18 Chapter 18 Planning and Progress

Hydra just as I expected

The way the fake guard operated didn't align with what I imagined Fury's men to do.

In fact, the guard didn't fall in my expectations of Hydra either. I didn't imagine them being so aggressive right off the bat.

It would make more sense for them to pressure me through legal means or even offering benefits for the program. Yet they tried the most aggressive move possible and straight up tried to take me.

Seems like the programming I installed into Specter was worth a lot more than I originally perceived.

At that moment my mind began to break down the entire process of the coding I used and cross-checked every feature I put into the app until I figured out why.

The amount of information I processed would take days weeks even normally but with the drug active in my system it took but a moment.

So that's why they did it…

They didn't try to kidnap me just because the app was good at protecting. No, it was for one specific feature Specter had and that was its ability to learn and adapt.

Every time it faced a hacker Specter would improve and become much harder to hack the next time. Something like that was extremely dangerous in the wrong hands and Hydra wanted to be those hands.

Heck, even I'm realizing now just how broken and dangerous Specter can be especially in the world of Marvel. If a being like Ultron gained this type of ability in his programming. Then it would become near impossible to remove him from the web.

Sigh trouble for another time instead I need to do something about these bodies.

I can't exactly leave their bodies here since Hydras' first suspect will without a doubt be me. Hiding their bodies is also not a long-term solution since I'm still the most likely suspect.

Still hiding them will buy me time. Hopefully long enough for me to prepare.

Checking my phone I saw that I didn't have much time left, a mere hour and a half to clean the scene and chuck the bodies somewhere but it was all I needed.

Quickly I went back to the chem lab, gathered what I needed, and stole a couple of duffle bags from the gym to stuff the bodies in.

With my tools in hand, I cleaned the scene to the best of my abilities. Luckily I didn't have to worry about cameras since the Hydra agents led me to a dead zone in the school.

Next, I gathered the bodies and practically had to drag them one at a time to the nearest sewer drain where I then left them.

However, not before quickly looting them for anything that would be helpful. They didn't have much but I still did get some things from them. Some cash, tasers, and cuffs.

Now I should head back to school and play it off as best as I can.

I just don't know if I should bring this up with Peter, Ned, and Gwen.

Letting them know could put them at risk if they start changing their behavior and patterns. Keeping them in the dark can also be beneficial to me since it'll confuse whoever is in charge of observing them if nothing changes.

Well, I guess I already know the answer after all. Keep them in the dark it is.

The next couple of days went on as usual and I went back to acting as my usual self but that didn't mean I wasn't aware of my surroundings.

In fact, things happened just as I had imagined they would. With us getting a couple of new teachers and staff at school.

None of them were agents I recognized from the shows or movies so that would make them just regular grunts I guess.

This is too bad, I won't deny that a part of me would've liked to see a beauty like Black Widow but that's besides the point.

I made sure to not waste my time and took advantage of the NZT to learn as much as I possibly could in various subjects.

Whether it was something like engineering or simple lock picking. I needed to make sure that I was prepared for any situation no matter how difficult.

The only problem was the massive hangover that NZT gave but thankfully negative effects would be removed the moment I took more NZT.

I also felt that I wasn't using Peter, Ned, and Gwen to the best of their abilities. All three of them could be considered geniuses in their own right and could cream most people from my earth based on just their potential.

Yet here I was having them cross-check Specter's code and looking up laws on companies. So instead I decided to give them some work in the form of gaming apps.

With my perfect recall, I wrote down the basic features of multiple fun games from my previous life that shouldn't be too difficult with their skill level. These included games like Flappy Bird, Temple Run, Subway Surfer, and a whole bunch more that I'm sure will be a hit.

Ned was also the guy in charge of spreading the game's awareness. Especially since he practically knocked it out of the park last time. Truly a man of many talents.

These games will probably start bringing in income relatively fast as well making it a good source of income for future projects.

All this went on up to the day of our fated school trip at Oscorp.

[Outside Oscorp]

A bunch of teenagers could be seen with various looks on their faces ranging from excitement to utter boredom.

"Come on class, stick together, we don't want to lose anyone like last year! We all know how that ended up" Mr Harrington said as he tried to calm down the hormone-powered youths in front of him

Hearing Mr Harrington mention the incident of last year caused many to shutter at the memory.

Ned seemed to be unaware of what happened as they then turned to Kol for answers.

"Huh well I didn't go here last year but I did hear some rumors that a kid ate something from one of the labs that turned him green for a month." Kol recalled despite only seeing it one time.

Truly the miracles of NZT

"Hey, isn't that really bad then? Wouldn't Oscorp get sued over something like that"

"Hm not exactly, you see the fault mostly was on the teacher for not watching the student and the thing that guy ate wasn't harmful and wasn't permanent"

"That's also why it will be harder to get away from the teachers this year" Peter who had been quiet so far said as he thought about the challenge ahead

"You worry too much Peter, we'll get you to Connors" Kol said reassuringly as he patted his friend's shoulders alongside Ned

You'll get to meet Connors and I'll get some spiders Kol thought as he held his backpack carrying containers.

"Oh look guys it's Gwen" Ned said as he pointed to the blonde girl in the distance "Guess it's time for the tour"

Mr Harrington also seemed to notice the arrival of Oscorp staff as he gathered us up to begin the tour.

Watching them arrive I checked my phone as I prepared a special gift for Oscorp in the form of malware.

I knew cameras could be a problem prior to arriving as it wouldn't make sense for them not to have any. Then again Peter did just walk into the spider room during the movie like it was his own backyard.

However I'm not sure how reliable that movie is with how different things seem to be.
