106 Trisk and Eric
Eric took Senator Kelly to his base and looked at Senator Kelly indifferently, saying, "We are Mutants, with super abilities. It's natural for you to be afraid of us. Humans fear what they don't understand. But don't worry, I won't harm you. Don't be afraid of me."
"What do you want from me?" Senator Kelly struggled, watching Eric closely and asking loudly.
"I intend to make you one of us," Eric replied with a sneer, leading Senator Kelly to a large, silver instrument made entirely of metal.
The instrument resembled a two-story pavilion with a diameter of more than two meters and was entirely made of metal.
Eric stepped onto the lower platform of the instrument and manipulated it to ascend to the upper level. There, he stood in a semicircular steel beam buckled with a thick steel ring.
"How sure are you?" Eric asked Trisk, who was standing nearby.
"I am one hundred percent certain that I can turn him into a Mutant," Trisk responded confidently.
"Good!" Eric exclaimed.
Eric placed his hands on the two ring handles of the instrument. Suddenly, the discs on the semi-circular steel beam began to light up one by one, and the massive rigid ring surrounding Eric started to rotate rapidly.
A translucent, mercury-like streamer rose in the ring, and the instrument began to absorb Magneto's abilities. The pain of Eric's X gene being squeezed out distorted his face.
The mercury-like translucent streamer unfurled from the upper and lower sections of the device. Initially, the blooming flowers unfurled slowly, but as the two clusters of silver light made contact and merged, the expansion suddenly accelerated a hundredfold, transforming into an arctic tide of light. Like a curtain, it surged outwards in all directions, gradually enveloping the entire island.
Inside the machine, Eric grimaced in pain, his features contorted.
Senator Kelly, surrounded by the halo, also let out a scream.
Soon, the halo dissipated.
Trisk swiftly aided Eric to his feet.
"Trisk, how did it go?" Eric inquired.
"Congressman Kelly lacks the X gene in his body. However since we injection blood containing X gen into him there's a certain amount of X gene present, forcing him to undergo mutation. His abilities are very weak, and I'm unsure if there are any side effects," Trisk reported.
"Take him down; he's making the scene tense," Eric commanded, gesturing for Sabretooth to assist Senator Kelly.
"Trisk, are you confident that this device can catalyze mutation in mutants with the X gene without any side effects?" Eric queried.
"There's absolutely no issue. It's a problem I've resolved after years of research. As long as they possess the X gene, this device will trigger a mutation. But it's range is limited," Trisk explained.
"That's sufficient. Remember what the news reported? At the summit of world leaders, over two hundred heads of state gathered, and there are bound to be individuals with the X gene among them. Even if it's just a small portion, that'll do," Eric remarked casually.
"Ha, if you can truly achieve it, your actions will undoubtedly be lauded by all mutants," Trisk chuckled.
"Hope that day will come soon..." Eric said with a smile.
The two old people smiled. Eric has been fighting for Mutants almost all his life. He is a respectable pioneer.
Because it was related to the fact that Mr. Kelly was injected with blood containing gene X, he was forced to change as a side effect of Mutant.
Eric took Senator Kelly seriously and completely eliminated the possibility of Senator Kelly's escape.
"Trisk, how is he?" As a machine master, Eric has no knowledge of genetics.
