23 Chapter 23 | Expressing Dominance

Howard's face was becoming terrified, he never expected his plan to fail. The tables are slowly melting, while the kitchen's temperature is rapidly heating up.

Lex smiles sadistically and walks slowly towards Howard's side of the table. Howard is scared out of his mind, looking for any solution out of this situation.

Lex put his hand on Howard's shoulder with a little force. Howard's face cringes a little. Lex began to speak. "You know Howard trying to installed spy-ware to record our conversations is a big no no."

Lex knew this meeting was suspicious, the moment Howard asked for a meeting. Lex used his X-Ray Vision to scout the mansion out before ever walking inside.

Lex had Howard in checkmate long before this charade even happened. With Peggy out of the picture, no one is there to stop Lex from doing what he is about to do.

"Arrgh!" Howard screams with all his might, scaring Jarvis. Jarvis came back into the kitchen area only to see something that will permanently scar him forever.

Lex turns around and sees Jarvis there frozen in shock. Lex shoots an Omega Beam from his eyes straight towards one of Jarvis's legs permanently crippling him.

"Jarvis!" Screams Howard. Lex walks slowly to Jarvis with his hands behind his back. He grabs Jarvis by the throat and looks at Howard with a cold look on his face. "Howard, tell me something? What does the SSR have on me to start investigating me and personal endeavors?"

Muttered Lex, he looks over at Howard. Howard is nervous and sweating bullets. He never thought this would've happened, but it looks like his intelligent mind couldn't foresee this.

Seeing him silent, Lex frowns and was about to summon another Omega Beam in Jarvis eyes this, but before he could Stark muttered. "It's Peggy! She was suspicious of your origins and ordered an investigation against you. I'm sorry! I swear that's all I know."

Lex begun to analyze what Howard said and went over it. Questions starts to appear in his mind. Why are the SSR is so interested in me? What kind of information they have on me? Etc Etc.

Lex lets go of Jarvis and walks around the table towards his seat. He slowly raises his hand and immediately Howard appears in it. Shocking him.

He looks at Lex and says. "You are one of those mutants that are going around killing people. Are you from one of those secret societies? Like Hellfire Club!"

Lex arcs and eyebrow. Lex is surprised that SSR has information on the Hellfire Club with Sebastian Shaw. He smiles and says. "No, I'm not a mutant. I'm much more superior than that. And no I'm not apart of no secret society. Now, I need to make a deal, and you're my introduction in."

Howard was confused, he senses Lex's silence and awaits his next words. Lex pauses and began to speak again. "As in which, you'll introduce me to the higher-government of power. I want to support America in any way I can. Even if I have to be apart of the battlefield myself. I will just so my beloved country can win."

Lex says with a resolute tone in his voice. Meanwhile, Howard starts to analyze Lex's game plan and his angle. Howard mutters. "Why do you want an introduction. In my personal opinion, Peggy wouldn't allow it. She would do everything in her power to stop you. Even if it means leaking your information to the press. You would be damn sure not join when I tell them what you've done."

Immediately the house went hot again, Lex's eyes glows bright red scaring Howard. Howard falls out his chair and tries to get, but Lex was a step faster and grabs Howard by the throat. He squeezes his neck suffocating his windpipe.

Lex stares in Howard's eyes like a demon and says. "Say that again! You'll what? If I were you, I would oblige with my commands. Or that little butler of yours will disintegrate until every last atom leaves his body."

Spoke Lex in an emotionless tone making sure each and every word sunk deep into Howard's soul. Lex wants to send this message to Howard, so if anyone wants to cross him, he'll send a clear message.

A terrified Howard finally relents and says. "Fine, I will introduce you to the man upstairs. If you get caught. I promise, I won't be there to save you from damnation. Come by tomorrow and we will drive to one of our base of operations. Once were there, I will tell you our next step."

Lex smiled and says. "Good, I knew you would agree, but don't try to play any tricks in this very delicate situation. Remember, Jarvis's life is in my hands. If I hear rumors about what has happened here, I will personally destroy and everyone you love, very painfully."
