19 Samurai Armor

The birthplace of Yashida Ichiro, where he constructed a towering skyscraper many years ago. Before his suspended animation, the Viper and the Black Alliance assisted him in creating the Samurai armor while studying how to harness Wolverine's self-healing ability. Following his revival from suspended animation, Yashida Ichiro concealed himself here, residing within the Silver Samurai armor to sustain his life.

Members of the Viper and the Black Alliance brought Mariko to this location and confined her within a room in anticipation of Wolverine's arrival. Little did they know that another individual had accompanied them!

Max's objective is the Samurai armor, and it makes little sense to linger in this place.

Security here is significantly tighter than elsewhere, with Black Alliance personnel guarding every floor of the building. Max explored the area and made several discoveries, including various toxins researched by the Viper, the machinery for crafting the Samurai armor, and the remaining trace amounts of Adamantium.

The top floor of the building serves as the primary operational area, where they held the Samurai armor.

Standing at approximately two meters in height, the silver-clad figure emitted a cold radiance. Katana swords were holstered on its back and waist, the metal's texture exuding great strength!

In terms of aesthetics, Max found himself increasingly satisfied with the appearance.

He could steal the Samurai armor at this very moment, but Max had no such intentions.

Doing so might disrupt Mariko's plans. If Mariko were to accept the Yashida Group, it would prove immensely beneficial for the things he had in mind.

Furthermore, adhering to the current course of action would facilitate acquiring more rewards with greater ease and even a chance to get the abilities of Wolverine.

After a few contemplative glances at the Samurai armor, Max turned and proceeded toward the chamber where Mariko was confined.

Within the chamber.

Mariko's countenance bore a hint of anxiety, sensing that the situation was not unfolding as she had anticipated.

This sparked a sense of foreboding within her!

The door suddenly swung open.

Mariko glanced up abruptly, noticing the distinctive nature of this door. When she observed Max emerging from it, she was momentarily startled before rushing into Max's embrace.

"Have you come to rescue me?" Mariko inquired, lifting her head.

"I've come to discuss business with you!" Max replied with a smile.

"Business?" Mariko was taken aback and withdrew slightly, appearing somewhat despondent.

Max maintained his smile and elaborated, "I can assure you that Yashida Ichiro will not survive this night. I will assist you in overcoming other obstacles and guarantee your ascent to the leadership of the Yashida Group by dawn."

Mariko suddenly smiled. "It appears I made a mistake."

"If you're referring to that night encounter, then yes! Even without that, I would still be here to discuss business with you now!" Max responded with a mischivious smile.

Mariko shook her head and admitted, "The mistake I made was underestimating you. It seems you had clear goals from the start, just like me."

"What do you want?" Mariko inquired. She had no reason to conceal her intentions at this point, as she was confident that Max had already discerned them.

"Is Viper yours?" Max asked.

"In the past but now she betrayed me," Mariko responded with a shake of her head.

"I'm interested in the Adamantium samurai Armor," Max declared.

Mariko affirmed, "Yes, the samurai armor is crafted from Adamantium, a costly material. Grandpa diverted a significant amount of money from the company to create the silver samurai armor, nearly hollowing out the company. It was my father who helped cover and sustain the company. Consequently, when my grandfather passed the company down to me, my father couldn't accept it."

"It's of no use to me, I can give it to you, but I have a condition." She added.

"Do you need me to take the blame?" Max inquired.

Mariko smiled and nodded, "Certainly not a real 'wanted' situation for you, but I need to do this."

"Yes, it just so happens that I also need to become famous," Max replied with a smile.

Mariko paused, her gaze fixed on Max with seriousness. "After all, you are my first ally. If you have any requirements, you can approach me anytime."

"What if I want to....?" Max asked with a gleam in his eyes.

"Of course!" Mariko confirmed with a seductive smile.

"For now, stay here, and take these," Max handed Mariko several daggers and then swiftly left through the open door, disappearing into the distance.

As Mariko held the daggers in her hand, her expression turned slightly grim. Max had chosen to equip her with daggers, not more powerful firearms.

The fact that he possessed multiple daggers, seemingly anticipating her skill with them, left Mariko feeling exposed, as if he had uncovered all her secrets without her revealing them.
