you with the news." With that said Stark hung up without waiting for Fury to reply.

"Damn." After sitting in his office and thinking for a while, Fury called his second-in-command.

"Hill, prepare the plane, we're going to Hawaii."

......... ......... ...

"The shelling is working, one more round, Muto will be in town soon."

After gaining back his flight altitude, Ethan called back in the artillery strikes, and after two rounds of fire from the two electromagnetic rail guns, which misfired and destroyed countless flowers and plants, and incidentally renovated the roof of a luxury hotel, they finally hit the two big guys.

But the feedback after the hits made Ethan's jaw drop. The EM shells, which could penetrate a ten-metre thick homogeneous steel plate, hit Godzilla's back and only shattered a dorsal fin.

While the hit on Muto injured the big guy's wings, forcing Muto to deliver another full-powered emp blast, which once again knocked out the power in Hawaii, and turned several Coast Guard speedboats into lonely boats at sea.

"Concentrate on Muto, concentrate on Muto."

A few seconds later, with a flash of blue sparks, Muto let out another wail, unlike the thick-skinned Godzilla, its defences were not very strong, and the electromagnetically accelerated shells this time hit it precisely in the jaw, inflicting a wound several metres long.

"OK, they're in the city, let's pull out." Ethan switched off the guidance and was about to steer the plane away when he saw Iron Man steadily stop in front of it.

"Wow, the much sought after hero, Iron Man. I wonder what your Excellency is up to."

"Here to see the mess you've made. This isn't the big monster your Atlas made, is it?" Stark was only alerted to Ethan's voice by Jarvis.

"If I could build it then I'd just be king of the world. And then drag a bunch of beautiful women to swimsuit parties every day."

"So what's this?" Stark looked at the two big guys who were already fighting, was it an alien invasion?

"Have you heard of prehistoric monsters?"

"Prehistoric monsters?" Stark got interested.

"I'll go see up close." With that, he changed the channel and flew headlong to Oahu.

"Be careful of the EMP" warned Ethan, not knowing if Stark heard him or not.

The arrival of the hurried Stark was an inspiration to a bunch of tourists who were shivering in the building, everyone had been watching videos of Iron Man's exploits online especially after learning that the other side was still Tony Stark, a bunch of fanboys and fangirls had popped up.

"Iron Man is here." Amidst shouts of surprise, countless hands held their phones aloft, ready to record Iron Man's heroic battle against the monster, and some even carried cameras, before Muto, who had taken a little punch from Godzilla, sent out an EMP.

"I am falling!!" and Stark, who was about to pull a heroic move, blacked out and the Mark battlesuit on him went straight down.

"Jarvis, Jarvis." To Stark's horrifying scream, Jarvis managed to reboot the battle suit's electronics, and then without waiting for Stark to restart the jet engines on his feet at full power, he smashed headfirst into a burger joint.

"Jarvis, what's the situation?" Taking a deep breath Stark staggered up from the pile of tomatoes opened his visor and smoothly picked up a well-made burger and stuffed it into his mouth.

"The US Marines have started fighting two monsters that I learned from their channel are called Godzilla and Muto."

"What a crap name, it's not awesome at all. So did they win the battle for the US army?"

"The American army has little hope of victory, the Honolulu airfield has been destroyed and the monster called Muto is already on the verge of defeat." Jarvis scanned the battlefield with his satellite, then reported back to Stark in one piece.

"Fury, I think you're going to have to load this time." Stark wrote down the name of the burger joint, then walked out of the house and looked out into the distance, "I'm thinking, I should build a guy that big too."

"The electromagnetic cannons are confirmed to be effective against the Muto, but the firing window is too short, but the battleships can't get too close, the Muto's EMP impact is too wide, once we get close then all our battleships will be turned into scrap metal." Too late to take off his flight suit, Ethan bleeped out a long speech, next to him were four or five operational staff officers, the pen in their hands never stopped.

"Oh yeah, there should still be shattered pieces of tissue that were shot down, I've ordered the recovery teams to go and recover them, but there might still be some left, so you'd better inform the Oahu garrison. Also, Hawaii's GDP is going to be set back at least seven or eight years this time." After a long speech, Ethan took a bottle of drinking water and emptied it.

"GDP is not our concern, that's up to the federal government, what we need to think about now is how to destroy these two fucking monsters. I've already lost a flight squadron and nearly a hundred marines." The Admiral angrily took off his hat and slammed it down vigorously on the table.

"How about we go with the nukes." An official from the White House weakly raised his hand.

"Nukes don't work." Dr Serizawa took off his glasses, why don't these Americans ever learn? Back then, Operation Crossroads, Operation Sandstone, Operation Green House, Operation Ivy and Operation Castle, 17 nuclear explosions with a yield ranging from 2wt to 2.5kwt, all of which could have blown up Japan again, but failed to finish Godzilla and the Death Swarm.

"You Americans have spent countless human and material resources for five or more years, and you haven't solved it."

"That was because the nukes didn't work back then, but now that the United States of America has the world's best nukes, maybe they'll succeed?" As soon as this statement was made, a bunch of officers looked at each other with a look of idiocy.

"Uh, this gentleman, let me put it to you this way. We use nuclear weapons on these things, it's like you take a beef pie and feed it to your pet dog, if you feed it enough it might hold up, but the cost of your beef pie purchase could bankrupt you."

Looking at the other man with a bewildered look on his face, Ethan sighed, "Meaning we might be able to hold these things up with a nuclear bomb, but the radioactive material from the explosion would contaminate the entire Pacific Ocean and you wouldn't be able to go out on the ocean with your wife on a yacht afterwards."

"Sorry, I think I'll go outside for a smoke, anyone with me?" The officer left in a huff, followed by several other men in suits who knew they could not stay in the war room.

"Okay, the extraneous people have left, now, let's consolidate our intelligence."

"Doctor, I'm listening in on the scout plane and I'm hearing Muto emitting constant sound waves, I wonder if this has any special meaning." Ethan picked up the PDA and sent the graph of the sound waves recorded by the instrument to the carrier.

"This graph?" Serizawa moved over to the screen and examined it carefully, finding this thing, which he had seen before.

"Elephants can use sound waves to send messages, could it be that Muto is doing the same?" Ethan pretended to mention it offhandedly.

"Deliver a message, to whom?"

In an instant, the faces of all the participants in the Imperial Project plan, including Serizawa, paled.

"We found two eggs in the Philippines back then, one of which had hatched while we were digging and then ran off to Japan, and the remaining one was deconstructed and studied by us. But that egg should have lost its life characteristics." Serizawa's assistant, Dr Vivian, wondered.

"You can't even generalise about people and human conditions, and the same goes for these big guys, so maybe if you slice it up, you can get it to replicate a few more."

"Forget the creatures for a moment, this egg, is it possible to hatch?"

"It's possible."

"So where is this egg?"

"After doing the research, the slices were recycled by you and were put in the place where you store your nuclear waste."

"I ..." The Admiral had been dumbfounded, as far as he knew, the few warehouses in the US where nuclear waste was stored were inland in the desert areas, and if Muto was sending a signal to his companion, it was conceivable what the other Muto that received the signal would do.

The Admiral's blood pressure immediately shot up to 120 at the thought of a massive super-monster wreaking havoc on the mainland.

"Contact the Pentagon, contact the White House, and get me in touch with the state National Guard, I want whatever it takes to figure out the status of that egg."

"Mr Hunt, I know Atlas still has a secret weapon, and it's come down to a matter of life and death for the United States of America. I hope it can come forward." The Admiral sighed, then turned his attention to Ethan.

"Of course, Colonel, Atlas never backs down." Ethan picked up his headset, "In fact, my men are already here."

"Sir, radar has detected a giant flying object approaching in the sky." An officer stood up and reported.

At the moment, the American soldiers on the deck of the aircraft carrier and the cadre of S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel who had just arrived were staring blankly at the behemoth in the sky that was slowly approaching.

𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺, a modularly modifiable air cruise control aircraft, had returned early to the Iraqi base of the Atlas, its crew projection module dismantled and replaced by a model with more power than the ship's electromagnetic cannon. It was a huge projection on the surface of the sea and was extremely oppressive. (TN: 𝘈𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘥 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘰𝘮, 𝘐 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘵)

In addition to putting in Freedom, Ethan also ordered Atlas's disaster control forces on the mainland to be ready early on. The three behemoths would not care about any metropolitan areas in a war.

"I think, compared to them, our S.H.I.E.L.D. is more like a startup prototype." Maria Hill, who stepped off the plane, looked overhead at the huge battleship that had fired up its recoil engines and started hovering, her eyes full of envy.

"We'll have that too." Nick Fury came in nonchalantly, thinking to himself that he should have pushed Ethan on this visit.

"Now, has anyone invited us to a meeting with them?"

US nuclear waste site

A convoy of speeding heavy ambushers whirled up a cloud of smoke and dust and rushed into the long tunnel without even slamming on the brakes.

"Go, go, go, check every room." American soldiers in exoskeletons clanked and jumped out of the vehicle clutching their rifles in their arms, chest Geiger counters beeping, but the US soldiers in chemical protection gear couldn't care less and rushed furiously into the tunnel between the tunnels where there was a heavy blast door a metre back.

"Double-check." At the captain's roar, the soldier pulled open the small window of the blast door and used his torch to see if the inside was intact until ...

"Captain." A soldier had just pulled open the small window in front of him when a ray of sunlight pierced his mask, making him unable to open his eyes.

"Open the gate."

The one-ton gate slowly opened with the creaking of the hydraulics and more sunlight shone into the darkened canal.

"Oh, God." The captain shuddered and crossed himself as he looked at the almost gnawed off piece of the mountain structure in front of him.

Unlike the small and flying male Muto, the female Muto, which had been dormant for over a decade eating American nuclear waste, was nearly 100 metres tall.

The first to suffer in front of the female Muto was Las Vegas, the human-built skyscrapers were like toys built of blocks to the female Muto, the buildings were destroyed, the roads were trampled, and the worst of all were the National Guard pilots from Nevada, who was in such a hurry to get going that they didn't know that the Muto came with an EMP attack.

After the planes and missiles were scrapped by the emp, the air force was completely wilted.

The president felt the need to send the B2 to strike hard but was advised back by the Pentagon, so the burden of fighting the female Muto fell to the third class.

Tanks, self-propelled guns, rocket launchers, mines, RPGs, grenade launchers.

They used almost everything they had, but instead of doing effective damage to the female Muto, they made the female Muto angry and sent out a series of wider-ranging EMP blasts, directly causing cities, factories and traffic to come to a standstill within two hundred miles radius.

"Stop fighting, stop fighting. Don't fight in Nevada" The anxious and angry governor came straight over with the National Guard, blocking the US Army's firepower and stating that he was going to sue the federal courts.

Coupled with the fact that firepower was no use against Muto, the American Army had to choose a strategic turn-in in disgrace.

......... ......... ...

Freedon War Room

"The US Army's attack has failed and the enraged Mutos have created a two hundred metre wide radiation belt along Nevada to California, with the expected number of people affected reaching a million."

"Is the expected arrival point of the two Mutos known?" Ethan looked at the florid belt of pollution on the map and pondered for a long moment, then said.

"The satellites haven't picked up any sign of the male Mutto, but we have seen Godzilla's and it's heading towards San Francisco." An officer drew a clear predictive map of the trajectory on the screen opposite Ethan.

"Order our San Francisco offices to evacuate." Ethan picked up the phone and called Kate, who was dispatched in Washington.

"BOSS."

"Kate, send a group of personnel and supplies to Hawaii first, also the reserve warehouse in San Francisco is ready to be activated, I will have the personnel on the San Francisco side ready to receive it."

"I got it, I'm already heading to the airport, I saw those things on the news, be careful."

"Yeah, okay, I'll see you in San Francisco." An involuntary smile appeared on Ethan's face.

"Order Freedom to turn and head for Hawaii, prepare the traffic planes, and I'll go to the carrier USS Washington."

"We have fourteen nuclear warheads ready, that's the number I think we should be able to get."

Before Ethan had even entered, he heard Nick Fury giving the Admiral a pat on the back for assuring him that the S.H.I.E.L.D. think tankers had come up with a very bull top idea while Ethan was dispatching the personnel belonging to Atlas.

"Don't they like to eat nukes? Let's use the nukes as a trap to bring them into the bay, then the army will be on shore and the navy will be blocking the exits like this, and then we can catch them in a jar."

In fact, Nick Fury was doubtful about this plan, but when he thought of the experts who had won countless awards and honours at universities, he talked about the plan as if they were the ones who had studied the behemoths for decades.

"But why don't we give this task to Godzilla." Serizawa was simply head over heels, hadn't these people really noticed that Godzilla was chasing after these two Mutos?

"It's no use, Doctor, their very location dictates that they can't possibly put their hopes on a monster that just doesn't look like a good thing." Ethan intercepted Serizawa.

"I'm afraid it will cost more sacrifice and loss?"

"That's America for you, they think they're in control of everything. Without realising that blindness and self-righteousness will destroy them sooner or later."

"I think that Atlas would be very interested in the Imperial Project."

"Of course, if possible, I think Atlas could cooperate with the Imperial Organisation on a deeper level, such as the internment, research, or execution of these behemoths."

As the two men jabbered, Ethan felt someone looking at him and turned his head to find a cold, beautiful woman in a S.H.I.E.L.D. uniform with her arms over her chest.

"Mr Hunt, how is Atlas getting ready?" The Admiral had just been buttonholing with Fury over the details of the plan.

"Yes, I've ordered Freedom to stand by off San Francisco, just waiting for the monster to show up and launch an attack, also, Admiral, if during the battle, Atlas mistakenly hits a San Francisco building ..."

"The federal government will pay for it, you just let it go."

"One, two, three, four." After the nuclear bomb, whose electronic system was inoperable due to EMP, was fitted with a mechanical timer, it was lifted onto the train by a team of black-clad S.H.I.E.L.D. Special Forces.

"Sir, the nukes are loaded."

"I got it, let's go, time's running out." Brock Rumlow looked at the heavily guarded high-speed train around him, then silently put on his helmet.

As the commander of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s special operations team, Rumlow had carried out many kinds of missions for S.H.I.E.L.D., saving lives, killing people, official operations or blackops, but a mission like escorting fourteen nuclear bombs with a yield that could destroy a cosmopolitan city like New York was something he had never carried out before, let alone one where he had to go and set bait for three monsters with teeth all taller than his height.

"Is the top brass all shit for brains?" Rumlow suddenly had a twinge of doubt about his faith when he thought of his big boss Pierce's dunning advice before he set off.

"Watch these guys carefully and see if you can tame these things to our advantage." That's what Pierce said.

After waiting to see the big guy a dozen kilometres away in his own plane, Rumlow sent a direct message to his big boss.

"According to reliable information, it's a female, find a way to get some biological samples, and it would be nice to have its eggs."

"I ..." Rumlow on the train wanted to slam his phone.

How? S.H.I.E.L.D. is not the Atlas Corporation, the best weapon they currently have on hand is the RPG-27 rocket launcher, in addition to the M-4 and M-249, no armored vehicles, no air cover, do I take the bayonet of the M-4 to operate on the monster?

"Rumlow, you are our ace warrior you are not to be afraid to sacrifice and fight bravely, go up when there are difficulties, the organization is waiting for your good news. Hail Hydra."

Rumlow decided to take the mission seriously, after all, he was part of Hydra.

After taking the nukes from Nevada, the train didn't dare stop for a moment all the way to San Francisco, riveted into the night.

"Sir, reconnaissance says they've lost Muto." An officer carefully handed the briefing to Rumlow.

"You lost him? You lost a giant-ass monster?" Rumlow only felt a headache, his teammates were so pitiful, how could he fight this wave?

"Have you contacted the forward garrison?"

"No, no radio response, we've probably entered Muto's jamming zone and have lost contact with the rear."

"Damn it." Rumlow looked out the window at the fog and slammed his desk in anger, "First find out where we are. Order the train to slow down and the first squad to follow me."

After the internal combustion locomotive let out a creaking brake, Rumlow donned his gear and jumped off the train with his weapon, according to the satellite map, there should be an armoured company waiting to meet them at the tunnel exit a kilometre ahead of them.

"Sir, I suddenly have a bad feeling about this." After walking for a long time in the fog with less than two metres visibility, Rumlow saw the company, or rather traces of their former presence, Humvees and armoured vehicles overturned, tanks trampled, houses in a disastrous state, and a number of corpses.

"Shit." Rumlow rummaged through the rubble, found some papers, and after confirming that he was less than a hundred kilometres from San Francisco, he planned to go straight over without a pick-up.

"Bang, bang, bang ..." Just as he was about to return, suddenly the sound of monstrous shouts and soldiers firing came from the thick fog.

"Damn, the train." Rumlow grabbed his rifle and stumbled back along the railway line.

......... ......... ...

Three minutes ago.

"Did you hear something?" A S.H.I.E.L.D. soldier standing guard suddenly asked his comrade next to him with curiosity.

"What sound?" The comrade wondered, "You're not hallucinating, are you?"

"No, it's like something flapping its wings." The soldier said and raised the M4 he was holding and turned on his torch to shine it overhead.

"Whirrrr~~" this time basically everyone heard the sound.

"What the hell is it?"

"I don't know, overhead, there's something." One sniper suddenly saw what appeared to be a huge shadow sweep over his head, but it flashed by and he didn't see it.

"Fire the flare." The officer in command felt that this was not the way to go and ordered his men to light up the sky to see what the hell was there.

"Ang~~" three red flares pierced the fog and flew up into the sky, and with the red light shining, some soldiers finally saw something.

"It's Muto." The soldier signalled as he raised the M4 in his hand and pulled the trigger at the swooping Muto.

The male Muto was unafraid of the incoming fire, his sharp muzzle carrying away a nuclear bomb while his sharp and strong forelimbs pulled two furrows in the ground, engulfing a number of SHIELD soldiers.

"Drive, start the train." The commander looked at the nukes strapped to the flatbed car and, knowing that these were Muto's intentions, immediately ordered the locomotive to drive.

The internal combustion locomotive, which used fuel to provide power, naturally did not fear Muto's EMP impact, but naturally Muto could not let its rations go, so it simply landed on the ground and enjoyed its midnight snack while slapping the little bugs to death.

"Faster, faster." He should have realised sooner and now he wondered what happened to his men on the train. As he ran, thinking this, Rumlow suddenly noticed that something seemed to be coming out of the fog.

"Damn it, run." Fixing his eyes on it, Rumlow realised that the thing was familiar to him, it was the locomotive he had been riding in before, and at the moment this locomotive was cackling along the railway with a great fire all over it.

Rumlow and the others were on a bridge over a ravine and the SHIELD soldiers who couldn't make it to either side of the road could only drop their equipment and run ahead, before the Muto fell from the sky and broke a section of the bridge in the process, sending several of the soldiers into the fog before they could brake.

Rumlow listened to the screams of his men and then looked at Muto, who had a red glow in his eyes and a sneer in his voice, and with his eyes closed and teeth clenched, he too jumped from the bridge, followed by the burning train which also crashed through the break.
