2 CHAPTER 2

A sensation of intense pressure gripped their hearts as if an invisible giant hand squeezed them mercilessly, and with a deafening thud, their hearts ceased to beat under the crushing force.

Plump!

The soldiers collapsed, their bodies limp and lifeless. In their final moments, they gazed upon the youth before them with terror, as though facing a demonic deity.

"It's incredible, surpassing mere motivational control; you're reshaping reality directly..." Dr. White exclaimed, excitement coursing through him even as he lay sprawled on the ground.

"Noisy," Su Chen's eyes bore into him, memories of the doctor's grotesque visage, scalpel in hand, fueling an uncontrollable rage.

"And you, perish!"

His words echoed with lethal intent.

Invisible ripples surged through reality once more as the doctor's head exploded like a burst watermelon, crimson blood splattering the ceiling.

I want to go home!

I want to live!

"No one can stand in my way."

Su Chen's gaze turned frigid, his slender frame stepping down from the experiment platform. Touching his unblemished forehead, he realized his immortal constitution still held sway, even amidst the turmoil of newfound abilities.

Yet, the emergence of these supernatural powers hinted at unfamiliar changes within his body, their underlying principles eluding him.

At this moment, survival was his sole focus.

Thunk!

The laboratory door sealed shut, its thick steam valve capable of subduing even the strongest mutants.

Equipped with a toxin-emitting ventilation system, the room filled rapidly with a lethal green mist. Su Chen's consciousness wavered, exhaustion creeping over him like a suffocating shroud.

In a heartbeat, the effects of neural paralysis began to wane.

"I understand."

Su Chen's thirteen-year-old mind grasped the concept: external stimuli could catalyze rapid evolution of new abilities.

In truth, his immortal physiology housed a perpetually evolving mutant gene, adapting to external stimuli by spawning new antagonistic abilities.

Moments ago, he had demonstrated powers of thought manipulation, reality manipulation, and skin transformation—each a novel emergence.

Su Chen felt a surge of intellect, as if his intelligence had been profoundly awakened.

To manage these burgeoning abilities, he began constructing a mental system akin to the memory palaces of prodigies and the deductive temples of fictional detectives.

Drawing from his experiences, he established a framework to catalog the genetic changes within his body:

[Toxin Resistance +10]

[Toxin Resistance +10]

...

[Host's physiology immune to nerve gas and poisons]

These summaries vividly depicted his body's genetic adaptations to external threats.

Satisfied, Su Chen turned his attention to the locked laboratory door. With a surge of thought, the steam valve buckled and collapsed.

Clang!

The grating sound of steel twisting erupted as the steam valve crumbled under invisible force.

Hiss!

A cloud of mist billowed from the shattered gate, its toxic fumes swiftly neutralized by Su Chen's formidable will.

As Su Chen stepped forth, a towering figure loomed ahead.

Swish!

In an instant, he lunged forward like a speeding arrow, the figure staggering under his onslaught. The sharp blade pierced Su Chen's side, blood gushing forth, yet his wounds healed within seconds.

"What?"

The assailant recoiled in disbelief as his blade, once capable of cutting through metal, now shattered upon contact with Su Chen's skin.

"Impossible!"

He stared in shock, unable to comprehend how Su Chen's flesh had become impervious to his attacks in mere seconds.

"Damn it!"

He cursed, bewildered by his suddenly ineffectual weapon.

Meanwhile, Su Chen's brain system swiftly cataloged the genetic changes:

[Steel Body +5]

[Steel Body +5]

...

These summaries documented his evolving physiology in response to external stimuli.

"Enough."

With a dismissive gesture, Su Chen sent the assailant hurtling into the wall with immense force, the impact causing the structure to collapse around him.

As Su Chen turned to leave, he glanced back, only to find his adversary beginning to heal his wounds.

"This world isn't yours alone to wield self-healing abilities," the adversary sneered, rising to his feet.

The battle was far from over.
