Arthur woke up from his slumber only to find himself in an unfamiliar room. He blinked his eyes in confusion and sat up on the bed. Suddenly, he felt a sting in his brain and countless images rushed into his mind.
After some time, the pain stopped and a new set of memories appeared in his mind. He realised that they were the memories of this body's previous owner. He quickly glanced through the memories and was shocked to found out that he have reincarnated in another world.
And this world happens to have many future Marvel Heroes. Of course, how did he came to know? Well, there was Tony Stark, who have already become Iron Man. Then there were Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, Felicia Hardy, Jessica Jones, who all happened to be studying at the same high school along with Arthur, that was Midtown High School.
It was currently the year 2012, the year in which the Chitauri Invasion took place. That means that the events from Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Incredible Hulk and Thor movies have already been completed.
Arthur was currently 14 which should not be possible as Peter Parker gained his powers in the year 2016 when he would be around 15 to 16 years of age. So he was confused by this messed up timeline of Spider-Man. But he could only hope that the rest of the plots follows the timeline according to year and not age, that was, Peter Parker would receive his powers in the year 2016.
But of course, that wouldn't happen as Arthur had already decided to steal his opportunity. Though he feel bad for Peter but he had no other option than do this in the near future. After all, the marvel universe was quite dangerous.
Suddenly, a voice broke his train of thoughts.
[Host has been detected.]

"Holy Mother of Th..!" Arthur cried out in surprise as well as shock. But when he realised what it was exactly, his heart got filled with joy.
Arthur immediately called out the system. "Hey system, can you hear me?"
Silence was what he got.
It appeared that the system he got didn't have any sentience. Well, it was good in a sense. He didn't dwell on it any further and decided to login.
"Okay system, let's login for today."
[Login successful.]

[Description- The card will provide the host will all the powers and abilities of Shadow Monarch. All the powers and abilities have been maxed out and cannot be improved further. All the restrictions have been removed as well.]
[Note- The host is advised to sleep for a minimum of 6 hours for the fusion process to be smooth and painless.]
"Holy sh*t!" This time Arthur was no longer able to hold back from cursing. Because the reward was literally insane. After all, the Shadow Monarch, simply with his individual power, was even more powerful than the combined strength of Thor and Hulk. Not just that, the Shadow Monarch was also immune to all types of poisons and negative status effects. Arthur would have never imagined to get such an OP item right from the bat.
Now that he think about it, he would no longer have to take Peter Parker's opportunity. In a sense, it was good as now there would be no probability of him having to face the consequences of stealing the protagonist's opportunity.
In his previous life, Arthur have read many novels about how the villain would have suffer from backlash from the heavens for stealing the protagonist's opportunity. And harming the protagonist would lead to an even more dangerous backlash.
Arthur checked the time and found that it was 9 p.m. So, he went to bed and used the Shadow Monarch Card. Just after his consciousness drifted away, unbelievable changes took place in his body.

{Next Day}
Arthur woke up from a beautiful dream. In his dream, he was enjoying his life in riches and beauties. Anyway, as soon as Arthur woke up, he immediately felt all the changes that took place in his body. He jumped from the bed and the first thing he noticed was that his height has increased slightly.
He was already a tall boy for his age but even than his height has increased. Arthur also had a hunch that it will increase even further as he was still just fourteen. He waked towards the mirror placed in the bathroom was surprised at the face he saw.
Although he already knew that his appearance was quite similar to his previous life, but the one in the mirror was definitely more handsome. From the memories, he knew that he was not this handsome, so he could only attribute all the changes to the Shadow Monarch Card.
His skin was perfect without any defect, his eyes more captivating with a light brown hue. His short messy black hair paired perfectly with his face making him more handsome. For a moment, Arthur even had an itch of becoming an actor but he knew that there was not much future for entertainment industries in this world.
Another major change was that his body was now more muscular but more on the leaner side. He was not at all bulky. Also his height has increased to somewhere around five-ten which was quite tall for someone his age.
Arthur also knew that his other physical attributes like strength, speed and durability must have increased as well. He checked the time and found that it was still 5 a.m. in the morning. The school would start at 9 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. so he still has around three hours of spare time.
His mother would usually arrive at 8 a.m. to wake him up. So he still has time to check his powers. Arthur decided to find an abandoned factory or building away from the city where he could test his abilities. For this job, Arthur already has the best ability, the Shadows.
Immediately, Arthur checked his Shadow Space only to get dumbfounded. Because there was not a single shadow in his Shadow Space.
'Oh god! Where the hell am I supposed to get my shadows!' Arthur got frustrated at the thought of finding powerful dead bodies so that he could extract the shadows. Now, that actually wasn't the main frustrating thing. But the main frustrating thing was that this world did not have dungeons, so Arthur would have a hard time finding dead bodies.
Though he could use human dead bodies, but they were simply to weak to be of any use. The other option was to find and kill corrupted mutants, but they were too rare. And from what Arthur knew about this world, there didn't seem to be any cases of mutants appearing. So it would be even more troublesome to find powerful beings.
Now his only hope was that the system would provide him with shadows or dead bodies through daily login rewards. Though the formal was likely to be the more probable, Arthur would be happy with either.
Arthur prepared to leave the house so he searched for an abandoned factory or building and found one in the outskirts of New York City. So without wasting any time, Arthur left his house but after keeping his phone in his room. After all, someone could track him through his mobile, although the possibility of someone tracking his phone was almost nil, Arthur didn't want to take any chances.
After putting his phone aside, Arthur used one of his many skills, Absolute Invisibility. This skill could make Arthur invisible to every type of detections. Most of the invisibility skills could be easily broken by detecting heat signatures. But Absolute Invisibility would make Arthur non-existent. In other words, Arthur would not only be invisible to all type of detections but he would also become soundless.
The only downside of this skill was that he was still physically touchable. So he could still be caught if someone were to physically touch him. But against all the advantages, this single disadvantage was completely negligible.
After using the skill, Arthur jumped through the window and started heading towards the abandoned building that he choose. With just a glance, he had already memorized the location and directions of the abandoned building. Using the Shadow Monarch Card not only increased his physical attributes but it also increased his intelligence to a terrifying degree.
The distance between Arthur's home and the abandoned building was around five miles, but Arthur arrived in only a few minutes considering that he was not using his full speed.
Arriving at the abandoned factory, Arthur immediately started testing his abilities. He first started with his physical abilities and then his skills.
