22 Transfer

Behind the Samurai, a door materialized silently in the air. The door swung open, revealing Max stepping out.

The Samurai's massive frame obstructed any view of Wolverine's current condition. However, the gradually diminishing screams were evidence enough of Wolverine's plight. Slightly stepping forward, Max ran his hand along the somber armor of the Samurai.

"Open!"

As the words left his lips, a door abruptly appeared on the back of the Samurai armor.

When the door swung open, Ichiro was clearly visible within.

"This... how is this possible?" The Viper's eyes widened in sheer horror within this alternate space, utterly incredulous. She knew all too well the unyielding nature of Adamantium. Once it solidified, it was nearly impervious to alteration. Yet here, Max had effortlessly opened a door on the back of the Silver Samurai armor!

Amid the Viper's astonished gaze, Max entered the door and sealed it shut.As the door closed, the Samurai armor reverted to its original state.

In the following moment, a door suddenly manifested in front of Wolverine, and Ichiro was ejected from it.

Boom!

Ichiro landed directly on top of Wolverine, and then collapsed to the ground. This unexpected turn of events left Wolverine and everyone else in shock.

What had just transpired?

"It's you!" Wolverine, weakened but seething with anger, gritted his teeth and growled as he glared at the rejuvenated Ichiro.

Thrown out of the Samurai armor, Ichiro naturally came to a halt. Wolverine managed to free both his hands and threw a punch at Ichiro.

There was a resounding impact as Wolverine's fist struck the arm of the Samurai armor.

Wolverine regarded Ichiro with suspicion and anger, but then he heard Max's voice faintly emanating from the armor.

"Wait!"

Wolverine hesitated for a moment, refraining from further violence.

At this juncture, Ichiro seemed to grasp the reality of what had occurred. He had been thrown out of his own armor?

How could this be?

The transfer was still ongoing when Ichiro angrily roared at the Samurai armor.

"Who is it? Come out and return the armor to me, you..."

His words were abruptly cut off as his arms were forcibly spread apart, and he was lifted into the air.

"Ah! Ah! Ah! Ah!"

Screams followed as his fist was impaled by the drill on the armor's gauntlet. It was a scene identical to what had occurred when dealing with Wolverine earlier.

Inside the Samurai armor, Max experienced the same excruciating ordeal.

This transfer was mutually agonizing!

In the movies, after Ichiro's death, his abilities seemed to return to Wolverine. However, now he was ejected without aging again, indicating that Wolverine's ability had already taken effect within his body. It could be absorbed naturally and transferred. Max certainly wouldn't let him go.

In an instant, Ichiro began to change.

His youthful appearance swiftly gave way to old age. From appearing to be in his 20s or 30s, he rapidly transformed back into an elderly figure marked by deep wrinkles.

"No... no..." Ichiro weakly and unwillingly protested, his eyes gradually dimming. His head slumped, and he fell silent.

Tossing Ichiro's lifeless body aside, the Samurai armor turned its attention to Wolverine.

Wolverine's entire body tensed, suddenly on high alert.

"Unfortunately, I don't want to deal with Magneto and Professor X right now," Max remarked with a slight curl of his lips from within the armor. He then opened a door to enter a different space, and after a moment, he emerged once more.

Seeing Max reappear, Wolverine felt a mixture of relief and complexity.

He wasn't sure how to approach this guy!

Initially, Max had kidnapped Mariko and was considered an enemy. He had nearly incapacitated Wolverine's legs, and the strange revolving door had left a haunting impression.

However, Wolverine reminded himself to be pragmatic. Even in his recent predicament, Max had transformed the Samurai armor into a door, causing it to lose balance and allowing him to escape the trap.

Not to mention that if Max hadn't ejected Ichiro from the Silver Samurai armor, Wolverine might have been drained completely. All things considered, Max had saved him multiple times!

Yet, Wolverine remained unsure about his feelings toward Mariko. If he still held any ill will toward her, it seemed that no one could restrain him.

Just as Wolverine grappled with these conflicting thoughts, he suddenly spotted Mariko approaching from a distance, and then... she threw herself into Max's arms!
