Aadi pov
After completing my BTech, I found a nice job that pays 150k per year. The job allows me to work from home, with a compulsory 72-hour weekly schedule. While it's nice to work from home, I've been feeling bored lately. Recently, I finished watching the latest episode of "Chainsaw Man" while enjoying some chicken wings.
In the third person point of view:
As Aadi put the last chicken wing in his mouth, he felt the bone get stuck between his throat. Panicking, he messaged his neighbor to call an ambulance. Ten minutes later, the neighbor arrived with a doctor. The doctor advised, "We need to take him to the hospital urgently." They carefully lifted Aadi to place him in an ambulance.
While crossing a river bridge, the ambulance was involved in an accident due to the bone stuck in Aadi's neck. Miraculously, his body was ejected from the ambulance and carried away by the river's current.
Eventually, Aadi's body was rescued. However, fate had more in store for him. The vehicle taking him to the hospital collided with a speeding truck, causing his body to hit it. Then, his body was struck by a car and later by a motorcycle. The painful sequence of accidents ended when the speeding bike crushed his head.
Aadi's point of view:
"It hurts! It hurts so much! Can I still talk? Where am I? Is this the afterlife?" Aadi found himself in what looked like a palace-like building.
At the end of a grand corridor, he discovered a magnificent door. Upon opening it, he saw a beautiful woman seated on a throne above the room. Curious and confused, he asked her, "Excuse me, ma'am. Where am I? And who are you?"
She looked at him kindly and replied, "You see, all your parallel selves across different universes should have died from that bone incident. But you survived because more than two days after your confirmed death, you became a unique existence in the entire Omniverse—much like me. I am Maya, the supreme god of the Omniverse or what you might call 'the mother of all beings.' Now that you've become a unique existence like me, you're part of my kind. Is that okay?"
He smiles because that expression brings him comfort, and he accepts her as his own kind. His previous step-family was selfish, and he grew up as an orphan. "Maya," he says.
Maya, ruler of the Omniverse, smiles back. "Then I will reincarnate you in another world," she declares. "In this new world, you will grow strong. The world, system, newbie gift pack, and soulmate will all be selected by lottery."
"Let's begin," he replies.
"First, let's choose the world." A giant wheel materializes before them, displaying every known anime, TV series, and movie.
He presses the start button, and the wheel spins until it stops at the Marvel Multiverse.
"Marvel Multiverse," she says. "It ranks among the top 5 worlds in the Omniverse. But be cautious—it's not a starter world. You'll need to tread carefully at every step. When you reach multiversal levels of power, you can even access the comic universe."
"I understand," he says. "Living there won't be easy, but I'll give it my best."
Next up is the system. With a wave of her hand, the content on the wheel changes—sign-in systems, training systems, monster systems—and then stops at the Super God Famous Scenes Sign-In System.
She says, "It is a very nice system. You should sign in famous scenes that are most helpful to you at the moment."
He says, "This system, which I have seen in two or three other places, is nice."
She continues, "Now, an important newbie gift pack. Let's start spinning."
He presses the button again, and it starts spinning, spinning, spinning. It stops at the golden Superman template with infinite potential.
She exclaims, "This is a superb gift! You will unlock 100% of the template. However, you won't have his strength—only his bloodline and abilities. Because he is Golden Superman, you can achieve his strength within a few years. Plus, it has infinite potential, meaning you can reach OAA level with this help."
He gratefully responds, "Thanks, Maya."
She smiles and says, "I don't control anything; it's your luck."
He expresses his gratitude, saying, "Thanks for giving me this chance."
Finally, she adds mysteriously, "Okay, last but most important: your soul mate." The content on the wheel changes to female character names like Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Black Cat, Susan Storm, Gwen Stacy, Maya (Ruler of Omniverse), and Death.
Confused, he asks Maya, "Why is your name on the wheel?"
She replies with a hint of longing, "You and I are both unique existences. So I wrote my name too—if I have a chance to be with you."
He presses the button once more as anticipation fills the air...
