64 WAR OF THE GODS! Part 8

The battle of the gods raged on. With Ares and Hercules both winning their rounds, they put the gods of Greece ahead of the Shinto gods two to one. Apollo as well managed to overwhelm the lightning demon god Raijin. But things wouldn't continue so smoothly for the Greeks. Triton lost horribly to the demon god Suijin. Losing his left arm in the process. But the Greeks losses didn't stop there.

Fujin and Hermes also had their match. Theirs were a race. Much different than the others. And in the end the messenger god and the god of wind tied, both crossing the finish line at the exact same time.

The Next match would be Artemis vs Takeminakata. This one was also different from the others as it wasn't a direct fight between hunters, but a hunt itself. Who could hunt the most creatures within a time period.

Artemis and Takeminakata both started at one side of the Arena and in front of them was a forest, packed with multiple mythical creatures. Dragons, Unicorns, Serpents, and more.

Once the sun set the two hunters were released into the thick forest and began their hunt. Artemis was the first to make a kill, taking down a unicorn with one arrow that pierced straight through the creature's throat. A quick clean kill that racked up twenty points. It was quite the catch.

But Takeminakata wasn't far behind.

In the end their hunt came to a conclusion with two big kills each. The Greek Goddess Artemis who managed to kill a dragon king.

And Takeminakata killed the serpent king and a nine tailed fox.

The result of their hunt ended with a Draw.

Meaning that the two teams were going into the next round with The Greeks leading by one.

The Next round would be a carefully watched one as it would be the Goddess of the sun vs the god the sea.

" ALRIGHT FOLKS! What a back-and-forth tournament we've had. And two consecutive draws. OH BOY!!!!" The announcer spoke.

Within the Shinto waiting room, the Shinto were beginning to become restless.

" Damn it! We needed that last one to tie this up. And now we're stuck at a disadvantage. What is wrong with you lot?" Mikaboshi asked.

" What is wrong with us?! You are the one who suggested we go to war with the Greeks. Because of you, Hachiman and Raijin are dead. Bishamonten is barely hanging on by a thread, and we still haven't even faced the big guys yet. We've suffered because of your pointless war. So don't you dare ask what is wrong with us!" Susanoo shouted at the dark god. The two gods got in each other's faces and seemed like they were about to come to blows.

" Who do you think you are talking to, you miserable little--" Mikaboshi was speaking. His dark tendrils began flaring and his sharp teeth flashed in Susanoo's face. But before either man could act a blade made of pure fire separated them both.

" Mikaboshi. Need I remind you, who's presence you re in?" Amaterasu asked. " Susanoo is my brother, if you pick a fight with him then you're picking a fight with me. I'd advise you to remember that. And as far as this little tournament goes, we still have a chance to pull things back. After all, I am going next. And I will not lose." Amaterasu stated as she walked out of the room.

" You better not." Mikaboshi replied. ' I have too much riding on this to have it lost because you wanted a bloodless battle Amaterasu. if you lose, I swear I will kill you.' Mikaboshi thought to himself.

All of this, everything that had happened from two hundred years ago that started the transgressions between the Greek and the Shinto had all been Mikaboshi's doing. And now at the cusp of getting what he wanted, he was losing. And that angered him.

Back to the Arena.

" And with that being said, it is my pleasure to introduce to you the mightiest of the three siblings. The dynamic lady of the sun. The most sought-after woman in all of Japan. AMATERASU!"

The heat in the arena began rising and the stands themselves began to melt.

" Do you feel that heat? It looks like we're about to bear witness to Lady Amaterasu's dance of fire."

" This is it; this is where we take it. No one can stand up to lady Amaterasu's flames."

" And Coming in from Greece, this man's Legend has only increased. Rumors say this man was once human and has taken the place of a god. This man is the god of the seas in Greece. POSEIDON!!!!"
