35 why did I spare Triton?

I can see a lot of you are upset about the choice to spare Triton. But from the beginning that was my only option. It was the one that made the most sense, From the narrative stand point.

The Mc wants to be a god. Not like poseidon and zeus, selfish and arrogant. But strong and proud. Like Hestia and Hades.

Had he killed Triton he would have proved to himself and the rest of the world that all gods were the same in some way.

That he was no better than his father.

I can understand why some of you are very upset. But to prove a point and do the right thing you sometimes have to do the thing you want the least. Even when it hurts like hell.
