71 Ant-Man's Antsy Investigation -69

Alex finally decided that Kingo wasn't very important at this point in time. Which meant that a decision could be pushed back. At least until he found the others, which he had no idea where they were hiding.

[SCP Foundation Internal Memorandum

From: O5-1, Overseer Council

To: Anjali Rao, Director of SITE-331

Subject: Directive Regarding Observation of Target: Kingo

---

Director Rao,

As you are aware, Field Agent Arjun Patel has reported that an object of interest known as Kingo has been spotted and confirmed as anomalous. After careful consideration and deliberation at the highest levels of the Foundation, including input from various departments and expert analysis, a decision has been made regarding our approach to this particular case.

It is imperative that SITE-331 strictly adheres to observation protocols concerning Object: Kingo. Effective immediately, your team is to engage in no actions beyond passive surveillance.

1. Doing the surveillance, it is imperative that every person that Object: kingo has any form of contact with is noted and identified. A comprehensive file should be maintained, which includes careful reports of all interactions with the object and other people.

Your primary objective, therefore, is to ensure that comprehensive surveillance is maintained without alerting the target to our interest. Your team should gather intelligence, document observations, and report findings through the appropriate channels for analysis and further instruction.

This directive is subject to review based on the evolving nature of the situation. Any changes in the target's behavior, emergence of new information, or developments that might warrant a reassessment of our stance will be communicated to you promptly.

Your cooperation and adherence to this directive are crucial. The Foundation relies on the professionalism and discipline of its personnel, particularly in situations that demand restraint and strategic foresight.

Action Required:

- Confirm receipt of this memorandum.

- Implement observation-only protocols for Object: Kingo.

- Provide regular updates through established reporting channels.

Regards,

Looking over the notice, he couldn't help but notice it had come a long way from when he first started out. The countless notices and reports he had written and responded to had allowed his style to change and become more professional.

However, he couldn't fully credit it on practice. No, there was something more to this. Deep inside, he felt like something was slowly awakened, like more of Alexander Ricci slowly overwriting what was him, him before this world.

He had even noticed that he slowly stopped talking aloud to himself as much as he used to. Indeed, it wasn't just the world of Marvel that was being changed as time went on.

"Not sure I can do much about it, though… change is, after all, unstoppable, at least until I get some SCP that can stop that." He mused for a moment before he went back to his work. After all, the current situation required much of his time.

[SITE-160]

Bruce was finally able to conduct the next test with the Hulk; so far, this would only be the third. Hopefully, the new improvements to the pit would ensure that the need for repairs between each test could be minimized.

They had even gotten their hands on some new toys for the Hulk, some purple stuff that was supposed to be nearly as indestructible as science could make something. Not that it was purely science that made these toys.

He wasn't entirely sure what to think about those particular toys. They didn't seem like much, yet from the limited testing he had done, they did indeed appear very strong. None of the equipment he had used had caused as much as a dent in any of them.

The items were apparently made based on SCP-677. Not one he had had a chance to work on or test, but from what he had read, it wasn't an overly interesting one. Expect the whole indestructible.

Well, that and the whole random jump height; he was very curious about such an object as it clearly defiled the laws of physics yet could possibly still be understood by science.

That's the type of SCP object that intrigued Bruce the most, not that he wasn't interested or curious about those that clearly defied everything and every possible law science. Those two interested him, but he didn't even know where to start with such a thing. No, he was far more interested in those his own scientific background could help him study.

The strange purple toys he had been given were apparently created by some kind of top-secret experiments done on SCP-677. Bruce could see the reason for such experiments. After all, the secret to making something indestructible was tempting.

It would completely upend the material sciences as every object could be given enormous amounts of strength, light as a feather yet stronger than tungsten.

He was, however, sad that all the experiment had apparently produced was more toys; according to the notes attached to the toys, which clearly lacked a lot of information, the anomalous properties of SCP-677 that they had somehow managed to replicate wouldn't work with anything but a toy, and even then there were limits.

Personally, Bruce would have liked to know more about the experiments, perhaps even carrying some out himself; still, apparently, the toys had another function, one he hadn't been able to test yet.

According to what was provided the toys could resize themselves to fit the user, something they had been unable to test since all the people working at this site had been of relatively equal size.

This meant that only the Hulk would be able to test this supposed anomalous effect of the toys—that is if the hawk even decided to play with them. So far, the whole cat just destroyed everything and ate all the snacks but hasn't tried to play with any of the toys.

Hopefully, the fact that these toys were indestructible and sized appropriately enabled the halt once bored of destruction to try and play with them. The hope was that once the hawk was used to playing with toys, they could have more mentally challenging toys presented.

Equipment was already being specially designed to withstand at least some of the Hulk's strength. At the same time, they would be able to test the user's intelligence without being too challenging so as not to frustrate the Hulk, as the equipment was not cheap.

"Alright, Bruce, everything is ready; now we just need the big guy himself." Oliver called out from somewhere behind Bruce.

"One big green guy coming up real soon Oliver," Bruce yelled back as he went over pretty much the same work as Oliver had just done. Making sure all the monitoring devices worked as they should.

It wasn't necessary for Bruce to do it; after all, Oliver had already checked, but Bruce simply felt he had to check these things himself as well. He did trust the others to do their job, they were good, no doubt about that. He was just so nervous before these tests that he distracted himself with work.

Yet he knew that he couldn't push it off forever, like a Band-Aid it was better just to do it quickly. He was thankfully the last step was to just throw himself down into the pit, after doing that, well it was all up to the green guy.

Groaning, Bruce slowly came to himself. Around him, people moved about doing their jobs, cleaning, and assessing the damages. Next to him sat Oliver, playing with some small Lego bricks. "Good morning, Bruce. Looks like you had a rough night, eh?"

Massaging his temples, Bruce took stock of the devastation around him. "How did it go?" He asked.

"It looks a lot worse than it really is. He was pretty well-behaved, though he didn't play much with the toys; they did, however, grow to his size and freaked him out pretty bad, in fact."

Bruce could see that happening. Even he would properly get shocked if something suddenly grew in his hand. Still he hoped that in time things would be better.

Soon enough, Bruce was fresh out of a shower and dressed in some clean clothes as he moved into the office from which the work on the Hulk was done. Ready to look over all the data and learn more about himself and the Hulk.

[SITE-98]

At the headquarters of dimensional research and containment, there was finally something more to do than watch over the quantum realm research of Dr Pym. This SITE didn't often have much to do; few SCP objects were sent over here, so the Foundation personnel were happy to have something worthwhile to do.

The object in question was SCP-093 the red sea object. Not an overly dangerous one, but as something that could open a portal to another dimension it fell under the oversite of this SITE.

With much of the Foundation staff out there looking for clues to find the object itself or getting ready to research it anew, to check if anything had changed after the CK-class event, there were fewer people to keep an eye on things.

Something Hank Pym quickly noticed. He was trying his best to keep himself busy with the case of poor Starr. Yet he often had little to do while waiting for the results of some tests or the materials needed for this experiment or another.

Normally, he would spend that time here preparing for other experiments of the quantum realm, yet even there, he was forced to wait for approval before he could continue. He liked that these people took the threat seriously enough. He just didn't understand the need for such a level of particulate protection. He doubted that some airborne disease would come out from the quantum realm.

However, no matter how much he argued, they wouldn't let him open any form of quantum tunnel until they were satisfied with the security measures in place. Well, since they wouldn't let him do anything, surely they wouldn't mind if he snooped around, right?

Since the very first day he started working with Dr. Brown, he had already had his feelers out. He had tried to hack into their servers but hadn't been able to get past their firewall, which left him with little choice but to sneak about using his ants to spy for him.

Unable to use the suit without risk to himself due to the cellular instability he was suffering from due to prolonged use of his own Pym particles, he had to purely use his ants to gather information, which wasn't as effective.

After all, ants weren't able to access secure servers or computers. They had been able to listen in on people talking, which gave him just a little bit of information, allowing him to get a better feel for the true size of this Foundation organization.

The more he knew and the more he learned, the greater his curiosity. However, he hadn't been able to learn too much. They all talked about something called an SCP object, which there appeared to be many of.

Yet, from what he heard of such objects; they sounded as impossible as they were random. To fully understand what they were going on about when talking about an SCP-169 or SCP-2399 he had to get into their database.

Unable to hack it so far, Hank hadn't had a chance to do much. Yet, with the sudden absence of many personnel from this SITE, he had a chance to check something he had heard about.

Apparently, they had just suffered an attack of some kind that caused them to lose access to their databases temporarily. To ensure this didn't happen again he learned that this SITE had been busy printing out paper copies of much of the not highly classified data.

This was a golden opportunity to look at these files, as all he needed to do was send his ants in with shrunken-down equipment to snap some pictures as they printed.

He had secretly been doing this slowly for more than two weeks now yet hadn't had the chance to look over the data. However, he now found himself with both the time and a rare opportunity to do just that.

'Well, lets see what we got so far.' Hank thought to himself as he loaded up the many pictures taken by the ants and started to look through them.
