Li Yue suspected that if Magneto didn't have the plot armor in the movie, Shaw would've won the battle countless times over.
"Li Yue, go and bring Banshee and Alex here. Let's attack Shaw together!"
"Wouldn't that just give Shaw more energy to absorb?" Li Yue questioned the decision!
"I have observed Shaw's ability. His mutation allowed him to absorb and release energy. But there must be an upper limit for his absorption ability, and if he exceeds this limit, his body will not be able to withstand it. He just absorbed a nuclear reactor, so he should be close to his upper limit. We just have to push him over," the Professor explained to Li Yue.
"Well, I'll take your word for it." Li Yue saw that Erik could still hold on for a while, so he decided to bring Alex and Banshee.
Alex was currently surrounded by armed soldiers. He held his hands behind his head, afraid to fight against the soldiers.

Banshee was in the middle of a jump when Li Yue unexpectedly ambushed him. The sea in front of him turned into sand, and he got a mouthful of it. Li Yue almost burst out laughing.
However, Li Yue had no time for playing around. Eric was almost at the limit as Shaw effortlessly melted a hole through every metal shield that he used.
Li Yue rushed to Erik and escaped with him.

On the other side, the Professor ordered Banshee and Alex to attack Shaw from afar.
Shaw arrogantly took the attacks head-on and absorbed all the energy into his body. At the same time, he increased the frequency of his own attacks, forcing Li Yue to constantly evade along with Magneto.
The battle continued for more than ten minutes before Shaw felt something wrong. He divided his attention from Magneto and started attacking Banshee and Alex as well, forcing Li Yue to multitask and save Shaw's current target each time.

The energy density had turned the red energy into a purple-tinged one. Li Yue could feel the terrifying amount of power contained within it even from more than ten meters away. It was a horrifying sight.
Finally, Shaw stopped gathering energy and launched himself toward Banshee, charging like a meteor cutting through the sky.
Li Yue immediately teleported to Banshee's side and took him away, narrowly dodging the energy strike.
This was Shaw's ultimate move. The energy that he had condensed for more than ten seconds left a scorched mark on the ground where he passed.

"Li Yue, he wasn't targeting Banshee, but the warship!" Before Li Yue could breathe a sigh of relief, the Professor's anxious voice suddenly appeared in his mind.
Li Yue turned around when he heard the Professor's words. Sure enough, the energy ball was launched at an extremely fast speed at a warship. The seawater was boiled away by the immense amount of energy in the ball.
Li Yue had no time to think. He immediately disappeared.

"Sir, the radar detected a terrifying energy signature heading towards us! We can't stop nor avoid it!"
On the warship, a soldier suddenly reported loudly.
The commander of the ship had no time to listen to the report, however. He had been monitoring the situation on the shore with a binocular and was shocked to find a mass of energy was launched right at his warship.
"It has been an honor to work with you." The commander straightened his back and patted the shoulder of a soldier beside him, resigning to death.
"Me too, sir!"

Suddenly, a figure appeared to intercept the energy ball when it was less than ten meters away from the warship.
The figure raised his arms, which began to transform beginning from his palm. The arms gradually turned into a silvery-white metal and finally formed a silvery-white shield as tall as a person and more than a meter wide.
However, this shield was too thin—it was only a few millimeters thick.
The process seemed slow, but less than a second had actually passed.
The ball of energy smashed on the shield in front of the figure.
Boom!!!
A deafening sound shook the warship, and everyone covered their ears.
A small mushroom cloud rose from the violent explosion. The surrounding seawater was evaporated by the explosion, creating a white mist cloud and a sizzling sound. The figure was completely obscured.
