As the second creature closed in, its tentacles lashing out with deadly intent, Ethan reacted with agility. He swiftly sidestepped, narrowly avoiding the tentacles' reach. With a focused gaze, he summoned the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, conjuring potent mystical restraints that snaked around the creature's appendages, binding them tightly. The bands glowed with a pulsating crimson light, exerting an unyielding grip on the creature's movements. Taking advantage of its temporary immobilization, Ethan swiftly followed up with a series of precise Bolts of Balthakk, directing them towards vital areas of the creature's body. The eldritch energy bolts impacted with explosive force, shattering the creature's defenses and leaving it defeated.

The third creature approached stealthily, its eyes gleaming with a predator's cunning. Recognizing its strategy, Ethan anticipated its attack. He swiftly raised his arms, invoking the Tao Mandalas once again. The eldritch shield enveloped him, shimmering with protective energy. As the creature lunged, its jaws clamping down in a ferocious bite, it encountered an impenetrable barrier. Seizing the moment, Ethan retaliated by channeling the Bolts of Balthakk through his outstretched fingers. The crackling energy bolts soared through the air, expertly directed towards the creature's exposed flank. Each impact elicited a thunderous roar from the creature, as the eldritch energy ravaged its body, leaving it incapacitated.

The fourth creature exhibited a combination of speed and brute force, its multiple eyes fixated on Ethan. Sensing the imminent danger, Ethan swiftly maneuvered, gracefully sidestepping its lunges. With an intense focus, he channeled his sorcerous energy into a complex hand gesture, summoning the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak. The mystical restraints manifested around the creature, coiling tightly around its body, constricting its movements. Ethan seized the opportunity to unleash a volley of precise Bolts of Balthakk, each bolt striking with unerring accuracy. The impact unleashed a torrent of eldritch energy, devastating the creature and effectively neutralizing the threat it posed.

The fifth and final creature, having observed its fallen brethren, unleashed a relentless assault, combining brute strength with unpredictable movements. Ethan knew that defeating this formidable adversary required a calculated approach. As the creature lunged, Ethan swiftly invoked the Tao-Mandalas, the eldritch shield forming a protective barrier around him. With exceptional reflexes, he evaded the creature's swiping claws and retaliated with a combination of swift and precise Bolts of Balthakk. Each bolt struck the creature with pinpoint accuracy, weakening its defenses and leaving it vulnerable.

Despite the creatures' speed, strength, and cunning, Ethan's expertise in his chosen spells proved instrumental in subduing them. His mastery of the Tao-Mandalas provided vital defensive capabilities, while the Bolts of Balthakk served as his precise offensive tool. The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak acted as his trump card, immobilizing and restraining the creatures, giving him the upper hand in the battle.

Ethan stood amidst the snow-covered landscape, a mixture of exhaustion and fascination evident in his expression. He gazed at the lifeless bodies of the defeated creatures strewn across the snowy terrain. "Now wasn't that interesting?" he mused, his breath visible in the frigid air. A sigh escaped his lips as he contemplated the task ahead. "Well, I need to move them into another compartment," he thought, a slight weariness in his tone. The constant construction of compartments had become somewhat tiring, even though he reminded himself that he wasn't the one physically building them. "But then again, I am not the one building it," he muttered to himself, acknowledging the intricate magic involved.

Summoning four duplicates, Ethan directed them to carefully lift and carry the carcasses of the creatures. The duplicates, created with a wave of his hand, efficiently moved the dead bodies, their movements synchronized and purposeful. Working together, they navigated the treacherous terrain, carrying the creatures toward the designated containment facility within the mountain. Ethan observed their progress, satisfied with the effectiveness of his duplicates.

Scene change-

In a pawn shop in California, bustling with activity. Ethan entered the shop, his presence drawing the attention of the overweight man lazily engrossed in his phone behind the counter. "Hello," Ethan greeted, his voice calm and composed. The man's annoyance was evident as he glanced up, taking in Ethan's unassuming attire. "What can I get you, or are you here to sell stuff?" the man inquired, as Ethan placed a small wooden box on the counter.

Curiosity piqued, and the man cautiously opened the box, revealing a perfectly crafted golden bar. His initial skepticism gave way to a brief pause before he closed the box and muttered, "Give me a second." Frustration welled up within him as he dialed a number, muttering under his breath about previous encounters with counterfeit items. After a brief conversation, another man arrived at the shop, ready to assess the authenticity of the golden bar.

-scene change-

Inside a dimly lit alleyway. Ethan, having left the pawnshop with empty hands, stood alone, a sense of intrigue emanating from him. He conjured a portal, a shimmering gateway between dimensions, and stepped through it. As soon as he emerged on the other side, his attire underwent a complete transformation. Gone was the regular shirt, replaced by a more distinctive ensemble, including the ancient backpack he had been given. Ethan couldn't help but express his amusement. "An interdimensional backpack," he remarked, his voice tinged with excitement. He made a mental note to study it further, adding it to his ever-growing list of tasks.

Ethan set the backpack down, revealing his intent to explore a different compartment within his cavernous abode. Unlike the warm and inviting wooden floors of the other compartments, this particular area exuded a somber atmosphere. Everything appeared pristine white, an ethereal glow permeating the space. Entering the compartment, Ethan changed into an attire reminiscent of a surgical gown, an indication of the task at hand.
