The Sais

Max rose from his seat and dressed himself, then waved his hand to conjure a door in the air. "I'll go outside and check on the situation. You can remain in this separate space for now."

"Are you not concerned that I might seize the opportunity to escape?" the Viper inquired.

Max smiled and replied, "No matter where you go, you won't get out without me opening the door."

"Ophelia, that's my name!" the Viper introduced herself before stepping into the door.

As the door closed, Max smiled softly and exited the room.

Outside, the Black Alliance ninjas were busy cleaning up the scene. The bodies of Ichiro and Harada Kenichi had been removed. It appeared that they were now under Mariko's leadership. Seeing Max, the ninjas seemed to halt their activities momentarily. It was evident that Mariko was consolidating her control. The Black Ninja Clan had been cultivated by the Yashida family, and with Yashida Ichiro and Harada Kenichi deceased, only Mariko remained as their legitimate leader.

"Wolverine?" Max inquired as he approached Yukio, who was standing nearby.

"He's gone," Yukio confirmed, looking at Max. "If you need anything, just let me know."

"Has Mariko informed you?" Max asked.

Yukio nodded. "I'll accompany you."

"I welcome your company, but feel free to leave if you change your mind," Max replied.

In an environment like the Marvel World, having more allies was generally advantageous. However, it was crucial not to overextend and to maintain a sense of caution. If trust wasn't established, it was unwise to go into battle together. That was a lesson paid for in blood.

To enjoy the beauty of this world, one must first strengthen oneself and ensure a stable environment.

Seeing Yukio's agreement, Max continued, "I noticed that there are some remaining Adamantium here. I plan to stay for a few days and craft some gadgets. Also, you can inquire with Mariko if she has no other plans and is willing to sell me the equipment at a reasonable price."

Initially, Yashida City had invested heavily in acquiring these items. While most of the funds were used to purchase Adamantium, some medical and laboratory equipment held significant value. Given the intention to continue the Viper's research, this equipment was essential. The reason for proposing a purchase rather than requesting it for free was straightforward: it was better to pay for it than to owe a favor.

Although both Max and Mariko had experienced an unforgettable night, it didn't mean they were entirely aligned with each other.

"I will relay the message," Yukio assured before departing.

In less than an hour, Yukio approached Mariko and agreed to the deal. As for the price, she personally discussed it with Mariko. Max nodded in understanding and proceeded to enter the Samurai armor, transporting it to the laboratory, and then into the different space.

Within this alternate dimension, Max found a spot to recline and prepared to rest. He had no concerns about Viper posing a threat to him in this space. If he were to die here, then she would be trapped, unable to escape.

Upon Awakening, Max examined his hands. There had been an injury previously, and when he absorbed Ichiro's Ability, he was pierced again. However, the wound had now healed and formed a scar. Clearly, his Self-healing factor had played a role. Even in its weakened state, it was still effective.

After waking up, Max arranged for a meal to be prepared and then proceeded to work on a drawing.

"What is this?" the venomous snake inquired as Max handed over the drawing.

"Sais," Max replied.

Sais were prismatic and possessed three-sided blades, designed for rapid bleeding. When these Sais pierced the human body, they allowed blood to flow through the grooves, preventing the blade from sticking to the flesh when muscles contracted. This made it easy to withdraw the sai swiftly from the body for the next strike. Injuries caused by Sais were challenging to bandage, leading to continued bleeding. Moreover, due to the unique nature of Sais, they introduced air into the body, forming air clots that blocked blood vessels. Those stabbed with Sais often succumbed immediately, resulting in a high fatality rate. Consequently, such weapons were often banned as lethal cold weapons.

Before arriving in this world, Max had favored Sais. While their functionality might be relatively simple, they were highly effective for assassination, requiring just a single stab.

"The remaining Adamantium will be used to craft Sais," Max explained. He wasn't certain if Sais existed in this world, so he provided a detailed explanation of their structure and requirements to the Viper.
