89 Joel...

Stab, stab, stab, stab…

Blood spurted all over the place but Joel didn't stop stabbing the last Hydra soldier. His rage had taken over his sanity.

He cried as his hands stained was in red, but his rage was still not appeased. 

"Joel..." I called but he didn't listen.

Betty and Domino looked at him in worry and the rest were the same. 

I had rushed here the moment I dealt with the main base. 

I walked towards my friend… no, my brother.

"That's enough, Joel." I placed my hand over his shoulder. 

He kept stabbing the man but shuddered at my voice in pain and sadness.

"He is dead." Long dead…

He sobbed as his hands gave out and the knife fell out of his hand. 

"Over a decade… I spent over a decade waiting for revenge. But this— this doesn't feel enough." He slammed the ground.

"Those people are long gone, my friend. They died with Red Skull and all that were left… were the henchmen."

I cannot change the past— if I tried, there would be consequences.

The fools of TVA were the least of my concerns. 

Without the help of Time Keepers, the TVA is a joke.

"The base won't hold for long, bossman." Domino said as the water shattered the windows and started flooding the base.

I looked at Joel. "We need to leave."

He looked at me and smiled. "You should leave."

Deadpool whistled but before he could say anything, he was stopped by Moonknight.

"Don't." He warned, making Deadpool shrug.

I sat on the ground next to him. "You know that I cannot leave you here." 

With a sigh, I took the knife from the ground. "You are like a brother to me, Joel… and my mother sees you as her own blood."

He smiled. "She does."

"And if something befalls you… it will shatter both of us."

He chuckled at my revelation. "Maybe." His face morphed into a strained smile. "But maybe I am in the mood to break hearts."

I laughed and stood up. "Good one."

"*Arrgh*" 

I kicked him in the gut, making him cough violently. 

"Do you hear yourself?!?" I roared. "Just because you got rid of Hydra doesn't mean that your life is completed. You haven't even reached thirty, bastard."

He laughed while the rest were shocked.

"I deserved that, didn't I?" He asked, holding his stomach in pain.

"You are the only person that I have after my mother. And you just want to leave me like that?" I punched the ground, cracking it. "Do you know the consequences that will follow after you make that stupid move? Have you thought about me?"

"No, you haven't." I continued. 

He smiled. "Yeah…" 

He looked at a gun laying on the floor and rushed towards it. 

But Betty was faster and kicked it out of his reach.

I rushed at him and using my psionic abilities, I put him into slumber.

"That was… uselessly dramatic." Deadpool said, but as Betty was about to say something— I stopped her. 

"You are right… It was." I looked at them and smiled. "You all leave. I will bring Joel with me."

"It's not very safe, bossman." Domino said. "We should leave together."

"It's fine. I will be there in a while…" I looked at Moonknight. "James is waiting outside, prepared to leave. Go and meet him— I will meet you all at the Order tomorrow."

Moonknight hesitated for a little bit but ended up agreeing. 

"Stay safe, sir." Betty said, with conflicting emotions. 

"Leave."

Nodding at me, they all exited the base.

I looked at the unconscious Joel and sighed. "I knew something like this was going to happen. I have known you for a long time, my friend."

The sole reason I risked taking the Golden Sentry Serum before facing Hydra was because of this single moment.

Hydra was nothing more than flies without their leaders. And I could have taken care of them with just the members of the Order alone.

But I knew Joel would be unstable after that… and I had no intention of involving Essex with anyone that was close to me.

"Forgive me for this, my friend."

I placed a hand over his forehead and using my powers— I rearranged his memories and emotions.

It was wrong but it was the only possible way to stop him from doing something stupid.

I picked him up and teleported to my office. Tucking him in one of the nursing beds— I let out a deep breath.

"When you wake up, you will feel better than ever." 

Hydra was done for… but there was still one being that was left. 

Hive.

I looked at the coordinates that I found from the Hydra base and I knew exactly what I had to do.

Using my powers— I teleported right over the Bermuda Triangle of the Atlantic. 

"One of the monoliths is hidden here…"

My eyes glowed purple as I used my spectral vision. 

I looked at the surface and I kept scouting the area— deep beyond human reach.

There it was. 

Monolith.

With telekinesis, I dragged it out of the water surface and teleported to my base. 

Placing it in a safe spot, I checked my other coordinates.

"The Sahara."

Following the same pattern, I teleported to the world's biggest desert. 

This time, it was just as easy to locate the monolith as before. As it was located in the middle of a Saharan tribe.

A cult.

They built an entire tribe around the monolith and worshipped it by forming a cult.

But again, it was easy snatching the monolith from them. 

A little bit of memory alteration and the monolith was mine. 

I let go of my disguise and stood in front of the monolith with my long black hair. 

The bulging muscles were ugly. So, I had to use biokinesis to keep my body slim.

Next, I went to the Pacific and similar to the Atlantic one, I had it plucked out the monolith from the ocean surface.

Three of the four pieces. 

Powers made things so much easier. Without these powers, it would have taken me months to recover all these pieces. And now…

It took me minutes.

The Himalayan one was a little difficult as it was stuck a hundred meters inside the mountain. But I still got it.

They were not recovered by shield, so that was to my advantage. 

Atlantic, Saharan, Pacific and Himalayan.

With that, I had gathered all four monoliths.

These overly dramatic chaps will continue till like ch 102 with some action in between. After that the chaps are him being cocky and face-slapping others. And yeah… Kang.

Marvel Facts: (1) There are 7 Infinity Stones (8 if u consider the Death Stone but that was created using Reality Stone… so Meh.) The 7th stone is the Ego Stone that hosts Nemesis' consciousness. And if all 7 stones are united, she will be reborn.
