6 Steak

Feeling the warmth of the water on him, Alex breathed a sigh of relief. He certainly didn't want to end up like Sebastian, so he needed to make sure he could control his power.

"This is much more comfortable!"

The hot water flowed over him, absorbing the excess heat and leaving a pleasant, constant warmth of around forty degrees Celsius.

After taking a shower and looking at himself in the mirror, Alex got his first good look at his new appearance. He appeared to be around ten years old, with blond hair, blue eyes, big eyes, rosy lips, and flawless skin. He was the type of child that anyone would want to hold and pinch their cheeks.

Although the love story in the books may be embellished, it was a real tale in his case. His mother was a noble lady had forsaken her status to elope with his father, resulting in his current appearance, which leaned more towards Northern European features.

While his mother had intended to take him out of Europe, they were captured by the Nazis. He suspected that his parents' bodies had been incinerated by the Nazis.

However, since he had replaced Alex in the 21st century, he was determined to seek vengeance for this blood feud and he will burn the Nazi's to ashes.

Alex looked at himself in the mirror and touched his face. His skin was incredibly smooth, probably a side effect of the two gene enhancements and integrations.

He chuckled softly, "Well, it's not so bad to be cute."

The sound of his stomach protesting interrupted his thoughts. He was only ten years old now, and the physical energy expended during his long flight had already burned through the food he had eaten in the Nazi concentration camp.

His stomach was crying out in hunger, but when he checked his pockets, he found he didn't even have half a dime left.

His stomach's protests grew louder, making it difficult for Alex to fall asleep. Sitting up and putting on his bathrobe, Alex checked the time. It was around nine o'clock in the evening. At this hour, people in the hotel were probably still awake.

He headed downstairs, where there was a restaurant with many guests still dining. The aroma of food filled the air, making Alex's mouth water, and his stomach growled even more loudly.

"Oh, whose child is this? So adorable!" An astonished voice rang out, and a beautiful woman approached Alex while holding a steak.

The tantalizing scent wafted from the steak to Alex's nose, and he couldn't help but salivate.

"I'm not hungry. I'm not hungry at all," Alex told himself using his Hypnotic Ability, but his eyes remained fixed on the steak.

"Cutee, where are your parents?" The woman crouched down to Alex's eye level, holding the steak in her hand.

The savory aroma of the steak was overwhelming, and Alex couldn't resist any longer. His stomach growled loudly.

"You're hungry, aren't you?" The woman couldn't help but laugh as she saw Alex's reaction.

Alex swallowed hard. He wanted to nod but hesitated. Although his body was that of a ten-year-old, his mind was that of a twenty-something. Could he really bring himself to do something so shameless?

After some internal struggle between morals and hunger, Alex ultimately chose hunger. Morals could wait. Right now, he was starving. What good were morals if he starved to death?

Alex nodded eagerly and said in a childlike voice, "Thank you."

"You're welcome. You were hungry!" The woman smiled warmly and placed the steak in front of Alex.

Alex didn't hold back. Despite his supernatural powers, he still had the appetite of a child. He devoured the steak with small, satisfied bites.

"It's so delicious!"

After finishing the entire steak, Alex felt content. Even though he had superpowers, his appetite was still that of a child's. Alex hopped off the chair with a smile.

Approaching the girl who had given him the steak but whom he had never met before, Alex thanked her, "Thank you one again."

"You're welcome. It was just a steak. By the way, what's your name?" The girl pinched Alex's cheek and asked.

"My name is Alex." Alex said with a happy smile.
