13 Chapter 13. New Powers - 2.

I awoke the following day with a renewed objective in mind.

After freshening up, I made my way downstairs to have my breakfast. To my surprise, Dobby was already awake and bustling about, preparing a meal.

It appeared that Dobby was an early riser. He floated the plates down to my table and took a seat alongside me—a gesture that showed his growing understanding of my preferences.

"The food was excellent, Dobby," I complimented.

With a nod and a smile, he went about his business, leaving me to ponder my next steps.

My focus turned to the third power I possessed—the ability to undergo physical changes.

Entry #003 Physical changes.

I retrieved the Martial Magic book I had purchased and delved into its contents.

The pages were filled with various exercises and techniques, specifically designed for different scenarios. The first exercise recommended was to go for a run, a suitable test for my physical prowess.

I embarked on a vigorous run around the manor, pushing my limits until exhaustion overcame me, and I collapsed.

It was Dobby who roused me from my stupor, his voice filled with concern. "Master, are you okay?" he inquired, worry evident.

"Yes, I am fine. Thank you, Dobby," I replied, and sent him away, allowing myself a moment to recover.

Curiosity drove me to push my physical limits further, and I engaged in exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, and planks.

The intensity of these activities left me breathless, and I cursed at the discomfort and pain coursing through my body.

Despite the soreness, I persisted, determined to gauge the extent of my physical capabilities.

Once I completed the exercises, my body ached from the exertion.

Eager to see any visible changes, I scrutinized myself in the mirror, but to my disappointment, I found no immediate transformations. I reminded myself that further exploration and observation were necessary to unlock the true potential of this power.

The next test I devised might have been considered eccentric, if not outright mad, by others. I took a knife and deliberately cut my hand, regretting the hasty decision immediately as pain shot through my palm, and blood began to flow.

The wound, however, did not heal at an accelerated rate, dampening my hopes of possessing instantaneous healing powers.

"Foolish of me," I muttered, berating my impulsive behavior.

I cast a healing spell to stop the bleeding and noted that while my body had a form of physical power;, it did not grant me instantaneous healing. The wound required time to mend naturally.

Noting my daily progress became essential for understanding and harnessing my physical powers. I added to my record:

"1) Physical changes require extensive research over time."

As I pondered my powers and their origins, I came to a realization—I lacked knowledge of how these abilities had manifested within me.

While wizards and witches draw upon magical energy from their surroundings to cast spells, these powers were different.

They resided within me, originating from an unknown source. I vaguely recalled reading something about mutant genes on the internet, but the information available was scarce and inconclusive.

That bald scientist whose name I forgot, said something about mutant genes on the internet. The information that read from the post about the bald guy didn't provide much information on mutant genes. No research at large was being performed on these mutant genes either, at least publicly. There was no way for me to learn about these mutant genes.

Fine, I will do it myself.

Determined, I decided to delve into muggle subjects, rekindling my past interest in studying and researching.

It was not a foreign concept to me, as Mr. and Mrs. Evans, Lily's parents, had insisted on my attendance at summer tuitions for muggle subjects in the past. They believed in expanding my knowledge beyond magic, stating that it would broaden my horizons and provide more opportunities in the world.

'You have a bright mind, Sev. You shouldn't limit yourself just to magic. Science is interesting as well and you won't go broke if aren't able to find a job in the wizarding world.'

Mr. Evan always praised and pampered me around, even though I hated being treated as a child, I felt a bit happy whenever he praised me and thought me something new. He was the father I wished I had. His warmth would even bypass my anti-social aura. He was the only person I would patiently listen to blabber nonsense.

'If you join Lily on her tuitions, I will make you your favorite pie.' Mrs. Evan used to bribe me into attending.

The fond memories of Mr. Evans' warm praise and Mrs. Evans' bribes of my favorite pie brought tears to my eyes. They had shown me unwavering kindness and acceptance, despite being Muggles. Their generosity and unwavering faith in me made me question my own prejudices against those without magical abilities.

"I must visit them and seek their forgiveness," I resolved, determined to mend the wounds I had caused in our relationship. With a heavy heart but newfound determination, I left my room, ready to correct my past mistakes and explore my final power.

Entry #004 -Magical Energy.

The power that intrigued me the most was my connection to magic itself. While my other abilities were unrelated to traditional magic, this power allowed me to tap into magical energy.

It resembled magic in many ways but possessed its own unique qualities. It was this power that brought about the change in my eyes, as well as the secondary magical energy within me.

Unlike wizards and witches, who merely act as conduits for magical energy, this power made me a source of magical energy. It flowed through my veins, a force separate from the ambient magic found in the world.

Although less potent than ambient magic, I believed that its strength would grow over time.

I discovered that I could cast spells using the magical energy within me, but their effectiveness paled in comparison to spells fueled by ambient magic. Still, the fact that I possessed my own magical source was nothing short of miraculous.

I documented my findings:

"1) New magical energy source, yet unclear whether it is magical in nature or distinct from magic altogether."

In addition to this newfound magical energy, I also developed what I termed "Magical Senses."

These senses manifested primarily in my eyes, granting me the ability to perceive and feel the flow of magic and different types of magical energies present in the world.

I could discern the fundamental differences between spells cast by others.

"2) Developed magical senses, allowing me to see and feel magic."

My magical senses were akin to a third eye, allowing me to see the intricate fabric of magic, although, at present, it remained mostly obscure.

These senses held vast potential, aiding in my understanding of magic's inner workings, particularly during spell creation and casting.

They would undoubtedly prove invaluable during duels as well.

I decided to name the magical energy source within me "Necro," as it seemed fitting for an energy tied to death, much like my other abilities.

Necro possessed similarities to my other powers, but it also possessed distinct characteristics.

In the midst of my contemplation, a letter arrived from Tonks Services. It detailed the costs, labor, and legalities involved in the project I had entrusted to them.

They assured me that it would be completed within four days, provided I provided the necessary documents. They even offered legal services to handle the required permissions from both the wizarding and Muggle authorities.

After gathering the required documents and penning a letter in response, I dispatched the owl they had sent.

With that task completed, I found a quiet corner to meditate, allowing the powers within me to settle, as I pondered the possibilities that lay before me.

Give me my STONES.
