13 Chapter 13 Dagon Technologies

After we finished talking about important matters we hung out for a bit longer and just enjoyed each other's company till they decided it was time to go. Peter also took the laptop with him so he could put the finishing touches on things like the app design and make sure there were no bugs.

Once all that was done they would be ready to send it to the App Store for download.

Left alone in my home I had time to really let it settle in that the age of superheroes is drawing near. I originally thought that I had at least until they found Stark but things are not progressing like I imagined.

This was also a wake-up call for me as I realized that I still didn't really have a way to protect myself.

I really do need points but how should I go about getting them? The upcoming events are filled with opportunities but to what extent am I willing to go?

If I was really point-hungry and had no regard for anyone else's future then I would take all the spiders for myself making it so that there would be no Spider-Man in this world!

Without a doubt, this would earn me 1000 points instantly but then that change would bring a multitude of problems.

One in particular…

His Villains

If there is no Spider-Man then who is gonna handle all his villains? Yeah, it could be distributed among the other heroes but I really wouldn't want to rely on that.

Luckily I'm not that point hungry to ruin Peter's destiny. I'm also his friend so something like that is completely off the table.

With those thoughts in mind, I silently rested in my bed as I thought about the best way to gather points without negatively affecting everything.

I'm not god and not perfect so I can't confidently say that every change I make will have no negative effects whatsoever but that doesn't mean I should at least try and minimize it.

Alright first let's think, what are the most important moments in Spider-Man's life? Off the top of my head, it would obviously be the Spiders and then the people he loves like Uncle Ben.

Sigh

Another factor I haven't considered. Do I help prevent his uncle's death? Doing so could also be considered a drastic change.

Uncle Ben is a significant cornerstone in Peter's life and his words about Power and Responsibility are what help make Peter the friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man that he is.

I also met the man and would feel guilty letting him die to some punk with a gun.

Well looks like I already know who I'm gonna try to save even if it will cause some trouble.

Then there's also the spiders. What if I have them all bite Peter? Would he gain multiple spider abilities and become the Super Spider-Man or would he end up like the one poor Peter that had his consciousness distributed into the spiders?

Hmm, questions for later I guess.

The weekend went by as fast as it had come, starting another hellish week for the students of Midtown High. Many students could be seen walking around with bored gazes as they couldn't wait for the school to end.

This however was not the case for a certain group of four that instead had excited expressions in the library.

"Peter, is everything running fine? Is it ready?"

"Haha, it's more than fine Ned I hardly had to touch anything all I really did was fix some of its visuals but other than that it was perfect" Peter said as he held the laptop like it was his golden goose before he turned to the blonde girl beside him "Gwen how did things go on your side?"

"No problems here I went over some of the laws and it should be fine. Even more so since you guys have Uncle Ben set up as an adult in the group."

After this, all three turned to the leader of the group and the mastermind behind the app.

"Kol all that's left is putting in our company name and publishing the app. Have you thought of a name yet?"

"Hm, in fact, I have" Kol said with a smirk as he tried pushing his hair back to add in the effect but all this did was bring giggles to his friends since he didn't really like intimidating but cringey instead.

Kol gained a tick mark on his brow for a moment in annoyance before he giggled alongside them as well.

"Well what's it gonna be?" They asked km excitement

"Dagon Technologies was the name I always had in mind for the company I would build when I was alone. Do you guys mind if my name is in it?"

Peter was the first to respond "Nah I think it has a nice flair to it but why technologies? Aren't we just a coding company"

This seemed to gather the other's attention as well as they thought about it.

"I don't plan on only coding. In fact, I have plans to eventually make this company just as big as Starks if not bigger." Kol felt it was alright at this moment to show some of his ambition and also took the opportunity to see how they would react.

As expected they were all frozen for a moment when hearing this and even felt it was a bit far-fetched. Yet the idea of building something together that could match giant corporations gave them a hint of excitement.

"Hm I don't know about getting that big but I wouldn't mind helping out along the way" Gwen said with a bit of smugness

"Yea Kol you can rely on us" Peter added with Ned saying he was just happy to be here

"Haha alright guys let's publish it then"

Next Kol reached out and pressed enter into the keyboard as the App finally made its way into the Market marking the beginning of Dagon Technologies.
