14 Chapter 14: Hydra's Reaction

"True, Black Mask doesn't kill people but Death Surgeon does." Law said
The Mafia boss eyes widened before he calmed down and said "If you kill so many of us, you would be no different from us. You would then have to follow our path of Chaos."
Law looked at him and said
"You see, killing you is not an act of revenge. It's not an act of bloodlust or personal vendetta. No, it's an act of necessity. A responsibility thrust upon me, and one I willingly accept. For every life you've taken, for every innocent you've exploited, I am here to put an end to your reign of terror."
"But let me make one thing abundantly clear. This isn't about becoming a monster like you. It's about eradicating the darkness you've unleashed upon the world. It's about protecting the innocent, giving them a chance at a life free from the tyranny you propagate. Also for my ambitions and dreams, Hydra is not necessary in this world."
"You might believe that your cause is just, that your twisted ideology will somehow bring order to chaos. You claim to be the cogs in a grand machine, but in reality, you're nothing more than a cancer, consuming everything in your path."
As he said that he used his telekinesis power in the ROOM to snap everyone's necks including the two mutants and killing them.
Law didn't take joy in this. In fact, it weighs heavily upon his conscience. But the burden of inaction would be far greater. For the greater good, for the chance of a better world, for his own ambitions and dreams, he will do what must be done.
Law strided out of the warehouse, leaving behind a trail of death HYDRA agents. It was a testament to the incredible prowess of the death Surgeon and his resolve to do whatever was necessary for his ambitions and dreams.

In, a dimly lit room with high-tech screens displaying surveillance footage, maps, and files. HYDRA OFFICIALS are gathered around a circular table, their faces etched with frustration and concern. At the head of the table sat Alexander Piece, a stern and authoritative figure.
Pierce frustratingly said to the other leaders of Hydra that had joined the meeting through video cams "Gentlemen, I'm afraid our plans to take control of Hell's kitchen have hit a major snag. Our operations there have been thwarted by an unknown mutant. Not only has he demolished our facilities, but he's also managed to eliminate a considerable number of our soldiers and two mutants that William Stryker gave us.
"You mean that this Black Mask guy took out our entire team?How is that even possible? We had the element of surprise, state-of-the-art weaponry, and our most skilled operatives on the ground." Octavian Bloom said
Pierce grimly replied "That's precisely what worries me, Bloom. This mutant's powers are unlike anything we've encountered before. From what we have gathered from the recordings of his previous two fights, He possesses teleportation, can create a barrier, remove someone's heart without killing them, superhuman speed, telekinesis, swap places of both himself and others with any object or being. He is also a master of hand to hand combat and has good swordsmanship skills."
Gideon Malik looked concerned "Pierce what are our next steps? We can't let this mutant continue to disrupt our plans and eliminate our personnel. It's a severe blow to our organization."
Pierce resolutely said "We must adapt and evolve, gentlemen. I want every available resource devoted to identifying this mutant's identity. I want a detailed analysis of his abilities, weaknesses, and any potential allies he may have. We need to find a way to neutralize him before he ruins everything we've worked for. Double our efforts in surveillance, intelligence gathering, and research. I'll authorize the recruitment of additional mutants if necessary."
One of the higher ups asked "And what about the soldiers we lost? We need to retaliate and show this mutant the consequences of crossing HYDRA."
At this time Arnim Zola said "Retaliation is necessary, but caution is equally vital. I won't have us rushing into a battle we're ill-prepared for. We'll assemble a specialized task force, augmented with our best technology and personnel. Our priority is to capture this mutant alive, if possible. We need answers, and we need to understand the extent of his powers."
He continued "If we can capture him, we could use his powers to our advantage. We can control the world with such a weapon."
Every single one of them had a glint in their eyes hearing this.
One of the officers said "We'll mobilize the necessary resources and begin investigating immediately."
Pierce laid back on his chair "Good. Remember, gentlemen, our organization thrives on adaptability. We will not allow any mutant, no matter how powerful, to impede our progress. HYDRA endures, and we will overcome this setback. Hail HYDRA!"
The officials nod in agreement, determination burning in their eyes. The room buzzes with renewed energy as they disperse, ready to take on the formidable mutant and protect the interests of HYDRA.

---Hell's kitchen---
Hell's kitchen was in turmoil after the news spread that the German Mafia was no more.
Their territories were up for grab but surprisingly the other gangs didn't go right away to acquire these territories fearing the wrath of the one who did this to come after them next.
Police checked the scene and inspected every dead body. News Reporter reported that the German mafia members had state-of-the-art weapons.
"From the investigation, It is believed that the culprit goes by the name Death Surgeon. Some think both Black Mask and Death Surgeon are the same guy. But we have no conclusive evidence to prove it." The reporters stated
