2 Chapter 2: New Life

As I opened my eyes, I saw a well decorated room as I was lying on a comfortable bed.

I saw a letter on my bed that said

'Good Morning Law Cromwell, I have decided this to be your new name as it depicts both the beginning of your new life as well as respects the name of your family from your previous life. I couldn't reincarnate you with a family for some reasons but I have compensated you with a 3 BHK House in Queens,New York. There should also be an ID card, a bank account with $50000 and all other legal documents along with your back story. I wish you well for your new life.

As I read it, the letter turned into light particles and disappeared. I received a letter from One above all, atleast I can boast about it even if I die early.

So my backstory is that I was born in France and my parents died in a car crash when I was 10 and I lived with my grandpa till 15 until he died and his property became mine. Also, I am 16 years old right now. I was studying in California but since my parents died I transferred to Midtown High school. I haven't attended the school yet. Currently there was a summer break for the next two months.

I was not that sad that I didn't have any parents in this life. Even if I had them, I really loved my previous life parents and wouldn't have considered my new parents as my real parents. Besides, Now that I don't have any family, if I make any enemies in the future they won't be able to target them.

I looked in the mirror to see my appearance and I looked like a real life version of Trafalgar Law. I also had his tattoos which although I liked would be a huge problem if people saw me with a tattoo on my hand that literally says 'Death'.

Anyways, I would consider myself handsome.

I called 'System in my mind' and a screen appeared.

I focused on Trafalgar Law Template and received memories of Law learning and practicing different martial arts of the one piece world that he was taught by Doflamingo and his family.

I decided that I would focus on these techniques and on physical workouts.

I checked what year it was and get any significant information about this Universe. So the year I was in was the year 2000. I searched Google about key figures. Thankfully I didn't reincarnate in an era without Google and all.

What I found made me a little scared but a lot excited as there was Tony Stark, Normon Osborne and Victor von doom. Tony has not become Iron man yet, Osborne hasn't become green Goblin yet and doom is just graduated from MIT along with Reed Richards, the two geniuses. Thankfully he is not the comic book Dr.Doom since he doesn't have his face scarred and has not gone on a journey to learn magic. Reed looked like a young Ioan Gruffudd and doom looked like a young Julian McMahon just like in the Fantastic four movie.

I wonder would both Johnny storm and captain America look as Chris Evans?

So this world has elements of MCU, fantastic four and spider verse. Hopefully it won't have mutants, that would make things a lot complicated.

Anyways so now I have a better understanding of the world. So I first decided to focus on increasing the progress of my templates.

After training for a week in Law's martial techniques and improving by physical strength by exercising I managed to increase the template of Law to one percent.

Trafalgar Law Template: 1%

You have been given Kikoku ( Law's sword) as a reward for reaching one percent of Law's template.

The sword in its entirety is approximately 140cm. It has an oblong-shaped hilt trimmed with short white fur, a purple grip with two white rings around it and a yellow pommel, sheathed in a black scabbard decorated by white crosses from the opening to the bottom, and with a small piece of red rope tied near its opening. Although it was not a famous sword, it was still quite good.

I accessed the next set of memories of Law and it was about his sword training.

I decided to practice it for the next three weeks. I even went to gym and paid from the bank balance that God gave me.

Although I wanted to explore the world but I first wanted to have enough power to save myself from any situation since I didn't want to die just after reincarnating. So I persisted to be patient and decided that I would explore this world after the summer vacation got over.

After a month, my progress was at seven percent for Trafalgar Law Template. I still didn't receive any devil fruit powers which I suspect I would receive at 10 percent.

Now I had to choose whether I wanted to continue with Law's template or switch to Urahara's template.

I decided to first get the devil fruit ability of Law before working on Urahara's template.

It would probably take me the entire month to get to 10%. Every successive percentage the difficulty to increase it increases.

Two days before the vacation ended, I managed to reach 10% with Trafalgar law Template.

I became excited seeing this and first decided to see Law's memories regarding his fruit abilities and then practice them.

After seeing the memory, I practiced with them for the next two days. It was so exciting to have such super powers. I never imagined that I would have such powers one day.

Tomorrow, It would truly be the beginning of my second life as Law Cromwell.
