|| Siduri's Point Of View // Uruk's Palace Grounds || × || Day 02 ||

At noon, the sun is at its peak and Uruk is currently on rest time. Families gather at this very moment in their homes to eat and socialize with each other and merchants temporarily close their trading stalls.

While all these actions are carried out inside the city, I slowly walk towards the main garden of the palace. As has become his custom in these past 2 days, Gilgamesh has been eating his meals in this place, where he normally spends most of his time as well.

"He could use a little change in where he spends his time though..." - I said to myself, followed by a brief sigh. I've already talked with him about this yesterday night, but he ended up strongly refuting my idea, saying something like "-...Siduri, there is not a better, nor more beautiful place in this palace than the royal garden. I feel at peace here and that brings me contentment, worry more about your diet, you're getting 'fuller' with each meal eaten." - When my mind reached this last point, a vein exposed itself on my forehead. "You have to have some courage to say that to a lady, you fool!" - I said to myself, pouting hard, while my eyes narrowed in sweet madness.

But as I reach the end of my thought process, I end up laughing a little, bringing my hand to cover part of my face.

"Of course, I would never be able to make Gilgamesh change his mind about something, he is nothing more than a stubborn man when he wants something, and he will as close as never, change his mind about it." - As I say this, my face carries a small smile, conveying tenderness and humor, a distant contrast to my fake anger about his rude comments.

...

Finally arriving at my destination, I take notice of the entrance to the royal garden.

Rarely are there any doors in the Palace, due to the trust and free spirit that Gilgamesh carries within himself. From where I am, under an entrance, marble arch that leads to the garden, I see first and foremost, a big water fountain which is usually filled with fish that swim 'freely' through the clearest areas of the water and other aquatic animals that use leaves, rocks and other pieces of its ecosystem to make its day and life, like the small turtles that hide from the larger fish, inside small logs found at the bottom of the fountain.

Around it, marble walls catch my attention as well, as their beauty never ceases to amaze me, every time. The walls remain exponentially predominant in my vision, covered by climbing plants that give a more natural look to the garden, and some tables made of marble as well, spread throughout the place, containing various fruits and drinks, so that Gilgamesh does not ever need to ask for them, all he has to do is want them and they will be there by his side, always fresh.

But what draws the most attention every time that I am here, is the large balcony opposite the entrance where I right now stand. With a view to the left side of the Palace, observing parts of the city and the green and majestic mountains in the background, it's always something awe-struck.

And then, there sits my 'goal'.

Gilgamesh is sitting in a comfortable-looking chair, facing the outside of the Palace, probably observing the mountains. And, without even being able to speak to him first, he faster than I could, directs his voice at me, calm, but humorous.

"Siduri? To what do I owe the honor of your visit this morning?" He asks, a joking tone present in his voice while he turns to face me. And I laugh lightly at his way of addressing me.

"My king," I begin respectfully, "... I have come to inquire about your well-being and your plans for today." I finish, now looking a little more serious than before, but still in a relaxed manner, as I always am with him.

In the hours that went by as fast as they came, yesterday, I talked to Gilgamesh about the fact that our city suddenly found itself in a completely unknown place, from one moment to the other, and we concluded, that after Gilgamesh used his powers, that we are actually in a similar world as ours, but some years in the future and with small differences in story. Mainly in differing famous and known people and some legends as well. Even though it's quite strange, that we suddenly found ourselves in a different place, everyone in Uruk is taking it better than any person would, since we have our king with us, with him here we don't fear much. We all have some reservations about what may have happened, but we are not scared, we cannot be. For the sake of our lives, of Uruk and Gilgamesh.

After some talking, and some back and forth, Gilgamesh suddenly told me what he planned to do shortly. Today I mean.

"I think I will leave Uruk in a few hours, and explore a little of this island." He tells me.

If he made up his mind already, then no one could change it, so I eventually agreed with him, "I will leave in some hours, before night-time. I should be done exploring the surroundings tomorrow morning, as I also want to spend the night outside and see if I can find out anything more about our new home which is this island. So that's what I'll be doing today." He said, looking at me intently with a smile.

I think he wants to see if I'm against his idea of venturing alone in a delicate situation like this, but I can't fool anyone here, my king is more than capable of guaranteeing his safety while he tries to find whatever he wishes for. More than anyone else in this city.

"That's a great idea, my king. Please let me just tell some guards before you leave, in the few hours that you will remain here so that there won't be any confusion regarding the matter of your absence." I said, my voice calm and content. Something my king noticed.

"Of course, Siduri, you're welcome to do so!" He ended the conversation, before turning his gaze and attention back to the mountains in the distance.

With the confirmation I needed, I took his cue to leave and returned to my work, of course not before informing the royal guards of the conversation I had and giving some orders here and there to smooth the work I had today, after all, that is my job as the king's secretary, to ensure an easier life about things like these.

Finally, I turn my direction to the throne room, where I will deal with some matters related to the city and the lives of each of our citizens for my final work of this busy day.

...

"I'm hungry..." I said to myself, my voice sad but hopeful, imagining a table full of food waiting for me. That was before I remembered what Gilgamesh said about me eating too much, which made my expression fall even more.

"Idiot..."

|| Outer-Grounds Of Uruk / Narrator Pov ||

Some hours later...

'It's too hot.' - Thought a certain young blonde, although the most accurate way to address him would be to say 'reincarnation'.

Walking through the city of Uruk, wearing white clothes that scream 'luxury' and 'comfort' with red and gold details, is our protagonist, Angel. Slowly walking where it suits him with shallow steps.

'I can't feel discomfort in any climate known to man, so stop acting like you can fool.' A voice within the mind of our main character said.

'Hmph. That doesn't mean I cannot feel the heat. And by the way, why am I stuck with you, really?' The newly transmigrated, now named Gilgamesh asked his original. 'Huh? I am stuck with you, not the other way around! You are simply just a pain in my imaginary ass.' Roared an Ex-King Of Heroes inside his mind once again, expressing his disagreement and hopelessness in this peculiar situation. "Huh, as if I couldn't care less about your view on this," Angel answered to the outburst of the original king. 'You mongrel, you would dare speak to me in that kind of tone?'

As the original king spoke, stuck inside the mind of our protagonist, the latter just laughed at the situation. "Well, I am not the one stuck, am I?" He asked. The truth of the matter was, that in these few hours since his transmigration, and after reaching the understanding that the original King Of Heroes was stuck inside his mind, the two haven't stopped bickering with each other in the meantime. Although Gilgamesh would sometimes point out some mistakes in the newly transmigrated steps, to not arouse suspicion of their situations, where our protagonist would follow the advice of the screaming and "tossing" king. (inside his mind)

The common people who passed by him made their way, amazed by his presence in the outer parts of the kingdom/city, which was nothing too out of the ordinary but still amazing to see them.

Today, being now afternoon, the new Gilgamesh decided to leave the castle towards the adjacent forests of the kingdom to explore nature a little and leave the place where he needed to maintain his kingly facade. After being reincarnated and getting a little used to his current situation, with the help of the original, Angel ended up deciding to go "for a walk", in simpler terms.

And, after a little personal dialogue and bickering, 'they both' reached his destination. A giant gate that separates the city from the forests, made of wood, and iron and finished with some touches of magic, it was something quite resistant.

And so...

|| Gilgamesh(Angel) Pov / Outside Uruk's Walls ||

Walking calmly along the green and natural paths that the forest provides, I find myself in a certain type of peace that seems difficult to achieve anywhere else. Be it the light and melodious sound of the birds that fly alongside me, the sounds of the insects in the tree trunks that create a joint natural melody or even the water stream that runs through this land, beside me, the feeling of peace that nature brings me is surreal and inexplicable.

Looking from place to place, new sights, new smells and new colors assault my senses. The feeling that someone can achieve with a simple walk in nature is quite honestly incredible.

And be it some large and ferocious tigers, running deer, small and fluffy rabbits, astute foxes, various birds or even wild horses, everything is in natural and beautiful harmony around me. I can take a deep breath and relax my body and mind amid all the events that have taken place. While not quite relaxing my mind. 'This is stupid, and a waste of my time.' Someone retorted inside my mind. "Well, mister perfect, not everyone has lived all that you have. Some people honestly want to enjoy such things for the first time." I retorted back at the bored king with a witty fast response. Something that made the wise hero shake with hopelessness and rage about the situation.

'You insulen-...' He was about to start again when I stopped him midway. "Shh, I sense something near us!" I said out loud to him, I could just think about it and he would know it, but I preferred to actually "talk". If someone saw this scene, they would think I was mad, talking out loud to myself though.

The rustling of leaves was then heard, and I looked at the spot where a small bundle of white fur suddenly left his nest. In addition to the vibrant green and brown colors of the vegetation present, I watch as the now seen small baby rabbit emerges from the bushes bravely making its way towards me. With a big smile, I lower myself and slowly bring my hand to it.

"Hey... What are you doing here without your family, little one?" I say, lightly running my hand over the white fur of the little rabbit cub.

'Certainly not hunting a tiger.' - The bored king inside me commented, but I ignored him this time, curiously watching the baby rabbit approach me. With both hands, I carefully lift the little thing to my shoulders, leaving it hanging there, able to observe the surroundings from my high-eye perspective. "Comfortable?" I ask it. It responds in some kind of sound that I take as a positive answer.

"Hm, whatever, from now on you're coming with me, hahaha," I exclaim with certainty and amusement. Something the goldie inside of me didn't share. 'Tch...'

...

After a few hours, I finally reach the end of the forest, leaving a multicolored biome for a simpler biome, sand and water. I finally came across the ocean that surrounded me.(The Island)

A beach of yellowish sand, the color of the 'light' of the sun, stretches for several kilometers around me, contrasting on one side with the warm, green and brown of the forests and the cool blue and white of the ocean. Leaving observations aside, a light breeze passes by me, giving me a slight shiver if that's even possible. It seems like the afternoon is coming to an end. I muse, given the now cold weather. "Perhaps it's time to go back, isn't it..." I said out loud, with a slight sigh.

Heh, who am I kidding...

"I think we can leave it at that for today." I say with a growl from my stomach. Walking slowly towards a large tree full of fruit, I grab some branches and climb up a little, leaning against a thick branch and plucking two fruits from the tree itself.

"Take this, little guy, this fruit is for you." I said, placing the small fruit on my lap, next to the bunny. Which in turn made a small sound of happiness and began to eat. I did the same, content with my little achievement of the day, without knowing that today would be my last day of peace in this new world known as Marvel. That's right, earlier today, I had used Gilgamesh's powers to see where we were sent to, and with the original blondie's help, it wasn't something hard to achieve. He might not say it to me, but I know this situation, even if boring and strange to him, brings him some peace from working in the kingdom and some semblance of amusing fun. After all, the prospect of seeing a new universe full of different powerful and magical beings was something even the feared, but now locked king looked forward, because that's right, now that we both shared a mind, he could see my memories as well, thus he also knows what kind of universe we got sent into.

And so I feel it in my bones, change, war and fights are on their merry way, and they won't be for the weak of heart.

'Well, where is MY fruit?' A golden-haired prisoner asked, and got no answer back, much to his annoyance.

...

At the same time, throughout the universe, several small events are happening to the acclaimed "destiny". Changes in real-time, or the future, that will influence and become intricate in the story of our protagonist, that is.
