3 Chapter 3. First Sin.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Severus knelt before the lifeless form of the woman who had given him life, the person whose love had been his anchor. Now, she was lost to him, and he struggled to comprehend the cruel twist of fate that had befallen them.

His anguished cry echoed through the empty room, a desperate plea to the universe for answers. He clutched her still body tightly, his heart yearning for a glimmer of hope and for her eyes to flutter open once more.

"Why did you have to leave? What am I to do now?" he whispered, his voice trembling with grief. "Why? Why did this happen? What sin have I committed?" Questions filled the air, seeking answers that seemed forever out of reach.

In the depths of his pain, Severus turned to the higher powers he had heard whispers of. With a trembling voice, he begged, "Oh God, the giver of miracles, I beg of you, grant me one. Please give my mother back to me. She was my reason to live, and now everything I hold dear slips away. Please...Please…"

He clung to her lifeless form, his grip desperate and unwavering, as if he could will her back to life through sheer determination.

"Come back to me, Mother. Wake up, I beg you," he pleaded, his voice filled with aching longing.

In that agonizing moment, Severus poured his soul into the universe, his heart shattered but his hope flickering still.

As the cruel reality descended upon him, a voice filled with callousness and malice reverberated through the empty abyss that had consumed Severus.

"Why are you shouting, you insufferable brat?!" the voice sneered, indifferent to the depths of pain Severus was drowning in.

Hearing the sound of that familiar voice, the madness that threatened to consume him grew stronger, wrapping around his fragile sanity. Uncontrollable rage surged within him, eclipsing any rational thought and blinding him to the sins he was about to commit.

With utmost care, Severus tenderly laid his mother's lifeless body on the floor, an act of profound reverence for the woman who had brought him into this world.

His gaze hardened, his determination fueled by the knowledge of the true culprit who had inflicted this indescribable anguish upon them.

"Tobias Snape," Severus seethed, his voice trembling with a mixture of pain and fury. "Yes, that wretched scum is the reason for this suffering. He is responsible for her tragic fate, for her death."

"For her death!"

The weight of those words echoed in Severus's mind, each syllable laden with sorrow that pierced his very soul.

Consequences and rationality no longer held sway over him, overwhelmed by the overwhelming surge of his raw emotions.

Tobias Snape, the man who had tormented Severus throughout his life, the embodiment of all the suffering he had endured, and now, the man who had callously snuffed out the light of his mother's life.

At that moment, all that remained in Severus's heart was an overwhelming desire for vengeance, to make Tobias endure a thousandfold the pain he himself was experiencing.

With each measured step he took, the weight of his hatred for his father grew, a heavy burden that threatened to consume him entirely.

Severus's eyes fixated on the shattered fragments of the bottle that had been used by Tobias to inflict harm upon his mother. Vengeance coursed through his veins, mingling with a cruel thought that took hold of his mind.

Summoning his formidable will, Severus cast a spell to levitate the broken pieces, commanding them to move in synchrony with his every step.

As if guided by an unseen force, the shards hovered in the air, following him with an eerie and menacing presence.

At this moment, a new dark power seemed to radiate from Severus, his determination and anguish fueling the magic that wove around him.

Unbeknownst to him, his new power made the darkness in the room come alive, consuming all the pain, and leaving only vengeance.

The broken bottle fragments danced and twirled, a macabre ballet of shattered glass, as Severus prepared himself for the path of retribution that lay ahead.

Tobias, now sobered by the sudden push from Eileen, slowly rose from the cold ground, his eyes widening as he beheld the stark trail of blood leading across the room. The weight of his crime began to dawn upon him, the realization sinking deep into his trembling heart.

"Oh no. This can't be happening. Not now. Not with that freak here, he will kill me." he exclaimed in panicked disbelief, his fear of impending retribution piercing his very soul.

"That freak only stayed because of that wretched woman. Now he'll be the death of me. What should I do? What can I do?" His thoughts raced frantically as he contemplated an escape plan, desperation overtaking reason.

Then, a wicked notion crept into his mind, igniting a malicious gleam in his eyes.

"Yes, I can overpower that freak while he's vulnerable, render him unconscious, and make my escape. He is not allowed to use his magic outside of school, isn't he? Without his magic, he's nothing. I've always had the upper hand," he mused, a cruel smile distorting his features.

Seizing a nearby lamp, he positioned himself with newfound confidence, poised to strike the moment the door swung open. But the fates seemed to conspire against him, as the spinning shards within the lamp moved with deliberate slowness, purposefully puncturing his hands and causing excruciating pain to shoot through his trembling limbs.

His cruel smile turned into a grimace of agony, and his plan shattered alongside the broken shards.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!"

At that moment, Tobias Snape came face-to-face with the consequences of his actions, his own malevolence returning to haunt him with piercing clarity.

"What are you doing? Why are you levitating those pieces? Won't you be arrested for using magic?" Tobias bellowed, his voice quivering with fear and desperation.

As the menacing embodiment of his impending retribution drew nearer, Tobias's terror and dread eclipsed the physical pain inflicted by the piercing shards.

He caught a glimpse of Severus's eyes, devoid of mercy or compassion, and an overwhelming despair gripped his very soul.

Driven by a sheer refusal to accept his grim fate, Tobias made a feeble attempt to escape, his trembling legs carrying him forward. But his efforts were swiftly thwarted as two additional shards found their mark, mercilessly embedding themselves into his heels, causing him to collapse onto the frigid floor, his body wracked with pain.

"I will make you pay for tearing her away from me, no matter the consequences. The Ministry can rot for all I care, even if it means rotting in the depths of Azkaban!" The callous words of his relentless executioner rang in his ears, intensifying the waves of fear that washed over him.

In that harrowing moment, all semblance of dignity abandoned him, his fear reaching such depths that he involuntarily released a pitiful stream of urine.

"Quite a bit of disgrace for an ever-so-proud bag of shite, isn't it? Urinating, really? A Coward like you DARE TO TAKE MY MOTHER AWAY FROM ME!!!!!" Seeing a maniacal smile turn into a face full of fury made him retreat into the corner of the room.

"Get away from me!! Somebody help!! A freak trying to kill me! Somebody Help!" Tobias shrieked, his voice echoing through the desolate room, desperately seeking salvation from his impending doom.

Seeing Severus unfazed by his pleas for assistance, only deepened Tobias's distress.

Severus's laughter rang out, chilling the air and echoing with a malevolence that pierced his very soul. "Oh, beg all you want. Scream until your throat is raw. But your cries will go unheard, lost in the vast emptiness of your despair. I will drag you down into the same abyss that you pushed me into."

Those words, laden with merciless indifference, crushed Tobias's flickering hope, leaving him with a resigned acceptance of his wretched fate.

The realization settled upon him like a suffocating shroud, extinguishing any glimmer of salvation and condemning him to the mercy of his tormentor's wrath.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!"

The room filled with Tobias's agonized screams, resonating with the piercing pain that coursed through his body.

Gasping for breath, he coughed up blood, a grim testament to the severity of his wounds.

But to his horror, he realized that Severus was far from finished.

The malevolent gleam in his eyes spoke volumes, indicating a desire to prolong his torment, to extract every ounce of suffering from his shattered soul.

'He…He must be the devil. He has to be. The demon spawn's eye glow brighter, the more cruel the pain was. Just kill me. Just kill me already.'

In a room filled with darkness, that witch's son's eyes glowed bright blue, dwarfing the darkness, bringing a greater terror.

Tobias trembled in terror, his entire being consumed by a paralyzing fear.

His gaze fixed on the multitude of sharp shards that had previously pierced him, as they now obediently retreated, swirling and hovering behind Severus.

To his disbelief, the shards began to align themselves, forming a sinister and menacing shape — that of a knife, poised to deliver further pain and suffering.

In that moment, Tobias understood the true extent of his son's wrath, and the horrifying depths of darkness he had descended into.

"Stay...away, stay away from me!"

Tobias's voice trembled with a desperate plea, his eyes wide with terror as he implored Severus to keep his distance.

"Please...don't come near me, you devil!" His words quivered with fear, his voice laden with anguish and a sense of impending doom.

In the face of his son's wrath, Tobias's deepest fears had been awakened, leaving him to confront the consequences of his actions.

His pleas for mercy were borne out of sheer desperation, a final attempt to evade the clutches of the darkness that had consumed his life.

But whether Severus would heed his cries remained uncertain, for the bonds between them had been irrevocably shattered, leaving only the specter of revenge looming ominously in the air.

Severus unleashed the full force of his curse upon Tobias, uttering the incantation with a mixture of rage and vindication.

"Sectumsempra!"

Tobias's anguished cry pierced the air as the curse sliced through his body, causing wounds to appear from every direction.

Severus took grim satisfaction in the torment he inflicted upon the man who had brought such suffering into his life.

But then, it seemed a flicker of mercy found its way into Severus's heart, and he reluctantly cast the counter spell,

"Vulnera Sanentur,"

to ease Tobias's pain and give him a glimmer of hope.

Confused by Severus, with newfound hope, he shouts for help.

"Please...stay away! Help! Can anyone hear me?" Tobias's desperate pleas for assistance filled the room, his voice wrought with agony and desperation.

He attempted to rise, only to have Severus crush his leg with a brutal stomp, causing him to crumple to the ground, his cries mingling with the intense pain.

"You thought I would show mercy on you. Now, I just want to prolong your suffering. Stretch it so long that each time you find a glimmer of hope, I will sink you further into the depth of pain you never knew."

In a pitiful display, he grasped Severus's legs, beseeching for forgiveness and mercy.

His hair was seized by Severus, forcing him to meet his gaze, a malevolent smile curling upon his lips.

"This is just the beginning. I will make you regret your very existence," Severus hissed, relishing the power he held over his broken and remorseless body.

"P-please, Severus, I am your father. I didn't know what I was doing. I was drunk. Please spare me," Tobias pleaded, his voice choked with tears and regret.

"You should have considered the consequences before indulging in your vices and raising your hand against her," Severus retorted coldly, before subjecting him to another round of the cruel Sectumsempra curse.

The cycle continued, with moments of respite granted by the counter spell, but Severus's thirst for retribution remained unquenched. Tobias's spirit began to wane, and his will to live diminished under the weight of his suffering.

"Please...kill...me. I can't take it anymore," Tobias begged, his voice drained of all hope.

"No, I am not finished yet," Severus responded, his voice laced with a chilling determination.

"Please…KILL….ME. I beg you, Severus!!!!"

Seeing his will to live to die, Severus seems to have decided to end this.

Severus showed him the knife that he transfigured from broken bottle pieces that he used to kill Eileen.

"With this bottle! With this very bottle, you took her away from me. I never cared about you. She gave up so much for you but you only gave her a life of torment. YOU TOOK HER AWAY FROM ME!!!"

He stabbed Tobias with the same knife which was transfigured using the pieces of the broken bottle, the very same bottle, that his pathetic being used to kill his mother.

"Ahhhhhh!!"

"WHY!!!"

"Ahh!!"

*Cough*

"WHY!!!"

"Ahh!!"

*Cough*

"WHY!!!"

"Ahh!!"

* Cough*"

"Ah!"

Severus relentlessly inflicted pain upon Tobias, each strike further eroding his father's will to live.

'I have…. created a monster.'

------

Finally, when the cries ceased and Tobias lay motionless, Severus dropped the knife made from the shattered bottle, the very instrument of his mother's demise, and stared at his blood-stained hands in disbelief.

Overwhelmed by the gravity of his actions, Severus staggered backward, colliding with the wall. The haze of rage that had clouded his mind began to dissipate, revealing the horrifying scene he had orchestrated. He gazed down at his hands, now tainted with the blood of both his parents, a chilling emptiness seeping into his soul.

As his strength faltered, Severus collapsed to the floor, his gaze fixated on the lifeless body of the man he had just murdered. In a despairing whisper, he murmured,

"What have I done?"

------

Give me STONES.
