1 1: The Beginning after The End

The sound of thunder crackling through the night sky could be heard as the heavy rain and wind assaulted the whole city of New York.

Many pedestrians would be seen rushing about on the sidewalks, some wearing thick leather coats while others held umbrellas and walked towards their destination.

Stephan Adams was a tall young man with slightly long black hair, although he was born into a rather well-off family, his academic achievements were truly subpar, causing him to work a 9-5 right after high school.

It wasn't because Stephan was stupid, but rather because he truly had no reason for things such as riches and other things in life he was very comfortable with how his life was currently going.

Stephan stood under the small roof of a store building and pulled out his phone, with a hurried breathe he checked the messages which he had sent his girlfriend previously, he was confused at why she wasn't answering her phone.

"Maybe she is asleep," Stephan thought with a forced smile before opening another app.

"maybe I should watch a Marvel movie or some anime tonight, they did let me off earlier than usual today," he said in his heart, he would usually work till later, but due to the crazy weather conditions, he had been sent home earlier than usual.

Stephan moved his hands through his hair before pulling out his umbrella once again to continue his walk.

Since he was in New York and didn't make a lot of money, Anyone could guess that Stephan lived in the trenches of all places.

A place where robbery, murder, shootings, and many other life-threatening things could happen within an instant.

But since Stephan never went out of his way to look for trouble with the goons in his area, he was pretty much safe.

Even so, that didn't mean he would be someone's bitch if they came looking for trouble, he had a crazy side to himself that even he couldn't control sometimes If it came down to it.

it wasn't long before Stephan stood at the door of his apartment complex and started opening the door with his keys.

looking through the dark room which was barely lit by the windows in the living room, Stephan turned on the lights immediately and called out.

"Babe, I'm home, are you there?"

Seeing as he got no answer, Stephan started to assume that she was sleeping, he took off his coat and hung it on the rack before removing his shoes.

"Did she leave the kitchen so dirty?" as he entered the kitchen to grab some food for the night, Stephan couldn't help but shake his head at the dirty dishes and the randomly placed plates which were around the table.

Stephan decided to check up on her first before anything else, he calmly made his way toward their bedroom while undoing the buttons on his uniform shirt.

"what the fuck?" Stephan unconsciously exclaimed as he noticed a bunch of clothes thrown all over the floor as he opened the door.

His girlfriend which he had been with for almost a year was laying on their bed completely naked, what hit Stephan even harder was the fact that there was a man with a burly build sleeping next to her with his arms around her waist.

A tinge of red flashed past Stephan's eyes as he looked at the scene in front of him in shock, confusion, and anger, many emotions clouded his vision as he began to have thoughts that he would never usually have.

it was at this moment that Maria who was sleeping soundly slowly opened her eyes and looked at the situation around her, her eyes landed on Stephan for a second before her senses came back and she exclaimed in shock.

"Stephan, what are you doing here?" She said as she hurriedly tugged on the blanket, trying to cover herself up.

the commotion on the bed caused the young man beside her to wake up, and it didn't take long for him to realize what was happening.

"you're asking me what I am doing here?" Stephan ignored the man and looked at his girlfriend, the anger which coursed through his body was so much that he was even shaking.

"I- I thought you would be working till tomorrow morning" Maria stuttered and struggled to let out these words, she didn't bother to look at Stephan in his eyes.

"you are worried about the wrong thing here MARIA, after everything I've done for you? this is what you do to me?" Stephan was on the verge of breaking down as he saw this scene, he could only imagine all the nights when he had been away working night shifts, she had probably done this more than once.

"yo bro, calm down, can't you see I'm trying to sleep?" The bulky young man said with a look of disdain as he looked at Stephan, he didn't seem to put Stephan in his eyes at all.

Stephan started at the Young man With his bloodshot eyes, they both couldn't understand why although Stephan was extremely angry right now, his face was abnormally calm.

"What did you say to me?" Stephan said as he looked at the burly young man who was about to stand up.

"you didn't hear me? I said fuck off pussy" The young man said as he stood in front of Stephan, not even bothering to put on his clothes.

"oh really? stay right here then" Stephan said with a smile and calmly made his way out of the room.

The young man watched as Stephan walked out of the room and he sneered.

"What a bitch, he left after seeing me in bed with his girl, couldn't be me," he said before falling back onto the bed and wrapping his arms around Maria.

"let's go back to sleep honey," The young man said as he kissed Maria sweetly.

"No, No, Jackson you have to leave, if Stephan comes back he will really kill you" Maria pushed him away and said with a worried face, every time Stephan got this angry, someone would get injured, although he never took this anger out on her, it was still scary to her nonetheless.

"bullshit, do you think I'm scared of him?" Jackson said with rolled eyes, he didn't care about what Maria said at all.

it was at this moment that the door was slammed shut, and a tall figure could be seen standing at the door with a sharp knife in his hands.

"so, which one of you wants to die first," Stephan said with an abnormal smile, he didn't care about the consequences anymore, maybe he had too much love for this beautiful girl he had met in high school, but he knew one thing for sure, everyone in this room would die tonight.

"you-" Before Jackson could answer, Stephan had already rushed to his side and plunged the huge knife deep into his back.

Maria stared in horror as Stephan continuously stabbed Jackson with the knife over and over, staining the white sheets of the bed without crimson blood.

Maria screamed out manically as she watched this scene, she was so scared that she couldn't even move as she looked at the scene beside her.

"you know, Maria" Stephan's voice was heard after he finished stabbing Jackson and pushed his lifeless body aside.

"I loved you, I did everything for you, why, why did you do this? was I not enough?" Stephan said as a stream of tears fell down his face, he held the knife in front of him and watched as the blood streamed down the blade and landed on the bed.

"Ste- Stephan, I'm sorry... please, I won't do it again," Maria said as tears and snot fell down her traumatized face, she couldn't believe her eyes right now.

"Don't be sorry, it's ok" Stephan said with a smile as he slowly moved towards her.

he then raised the knife and continued his assault and continuously stabbed at her body all while Maria could only widen his eyes at his actions.

in a matter of minutes, the whole room was filled with the smell of blood, and the previously white bed was completely dyed in blood.

[Ding!]

after sitting up, Stephan continuously heard a ringing sound in his head, he didn't know what it was but it was annoying him.

[Ding! Congratulations Host, for the Vampire System has been bound, transporting the host to the Marvel world]

After Stephan heard these words, his eyes unconsciously landed on the dead body of his girlfriend before he disappeared from the face of the earth.
