77 Chapter 77-Twins Attack
AHHHHHHH" Tony's scream was heard throughout the room.
"TONY!!!" Rhodes yell snapped everybody back to reality
The first one to move was Lady Sif who was quietly standing beside Thor's Bed. If not for her bad positioning she might have been able to intercept the attacker
"It's the Twins from Sokovia !" Rogers yells out from his bed, instantly recognizing them
"How the hell did they get inside!!" Rhodes yells as he goes for his gun
By the time he pulled his gun out Lady Sif was already in front of them
"HAAA" Wanda yells out as red energy gathers around Sif and throws her back at the Avengers... Well, only Rhodes can technically be counted as an Avenger.
"Let's go I finished the job" Says Pietro while holding a bloody dagger, and if you look close enough there is a black liquid mixing with the blood
"You are not going anywhere!!" Rhodes shoots at them not that he has a clear shot
Pietro grabs Wanda and scoffs "Yeah right"
Just as the bullets were about to hit them he turns into a blur and jumps out the window of the Tower.
"What are they doing!?" Lady Sif stops herself from following them, even for her an Asgardian landing from this height will break her bones.
Pietro looks at Wanda while they are free falling
"Any second now Sis" he says nervously
"Shut up!" she glares at him, before returning to compressing the red energy inside her palms
"3" She yells out, and Pietro gets ready, and puts on his new goggles
"2" She aims her palms at the ground, the red energy flaring dangerously

And just a few meters off the ground she fires the energy downward. making a huge blast.
The blast traveled upwards canceling out their fall, but just before they get hit by it. Pietro goes into Overdrive and quickly uses the debris to run on getting both of them out of there before the explosion hit them.
They make a clean getaway right under the noses of the most powerful people in the City.

"How the Hell Could This HAPPEN" Rohdes yells out while putting pressure on Tony's bleeding Thigh
"Why didn't the alarms go off" Capitan says still laying on the bed
"I have no idea, but can you keep the yelling down! I already have a hole in my thigh and you aren't helping!" He yells out with a face full of pain
"OH MY GOD TONY!!!" Pepper rushes in garbing Tony's hand
"I'm fine, it's just a flesh wound" Stark says with a painful smirk
"This is no time to be joking Tony!" Peper screams in panic
"I'm fine, look the doc is already here to fix me up" Tony looks at the door
Helena rushes back in the medbay takes a look at the situation and says "I just can't get a break can I."
"Get over here DOC" Rhodes just yells out
She goes to check Tony's bleeding thigh
"What's with the black stuff? Poison?" she questions entirely focused on his wound
"Yea we think so.." the Cap says, still looking like a truck had hit him
Everybody nervously watches as she cleans his wound, well everybody except Tony who was getting delirious
"Guys I'm fine, the wound doesn't even hurt anymore" He says happily
"This is very bad.. It's a new type of poison, one that makes it so the victim dies painlessly. The poison has already spread throughout his system." Helena says nervously
"I'm telling you I feel fine" Stark tries something, and Helena just grabs a syringe and injects it into Stark
"What was that?" Rhodes asks
"A strong knock-out drug. We don't need him to awake, the more he moves and talks the faster the poison will spread" Helena replies without even looking at him, going right back at cleaning the wound.
"Helena will he be OK?" Pepper asks her feeling desperate for a good
"Honestly.. No. I'm doing the best I can, he will be alive, that I can promise you, but I don't know if he is ever waking up, or in what state he will be once he wakes up. I'm sorry" She says sadly
Pepper breaks down in tears
"Wait Tony said the wizard gave him a phone to send him the footage of the fight, we can call him for help" Rhodes jumps up, finding light in this desperate situation. Instantly elevating everybody mood
But a second later they realized who they are about to beg for help, and how the last time went when they asked for his help.
"So.. who is going to call the wizard, who kicked our asses?"
"Give it to me I'll call him" Pepper holds her hand out
The rest look at each other, not wanting to give the very stressed and emotional woman the chance to talk to the guy who can kill them with a thought
"Fine I'll do it" Rhodes grabs the phone and starts dialing the number
"What do you want Stark?" he didn't even try to hide the laziness in his voice, getting him to help would be even harder
"Hey... Umm. Ward. We need you to get here fast. Things got really bad"

"Huff huff huff" Pietro was on one knee clutching his chest in pain. Going that fast had serious consequences on his body
"Are you OK?" Wanda says as she rubs his back
"Yea, I'm fine. I just can't feel anything in my chest or legs. Arms are working though" Pietro tries to act tough but his act is failing him.
His face is pale, and his whole body is shaking
Wanda just hugs him from behind "We did it, even if that poison doesn't kill him, he will never be able to move again, it's either death or him being a prisoner in his own body. We did it Pietro, we avenged our family"
The shaking slows down, and he turns his head to look at his sister " Yeah I guess we did... So what now?"
"Well since we are in America. I guess we can now finally get a fresh start." she gently rubs his head
"The American Dream Huh?" he shows her a big smile
"Yep~" Wanda smiles just as wide
Pietro stands up and holds his hand out
"Let's go!" he yells out totally free-spirited, like the burden that he has been carrying has magically disappear
Wanda just holds his hand as both of them start walking towards a better life.

Sr for the late update. This week has been Hell. There was so much work, that as soon as I come home I just fall asleep. I hurt my arm yesterday. A box weighing about 10kg fell on my biceps. There is a small purple bruise. It's honestly Meh. Doesn't hurt much. But still ruined my day
