5 Chapter 005 | Captain America’s Dark Path

Hospital

A small-sized boy is laying on the white hospital bed, he has a huge bruise on his head and a black eye.

He has a white cloth wrapped around his head to protect his injuries from going from bad to worse.

He is currently right now though is, just staring at the ceiling with a blank look on his face, Steve right now is going over his naive ways.

"I've been so naive"

Said Steve, he thought that this world is a great place for everyone even the bad guys, but now his World View has collapsed.

Which caused a sense of dread to appear in him, anger, hurt, sadness were all mixed into one to create something worse.

"This world is a bad place and needs to be clenched"

Said Rodgers, he finally realized that what Lex said is true, but his naive and stubborn ways clouded his judgement.

"Mr, Luthor was right"

Sigh…

"I was too naive and too idealistic in my ways that, I always believe in the good of the world and ignore the darkness of the world."

Knock! Knock!

"Rodgers heard a knock on the door and was irritated, he was already beaten up, now someone is bothering him.

"Go away"

"It's Lex Luthor"

After hearing those two words, Rodger's expression immediately turned a little better, he said…

"Come in"

Lex turned the knob and and walked in with a sad expression on his face, this is really a façade to get the future Captain America on his side.

"Are you alright?"

Said Lex he is trying soft understanding as his manipulative weapon, because Rodgers right now needs it.

"Yea, I'm alright, I got beaten up, I should've listened to you, I'm sorry, Mr. Luthor."

Said Rodgers as a sad expression appeared on his face, he really spoke what he thought and listened to Lex.

Taking this chance…

"No need, Rodgers, do you want to get stronger and never, ever let anyone bully you or beat you anymore."

With a strange look on his face, Steve got a bit curious and a little suspicious of this question, but chose to put it in the back of his head.

"Yea, do you a solution?"

Lex smiled a little and sat down on a plastic chair, he looked Rodgers right in the eye and said…

"Yes, I have a solution, go to the Stark Expo tomorrow night with your friend Bucky, speaking of Bucky, he doesn't like you because, he isn't here, right?"

A down expression appeared on his face, Steve because of his loneliness, he never thought about Bucky being here.

"What do you mean, Bucky is in the Army right now, he is coming back tonight."

Said Steve, he can't wait to meet his best friend Bucky, he had long wanted to see Bucky again, but seeing Bucky not here caused a strange emotion to appear in his heart.

"I can make you better than Bucky ever was, right now, he is having a good time in the Army, hanging out with new friends, while you're sitting here suffering with a crippled body."

Every word Lex said was like a knife stabbing his heart, the already miserable Rodgers is having a mental breakdown.

Lex seeing this decided to add more salt onto the wound…

"Your grandfather manipulated you, he saw you as weak petulant child, who'll never make it far in life, but you can be greater than him."

A strong sense of determination rose in Steve's heart causing his heart to change, right now, he regards Lex has a spiritual leader.

"The first mission in order to get stronger is to cut all tides with your best friend, Bucky Barnes with him out of the way, you'll have no distractions to your mission."

Said Lex with his true colors showing, now with Steve's will and mentality broken, this is chance to really turn the pure hearted Captain America corrupt.

"Now, I'll leave you to your endeavors remember Steve, no one can stop you, including Bucky."

After those intimidating words, Lex exits Steve's room with a smile sadistic and sickling smile at that, Lex true nature has been shown.

Thud…

After Lex left, Steve with a murderous look in his eyes is waiting for Bucky to come so he can give him a piece of his mind.

"Mr. Lex is right, the new and improve Steve Rodgers is coming and no one will stop me, not even Bucky."

Haha…

With a dark and sadistic chuckle, Steve leaned back in his bed with his eyes closed waiting for his enemy, Bucky.

Hours later

Knock! Knock!

"Come in"

A short brown-haired young man with a bit of charm and charismatic to him has just walked into the room, with a sorrowful smile on his face.

"Hey buddy"

"Hello, Bucky"

Said Steve with a dark smile on his face.

"Where were you, and why did you leave me, said Steve?"
