50 Chapter 50 The Lizard Part 3/4
The sound of an explosion reverberated throughout Oscorp Tower shaking its very foundation. Oscorp employees panicked in response as chaos erupted.
Everyone was running for the exits. It didn't matter if you were a janitor or a scientist at Oscorp. Under such circumstances, no one cared about social position and trampled over one another in an effort to get out of the building.
One such example of this was the main exit of the building which was cramped with workers squeezing through the door. Until suddenly everyone began pushing back as if running away from something.
"My God! It's that Lizard thing!" Similar exclamations echoed in the crowd as the Lizard pushed his way in through the front door.
Looking around the Lizard stuck out his tongue like most reptiles do with a glint in his eyes.
Not caring about the people around him he forced his way into the building that could barely fit him and began heading for his main objective. The Ganali Device which would play a vital part in his plans for the city.
Some security guards somehow gathered the courage to shoot at the Lizard in an effort to kill him. This all just made him annoyed as he quickly dispatched such annoyances until he finally reached his goal.
[Floor 0 Omega]
This was where Oscorp stored some of its most prized inventions. Most were still experimental needing further study while others like the Ganali device were already perfected.
Looking down the Lizard faced a hand panel that required fingerprints for access. Something he didn't have at the moment due to evolution. However, this didn't prove to be a problem for him as he smashed his hand inside the wall and ripped the door out of the wall.
"Now where are you…" crawling into the room he passed by multiple unique pieces of technology but ignored them for he had something greater to achieve.
"Here you are" Reaching out he slowly stroked the instrument which would make his ambition come true.
It stood 5 feet tall with the legs for balance while having a section for a canister to be placed.
He was so close he could practically taste it! Sticking out his tongue once more in joy he suddenly caught something unexpected.
You see Lizards use their tongues to catch the particles in the air to catch the scents of prey or sometimes to alert them when they are in danger.
"Arghhhh!" Looking at his chest he saw a massive metal horn piercing him through as he coughed blood.
Struggling he turned his neck to face a massive metal rhino that slowly lifted him high using its horn.
"You can't expect it to be that easy right?"
Hearing the voice and smelling the air the Lizard soon recognized who this was and it filled him with fury.
"YOU!!!" He grunted out in anger but was only met with a sarcastic response.
"Me"

[A few moments earlier]
Exiting the data centers I arrived at the main lobby of the building. It appeared to be long deserted but the signs of a forced entry were blatantly clear.
Bodies strewn about cracks on the ground from something heavy and scratches on all the walls heading in one direction.
Not wanting to be left behind I chased after it where I continued to see gruesome scenes from anyone unlucky enough to have crossed his path. All until I reached an area that was hidden behind a secret wall.
"The secret room"
With my stealth suit activated I made my way inside until I saw the Lizard at the end of the hall walking towards the Ganali Device.
"Not good" fighting him again wasn't something I really wanted to experience again, at least not without something that could give me an edge.
Examining the room my eyes instantly examined each device and item. I focused on what the best tool would be for this and my thoughts eventually led to the Rhino Suit.
It was large like the lizard but most of all it was tough and strong. Without a doubt, I knew it would give him one heck of a fight.
Making my way to it I quickly hopped In and began powering everything on before charging forward.
He didn't even see me coming as I pierced him through like a kebab.
"You can't expect it to be that easy?"
"YOU!!!"
"Me" I said with a smile before chucking him against another wall.
He struggled to get back up as his healing factor healed his wounds but I wasn't going to give him the chance.
Going on all fours I began charging in like a rhino before stabbing him again as I broke through multiple walls.
He continuously clawed at my armor but it proved futile as I ripped him off my horn and threw him up into the ceiling.
"Argh I will destroy you!" Back on his feet, he tried fighting back but I perfectly dodged his attempt. Reaching out I took his tail into a tight grip and by the look on his face he knew what I was planning to do.
Pulling I began dragging his body before spinning faster and faster before releasing him as he flew away.
With him temporarily taken care of I retraced my steps before reaching the Ganali Device that now lay on the floor.
Lifting my foot high I stomped on the device making it break into multiple pieces.
"Well, that takes care of that."
"Ahhh My Device"
Turning around I faced the lizard who slowly limped into the room as he fell to his knees. Reaching out he took hold of the pieces before they slipped out of his fingers.
Looking down at him I felt a slight amount of pity but it would be fine once I find a cure for him. Which shouldn't be too difficult. If Peter Parker can cure this guy then I who has practically the entire human genome memorized definitely can.
"Connors, you're sick and you need help. Let me hel- ughh" Before I could finish my sentence I was suddenly whacked in the chest by his tail. Launching me away as I became embedded in another wall.
Standing up Connor's flesh began wiggling as a vial dropped from his hands.
His scales became denser and his nails sharper. While all sense of self disappeared from his eyes as he became a real animal for the first time.
I don't know what that vial was but it definitely can't be anything good. Getting out of the wall I charged at him only to be stopped as he took hold of the armor's horn with one hand.
Gripping it tight he plunged my face into the floor where he began pummeling me then and there. Punches and slashes echoed in the room as he held me down in place.
I tried using the armor to fight back but it had clearly reached its limits as parts were slowly being chipped off.
Warnings continuously flashed in the suit as I tried to find an opening. Thankfully my patience paid off as I found a moment to jump out of the suit.
Looking at me out of the armor he practically drooled like a predator that finally got its prey to come out of hiding.
"Sigh… I can do this all day" That saying never felt more right as I smoothly took in a stance disappearing from his vision.

Peter swung through the city in a hurry to reach Oscorp. Every moment he took could cost a life and he wasn't going to let that happen.
This was his responsibility… his curse.
It didn't take him long to see smoke from the distance. Most of which came from the ground level but there was a good portion of it coming from another part of the building. Where large sounds could be slightly heard with some shaking in the glass.
Peter had a feeling that his goal was there and swung through the glass before landing with one hand in the air.
Boom Boom Boom
Staring in front of him Peter took on a surprised expression as he watched Connors who looked much fiercer than before. However, the real surprise was the unknown man fighting him more specifically his suit.
"Kol's stealth suit?"
He really wanted to ask and get answers but seeing the pressure that the lizard was releasing he knew it would have to wait till later.

"Ahh!" I grunted in pain as I blocked a punch launching me several feet.
This had been going on for less than a minute but I had already taken so much damage. Broken bones, ruptured muscles, and torn skin.
All my flesh damage would heal quickly but the same wasn't the case for my bones. They were healing as well but nowhere near fast enough.
I needed at least 10-15 minutes if I wanted to heal those bones but I didn't have the time. The Lizard seemed to recognize this on instinct as his pressure intensified knowing I was cornered.
My stealth suit also proved futile as his senses were heightened enough to find me. The only thing that really helped out in this situation was the ballistic weave but even that had its limits as my armor was ripped in multiple areas.
Standing back up after being tossed several feet I glared back at him as I prepared for another confrontation.
"Damn, it feels like I'm fighting a death claw." And it really did. Any Fallout fan would know the trauma experienced on your first encounter with a death claw.
Lizard taking on a hunched posture dove right at me again when he was suddenly kicked in the face by a spandex hero.
Peter looked at me curiously but refocused on the lizard who was already back up again.
"Any bright ideas?" He asked while taking a stance with spikes appearing from his forearms. Lightning also lightly danced across his skin showing the situation's urgency.
"Yeah, keep him busy while I try and cook up a cure" I might have been getting during the fight but I did manage to get some samples from him. I even took the broken vial that had some residue from the serum Connor took.
"Hold off the big scary meat-eating Dino? Yea, I can do that."
With confidence in Peter's abilities, I made my exit as I went straight for Connor's lab which happened to be on the floor below so it wasn't too far.
