19 Howard Stark

The colonel was immediately enthralled.

Carter shook her head helplessly. These two people, who were usually quite stable, took the wrong medicine today.

A new round of competition began and ended in an instant. The Colonel had just fired two shots when he heard a burst of gunfire that sounded like a submachine gun.

The colonel felt strange and turned his head to look, to find that Ray had put down his gun, while Carter, who was standing beside him, had her red lips slightly parted and her eyes widened.

"What's going on?" The colonel was a little confused, and couldn't understand the situation .

"So….f..ast!" Hearing the Colonel's question, Carter came back to her senses and stammered.

Regardless of the conversation between the two, Ray returned the gun to Carter and left.

"Hey! You kid, we're not done yet!" the colonel shouted angrily.

"The comparison is over, Colonel." Carter said to the Colonel looking at Ray's back.

"It's over?" the colonel asked in confusion, "This kid didn't shoot at all! Also, who fired the submachine gun just now?"

"There's no submachine gun, you see." Carter handed the gun in his hand to the colonel.

Colonel Phillips took the pistol suspiciously and pulled out the magazine. The magazine originally had seven bullets, but now there are only six remaining.

"He fired a shot?" the colonel asked suspiciously.

"And that." Carter pointed to where Ray stood just now.

The colonel turned to look and saw two magazines lying on the ground. The colonel picked it up and saw that both magazines had been emptied.

"Could it be..." The colonel had a terrible guess in his mind, "Just now he fired fifteen shots in such a short period of time and changed the magazine twice?"

"Do you think I would believe it?" the colonel said to Carter in disbelief.

"It's a fact, sir." Carter nodded solemnly.

Without looking at the results on the target, Carter saluted the colonel and turned away, leaving the colonel alone holding the magazine and doubting life.

Staring at the magazine for a while, the colonel suddenly remembered something, raised his head and walked towards Ray's target. Then reality hit him again, and the clear bullet marks on the bullseye told him that it was all true.

The second round of the test ended, the colonel was defeated again, even worse than before.

It was obviously the same gun, but Ray's rate of fire was faster than him, the accuracy was higher than him, and he even changed the magazine faster than him, and it was a lot faster, so fast it was unbelievable.

In fact, the result was not surprising, although the Colonel's marksmanship was good, he always needed to adjust the muzzle and re-aim before each shot. Ray's powerful strength enabled him better control.

Not to mention Ray's responsiveness and agility, so the colonel's failure was fated.

The Colonel secretly warned himself that no matter what he sees Ray doing next time, he won't compete with him ever again.

Even if he draws a sword and says that he is going to charge in the battlefield, he must believe that he can chop bullets with the sword and kill all the enemies.

A few days later,

Ray met Howard Stark in the laboratory.

This genius inventor was also an important member of the team. He is responsible for the machinery. All the equipment for super soldier strengthening, including the chamber cabins, etc. He designed it himself.

Howard was very curious about this new assistant of Dr. Erskine who suddenly appeared.

Dr. Erskine was very satisfied with him. A super genius, he can learn everything in one go, and he can draw inferences from one instance.

Howard, who claimed to be a genius, was unconvinced, so he compared himself with Ray.

So in the days to come, in addition to being able to learn about biology with Dr. Erskine, Howard always taunted Ray with some physical and mechanical problems.

He wanted to see if Ray was as talented as the doctor said.

Ray was very happy.

Facing the various problems brought by Howard at the beginning, Ray still needed a little time to study and research despite having read many advanced scientific concepts from the real world.

With the continuous enrichment of Ray's knowledge reserve, the speed of solving problems was getting faster.

Howard has to constantly increase the difficulty, and even take out some cutting-edge technologies that he is researching, but the results were still hopeless.

He had to admit that Ray was indeed a super genius who was even more bigger than himself.

Compared with the genius among ordinary people, Ray, who has super powers, is indeed a bit too much.

Although he failed to beat Ray in the field he was proud of, Howard refused to admit defeat and always looked for various opportunities to provoke Ray.

In the eyes of everyone, these two were rivals. They say that they have a good relationship but they quarrel all the time, and they don't like each other.

The colonel and the doctor also felt speechless seeing these two guys who were usually mature and stable competing.

...

"Hurry up! Run fast!"

The reserve soldiers were doing long-distance training again, and Steve ran in the last position without any accident. After all, his physical fitness was still a bit poor, but he still kept up and did not fall behind.

"Stand still!"

Halfway through the run, he saw that Agent Carter was sitting in a jeep waiting for them not far ahead. The instructor ordered the team to stop and pointed to the flagpole erected by the roadside and shouted to the team members.

"This flag means you've only run halfway!"

"The first person to take down the flag can drive back to the camp with Agent Carter!"

"Go!"

When the soldiers heard the words, they rushed up first, but the flagpole was too thin and slippery.

"Do you have the patience for this?"

"This unit is over!"

"Come on, climb up!"

The instructor was talking sarcastic words next to them, watching themwith great interest.

"For 17 years, no one has been able to get that flag."

"Okay, back to the team! Hurry back and line up!" After seeing enough funny situations, the instructor was ready to continue training.

Everyone reluctantly gave up, and returned to the roadside in a dejected line. At this time, Steve, who had just been relieved, walked up.

"Rogers, I said go back in the line!" The instructor sternly scolded when Steve walked to the flagpole without obeying the order.

Steve ignored the instructor's roar, looked up at the flagpole, and then bent down and pulled out the fixing pin at the bottom of the flagpole, and the flagpole began to tilt.

"Bang!"

Under the stupefied gaze of everyone, the flagpole fell to the ground.

Steve took two steps forward and easily got the flag. Agent Carter looked at Steve with an admiring smile on his face.

Steve walked past the soldiers who looked at him dumbly.

"Thanks, sir." Throwing the flag to the dazed instructor, Steve got into the back seat of the jeep by himself.

When Agent Carter saw this, she couldn't help but laugh. After he got into the car, Carter turned his head and nodded to Steve who was sitting behind him.

The jeep drove the two away, leaving a group of stunned soldiers standing in the wind.

The instructor looked at Steve's back in the car as he left gracefully, and then lowered his head to look at the flag he was holding...

Steve came to the spotlight again, showing his smart side, and he also won the favor of Agent Carter.
