The Old King's Motive

The sudden deceleration from high-speed sprint to full stop didn't seem to affect T'Challa. He had displayed an extreme control of his body strength, including the ability to answer the hologram calmly!

"Yes, I will wait for you in the palace!"

The old king's hologram disappeared shortly after he finished speaking!

"Esteemed guests, I believe that you have heard my father's words. It seems that today's battle must be postponed!" T'Challa raised his head, and spoke with a hint of regret flashing in his eyes!

"Sigh, right on time as always! Looks like the good show had to be paused!" Tony sighed and said to Banner with great disappointment in his voice!

"Well, we can't keep the old king waiting. There's no time to lose, we should hurry back!"

Li Yue sighed internally in relief. He was thinking hard about how much strength he could use against T'Challa! He was acutely aware of how much his own strength had grown. Even one percent of his current strength would be equal to several dozen tons!

He didn't think that T'Challa, who was roughly at the same level as Captain America, would be able to resist his attack with his physical body.

Moreover, T'Challa refused to wear his own Black Panther battle armor. Li Yue's hands were basically tied! If Li Yue accidentally killed T'Challa, the old king would've fought him to the death! More importantly, his Vibranium battle armor that were in production would probably be ruined!

The old king's call couldn't have come at better time for Li Yue!

"Well, I have a better idea. Your armor should be ready shortly after lunch. Then, we could both wear a Vibranium armor, and spar without the fear of getting hurt!"

T'Challa still hadn't given up. They didn't have the time right now, but he couldn't help suggesting to do it properly after Li Yue's armor was finished!

"Alright, then we will do as you say. We will spar later. However, we should hurry back right now, alright?"

Li Yue did not reject T'Challa's suggestion. If they both wore a Vibranium battle armor, he didn't have to worry about losing control and fatally injuring T'Challa!

T'Challa's Vibranium battle armor probably wouldn't be able to offset too much of Li Yue's strength, since the force would still be transferred to his body, but it would still be a massive improvement. At the very least, with Li Yue's strength at minimum level, T'Challa's life won't be in danger!

"Guests, please board the aircraft! We are going back!" T'Challa beckoned to Tony and the others.

The group boarded the advanced aircraft again in silence. After the hatch closed, the engine emitted blue flames, slowly lifting the craft into the air, before it shot right at the palace!

It bears repeating that Wakanda's aircraft was very advanced. Not only was it very stable when flying, but it was also very fast. They were dozens of kilometers from the palace, but the travel took less than three minutes.

The aircraft's hatch slowly opened as it descended through the air. The old king welcomed as Li Yue and the others disembarked from the aircraft.

The king was not alone: he was accompanied by a group of oddly-dressed people. There were men and women, all black people! One of them seemed to be holding a plate in his mouth. Another had a plate-shaped hair, and one seemed like he had a pile of cow dung on his head…

Li Yue knew about these people. They appeared in the first Black Panther movie as the elders of Wakanda! They represented the tribes of Wakanda, and not all of them believed in the Goddess Black Panther. Some of them believed in other gods!

Li Yue did not know much more about this. After all, he was not interested in the internal politics of Wakanda! He only came to Wakanda for the sake of Vibranium battle armor, as well as meeting the future Black Panther, T'Challa!

Of course, it was best to have a good relationship with T'Challa. That way, when T'Challa took over the throne, it would be much more convenient for him to get more Vibranium!

"Esteemed guests, how was your visit to Wakanda?" The old king smiled and said to Li Yue and the others as they came down from the flying device.

"Haha, excuse us for bothering you and making you welcome us personally!

"Through my tour, I have found that Wakanda is indeed a rich and powerful country. Under the king's wise governance, the people are prosperous and happy, with smiles always on their faces!

Li Yue, of course, deployed the same strategy and praised Wakanda's strength and beauty. He didn't care if he was struck by lightning! This old king had been so friendly and so easily fulfilled his request for Vibranium armor!

"Haha, Master Li Yue, you flatter me! Let's not continue to stay outside. Come in and talk while we eat!"

The old king smiled wide when he heard Li Yue's praises, his white teeth contrasting his dark face!

"Many thanks for the old king's hospitality!"

Li Yue thanked him, and then everyone followed the old king into the palace.

The dining hall in the palace was decorated very luxuriously, but few had seen the interior of place: it was only used when the king met important guests!

Obviously, there would be a short list of people that would be allowed in this hall to begin with. On top of that, Wakanda had maintained long policy of isolationism. Very, very few outsiders had entered this palace.

Therefore, this very luxurious dining hall had been left unused.

However, it was finally filled with life again today.

The old king sat at the head of the table, while T'Challa sat at his left side. After making sure Li Yue and the other had been seated, the old king waved his hand.

Immediately, sumptuous dishes were brought out one after another! There are mostly meat dishes, which was in line with the current situation in Wakanda!

The people who served the dishes were actually the members of the personal guards who surrounded Li Yue and the others in the morning, which somewhat surprised Li Yue and the others!

But Li Yue quickly understood the situation. This is probably the first time in a while that Wakanda had held such a banquet.

"These are some of Wakanda's specialty products. There's no need to be polite. Let's start enjoying them!" The old king announced, and took the lead in eating the food! Li Yue and the others followed suit!

"Hey, this is really good!"

The meal lasted for more than an hour before it finally ended. Unfortunately, the old king only briefly introduced the elders of the various clans to Li Yue and the others before the elders left. They did not eat with Li Yue and the others!

Li Yue felt a bit disappointed. He wanted to know how the elder with the plate in his mouth ate. Sadly, he couldn't see it this time!

"Mr. Stark, you mentioned before that it was an organization called Justice League that blocked the invasion of Dark Dimension and its master, Dormammu. Is this true? And what kind of organization is this Justice League?"

The old king finally opened his mouth and asked about Justice League after everyone had finished eating and the tables had been cleaned!

"It seems that the old king is finally going to reveal his motive!"

Li Yue had suspected that the old king had his own objective. He gave them armor, sold Vibranium materials at a low price, and even invited them to have a lunch banquet. And now, he was ready to reveal his true objective!
