46 Chapter 46: Chat with Ancient One

After bringing him to a room in the Kathmandu's Kamar Taj, both Law and Ancient One sat down neither of them saying a word but both having a discussion in their own minds.

Ancient One started pouring tea magically in their cups while thinking 'So his mercenary name is Death Surgeon. He is the one responsible for all the changes in the timeline and he is being protected by the one above all? His strength is off the charts but most importantly why is his soul so strong. I could feel his soul pressuring me a little without his knowledge and that cane is also no ordinary cane. It has a spirit inside it?'

While the Ancient One was thinking about all this, Law was silently cursing inside his mind for getting caught in such an awkward situation. He was thinking about what to do to break the silence but before he could do it Ancient one spoke up to his relief.

"Enjoy the tea Mr. Cromwell. But let me introduce myself first, I am the current Sorcerer Supreme, the protector of Earth from the magical threats. You can call me Yao or Ancient One. Before you ask some questions, if you don't mind can I ask you some questions?"

"Sure" Law answered without any hesitation while drinking his tea

"Thankyou. My first question to you is what is your relationship with One above all?" She asked to which Law was surprised at first but quickly understood that she knew that One Above All was the one who was stopping others from spying on him.

"Well he is kinda like a suger daddy or sugar mommy to me depending on his gender." Law said with a grin. He was not lying either as he was the one that had given him the house and the money once he arrived in this world.

Ancient One at first did not know what sugar daddy meant but after she realised what it meant she was surprised and shocked and thought Law was probably lying.

But she couldn't find any deceit in his eyes so she then asked the next question "I can feel great soul power from you. Can you tell me what magic do you use or are you connected with any realm that gives you access to such magic?"

The reason she asked this question was because she wanted to know if he had made a contact with a dangerous entity or a dimension which could lead trouble to Earth.

"Hmm, my magic is something like soul magic but much more advanced. I haven't contacted any entity or dimension so you don't have to worry about it." Law said refering to his Hado and Bakudo

Hearing this she sighed in relief "Soul magic huh? What artifact is your cane?" This question was for her to satisfy her curiosity for knowledge and to know more about the unknown

"Oh this here is my weapon and partner. You can call her Benihime. She is a Zanpakutō. In simple words, a weapon with a spirit who has strong abilities." Law replied by pulling out Benihime from the sheathe.

"Thankyou for answering all my questions. What brings you here to kamar Taj though?" She wanted to pry much more about him but she had already been warned by the higher entities so she reluctantly left the topic

She finally asked the question Law wanted her to ask "I came here wanting to learn more about magic mainly other kinds of magic, history, runes and about artifacts."

"Oh, I wouldn't ask you why you want to learn our magic. But our magic is not to be used for vile things." She said sternly

"But I know you wouldn't use it for such so you could study but you would have to follow the Kamar Taj rules."

"Oh I was thinking maybe I couldn't follow the rules and you could personally teach me. I even have a deal for you." Law proposed to her

Hearing the word 'deal' Ancient One was amused and asked "Oh a deal you say? I will listen"

"I would deal with the problem of the part of your soul which is in Dormamu hands while at the same time preserving your immortality. You wouldn't have to die in the future. As a result, Earth would still have a strong protector, you won't have to give your position to Strange and you would be able to train him better." Law said to which the Ancient One's eye widened

'How does he know? Can he see the future?' Ancient One's mind ran through a thousand scenerios

Although Law liked Strange but he didn't like his decisions. He could have easily stopped Thanos from getting all the infinity stones if he took the help of the other Avengers from the start. Dude could literally see the future and yet didn't try to change it. It's better that the Ancient One has the time stone than him.

Ancient One finally asked "I wouldn't ask how you know it? But how can you guarantee you can do it? Dormamu is a powerful cosmic being. Saving my soul from him is mostly impossible. Besides, You would have to go to the dark dimension which is his home to do it."

"I can do it because well I am an expert in things that deal with souls. Besides Dormamu will meet his match." Law said with a grin. Law had no illusions that he was on par with Dormamu as of yet but he had a Trump card.

Seeing that Ancient One was still suspicious of his claim, he proposed "Let's have a duel. You can see my strength yourself."
