50 God vs King

" Qin Shi Huang. The emperor of China." I grinned from ear to ear. A feeling of nostalgia spread all over my body. I haven't met a man so bold, so proud, so brolic since Leonidas. " I've wanted to meet you since I journeyed to China." I told the man.

" Have you now? Well, here I am. What now?" he spoke.

I looked around at the ruined little village and sighed.

" Want to help me put out the fire?" I asked.

" Sure, do you have an idea in mind?" He asked.

I guess now is good a time as any. I raised my hand and slowly started drawing in the water from the nearby river.

The people of Nanjing all stared at me in varying visages. Some were impressed and grateful, but many others were fearful and terrified.

" Water demon! Water demon!"

I heard one of the women shout to the top of her lungs, declaring me a demon.

But it didn't matter. I continued putting out the fires that the beast had started and then gently settled the torrent of water down.

" HAO! That was quite impressive! I thank you for protecting the people and putting out the fires. But may I ask why a stranger like you is in my lands?" Qin Shi Huang asked.

" We-"

" NEVER MIND! FRIEND allow me to properly thank you for your deeds." Qin Shi Huang interrupted me, not even giving me a chance to tell my story.

He certainly is a... Enigma. His Charisma is unparalleled. And his strength is nothing to scoff at. This guy might truly be the king of kings.

" Now, before we move on to anything else. Can someone tell me what happened to the soldiers I sent here? I believed I had sent enough to deal with this problem by themselves." Qin Shi Huang asked.

And a quiet grew through the streets.

" They were oppressing the people here. They were robbing, and smashing up this part of the city, and they even tried to force themselves on my friend." I told the man.

Qin Shi Huang seemed to be staring at me, studying me, observing every part of my being, despite not being able to see.

" I see, you're telling the truth. And where are they now?" He asked.

" Swimming somewhere, I guess. In a place where they can't hurt anyone else." I told the man.

The citizens of the city seemed to tense up a little, most likely understanding the meaning behind my words.

Qin Shi Huang sighed and rubbed his blindfolded face.

" I see. In that case-" Qin Shi Huang suddenly vanished from his place and appeared in front of me. " CHI YOU-HALBERD FORM-WHITE TIGER CRESCENT MOON!" Qin Shi reeled his leg back and kicked towards me in a crescent arc.

I raised my leg up and blocked the kick with my shin. It was heavy, Qin Shi Huang was stronger than any man I have ever faced in hand-to-hand combat. In my sealed state, I actually might be able to enjoy this.

" Hehehahahaha!" I chuckled. I grinned at the man " That's quite a kick you've got there Qin."

Qin Shi Huang grinned as well.

" Oh my, someone who can stop my kick? This world really is full of wonders. But I wonder, how much can you take?" Qin spoke. He took in a deep breath, while our legs pushed against each other, and exhaled sharply and a burst of wind hit my leg. The moment it did I felt the strength in my leg start to leave and Qin Shi Huang started pushing me back.

" Ho? Stil able to match me? You are a beast."

Sparks began forming between the friction of our two legs pushing back and forth, and finally the collision ended with the two of us kicking towards the sky so hard that it partially parted.

Qin Shi Huang and I both stared each other down. Both of us ready for the next strike.

" What do you say we take this outside?" I asked the man. I pointed over his shoulder to the Lands beyond the city.

" It would be a shame to have saved this city, only for the two of us to destroy it in our bout." I told the man.

He smiled at me and patted his chest.

" HAO! Of, Course. And it would give us more room to stretch our legs." He spoke.

" Stretch our legs. Right." I replied. I scoffed at the man and watched as he turned around.

He must be brave to not assume I would attack his back. But then again, maybe he isn't concerned about it at all.

" Follow me." Qin Shi Huang spoke. He took off into the forest with great speed, unheard of from a mere man.

" Liu!" I turned around before running to see Yifei staring at me in concern.

" I'll be back, just wait right here, okay."

" Okay." She replied.

I turned back and ran off into the woods, chasing after Qin Shi Huang, he was fast, but I caught up to him quickly.

" Ho? You're fast too. Man, you're amazing." Qin Shi Huang spoke.

" You're quite the man yourself. I've only ever met one man in my very long life that has shown the true qualities of a king such as yourself." I told the man.

" Oh? And who would that be?" He asked.

" King Leonidas." I told the man.

" Who is that?" He asked me.

" Try traveling west, you'll know his name when you hear it." I replied.

" I will certainly see to that after your funeral." Qin Shi Huang spoke.

Qin Shi and I charged each other, rushing headfirst into battle. Our fists upheaved trees from the ground and our kicks split the sky and sounded like thunder.

For hours we battled, we battled until the sun rose, we battled until the sun fell once again, and yet we kept going.

" HAHA! SO, YOU FINALLY LOOK ME IN THE EYES, QIN SHI HUANG!" I exclaimed, all our fight not once could I tell what was going on underneath that blindfold, and now having finally seen his eyes, I had to admit he was quite the handsome man.

Qin Shi Huang grinned and rushed me again.

He was dangerous, that heavenly hand defense of his and that breathing technique, they cut my power in half even further than it already was.

Each time I throw a punch, Qin Shi redirects the energy from my punch and slams it back into me. It's a problem. Yet I still pushed on nevertheless, I didn't want to lose this fight.

We continued fighting and yet we did more even talking about our lives as we pummeled each other.

" Where are you from?" Qin Shi asked as he tried to kick me in the head.

" A place in the west, Called Sparta, in a country named Greece." I told the man, I ducked under his kick and returned one of my own right into his gut.

Qin Shi Grinned and backflipped away to avoid it.

I cursed myself for missing such an open attack, but Qin Shi Huang isn't your ordinary opponent. He was different from the soldiers back home. His fighting was refined and more precise. His attacks lacked any kind of flair but focused solely on their intent.

" What about you, Qin? Where are you from?" I asked the man.

" I was born in enemy territory. Under the influence of the Zhao family. I was abandoned there as a kid." he replied.

" I see. I'm sorry to hear that. But it seems maybe they did the right thing. Maybe if they hadn't abandoned you, you might not have achieved what you have." I told the man.

" I've thought about that every day. And maybe you are right. but I do sometimes think about what could have been." Qin replied. His charisma wasn't gone, but he did seem more somber.

" Maybe, Qin, maybe. But that's the things I've learned about maybes. The more you focus on them the harder it is to move past things. And in doing so, you cripple yourself." I told the man.

Five full days of nothing but constant fighting. No, food, no water, no rest. Just the non-stop heat of battle.

I had suffered many wounds under his sharp attacks, and the same could be said vice versa. And yet I've never had so much fun in my life.

It felt like we were both drawing closer to our limits.

" You are right, now what do you say we continue this battle of ours?" He asked.

His voice was back to that charismatic, energetic form from before. He assumed his stance again.

" What a beast." I exclaimed.

I got ready to continue myself.

We rushed each other again.

By the time our fight felt like it was coming to a close, the land around us had been ruined. And yet we continued.

For ten whole days our battled raged on and finally on that last day.

" CHI YOU- SPEAR FORM MOUNT TAI DRAGON CLAW!" Qin Shi Huang's attack felt different from the others, this one emanated a feeling of dread.

Up until this point I had fought him with nothing more than my own fists. Evening the playing field.

But this was different from his previous attacks.

I looked closer at the man and a dragon appeared behind him.

He lunged towards me, running rampant as energy swirled around him.

I raised my fist and pulled back, summoning a quake bubble to counter the coming attack.

" Been holding back, eh?!" He asked. He didn't seem mad, more intrigued that I still had some tricks of my own up my sleeve.

" So, have you." I told the man.

He smirked and shouted as he drove his two Nail guards right towards me. I countered by punching the air right in front of his fist.

The air cracked and the two energies began battling against each other.

His fingers and my fist pushed against each other fiercely, and then he did something that I should have seen coming.

He took in a deep breath and exhaled right at my arm, weaking my strike. It didn't stop the wave.

His Fingers managed to slip past my fist and struck me square in the chest.

I spit up a mouthful of blood from the force of his blow, piercing straight through my flesh. But it didn't stop me. I continued pushing forward and punched Qin Shi right in his face. Hitting him point blank with one of my quakes.

His eyes turned blood red and he spit up a mouthful of his own blood. His nose started bleeding and he was sent flying with the destruction that came forward.

Miraculously, he managed to flip himself in the air and land on his feet.

" Your Majesty!" Qin Shi Huang's guard had arrived too the battlefield.

" Stay out of this. None of you are to interfere." He spoke. He raised his hand and wiped the blood from his face.

" Can you still go, Qin Shi Huang?" I asked the man.

" I was getting ready to ask you the same." He spoke.

He assumed his stance and so did I. We both knew no matter what happened now, this would be our last attack.

" This has been the time of my life. Thank you, Qin Shi Huang."

" Right back at you, Peng-you..."

Qin and I charged each other. The ground cracking beneath each of our steps, the wind bashing against our faces, the blood in our veins pumping and boiling.

Qin and I arrived withing inches of each other. We stomped on the ground with our leading feet, and it cratered. We reeled back and with a smile as large as the sky on our face, we punched each other, no tricks, no skills, just pure raw strength. We hit each other right in the face. And... We dropped.

We both struggled to catch our breaths as we stared into each other's eyes.

" Heh, you hit the ground first... I win." I told the man.

" No, you did, I managed to catch the ground before I hit it. I win." Qin Shi argued.

" Hahahaha!"

"Hehehahahahaha!"

" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!" We both laughed together, the foley our arguments so weak that we couldn't help but just laugh at ourselves.

" Hear, me. My guard. This is a royal decree, should we pass out, nothing is to happen to him. I wish. I wish to have a drink with you, stranger from the west." Qin Shi Huang spoke.

" I'd like that Qin Shi, I really would." I told the man.

" Hehahahahheheheheeeee~" We both continued laughing together until the sound of our voices eventually came to an end.
