Chapter 7: Start of the Final Battle

An hour before the battle

"Where is he? He said was going to get reinforcements hours ago" asked Hera to Gaea who was looking off into the distance.

"I am here" Said Echo from behind her.

Startled Hera turned around to see Echo with two men she hadn't seen before but she new they were strong, stronger than her and her sibling together.

Because Hypnos and Thanatos are still young in comparison to the other primoridals, they have not learnt to contain their aura properly yet or just never bother to. The primordial siblings usually walk around not showing their power keeping it restrained, if they didn't it would affect the whole world and further, killing a lot of beings.

"this is Hypnos and Thanatos, the sons of Nyx and Erebus, they will take on 5 of the titans while the other 6 will be dealt with by you" Echo said while pointing to the rest of the Olympians.

The Olympians nodded and didn't reject the massive help that Echo brought, although Poseidon and Zeus didn't look happy as there was even more people out there that were stronger than them.

While they were being introduced by Echo, Hypnos and Thanatos were looking around at the Olympians, 'they are weak' they both thought.

While looking at the Olympians, Thanatos spotted hades and felt a connection towards him, not in a romantic way, but they way in which you have been searching for a missing piece of a puzzle only to find it randomly one day.

Thanatos looked at Echo who noticed and nodded to him.

Thanatos walked towards Hades and said "You shall be the king of the underworld"

Everyone except the primordials were shocked when they heard Thanatos say this, while some of the power hungry ones let out a sigh of relief in the minds as Hades was no longer going to threaten their thrown. After Hades got a bit of training from Echo his power jumped ahead of the others, not by much but there was still the gap between them.

"What do you mean?" said Hades nervously

"Your divinity, it resonates with the underworld. After the battle is over, head to the underworld to take your rightful place as the king of the underworld" Thanatos explained.

Rhea and Hestia were happy for Hades as he would be a king, Demeter didn't really care but still congratulated him, while Hera, Zeus and Poseidon showed nothing on their faces but were fuming on the inside, they couldn't believe that Hades of all people was King of the underworld. They themselves didn't want to rule the underworld but the also didn't want Hades to get more power.

Zeus not liking that Hades was crowned King before him let his jealousy take over as said "Wouldn't he be a chthonic deity then?" with a sneer on his face and Poseidon nodded a little by his side.

"And?" ask Thanatos in an emotionless voice

"Well they are beneath us" said Zeus in a haughty tone.

Everyone went silent until a pressure from Thanatos erupted. As they were all weaker than Thanatos by a decent margin they were all showed scenes of their deaths thousands of time in a second.

When the pressure was released everyone dropped to their knees (except the primordals as they weren't affected).

Soon a voice as cold a death (literally) spoke "if chthonic deities are beneath you what do that make me" said Thanatos while shifting to his divine form. It looked like an extremely malnourished being with 3 pairs of wings and extremely black eyes that look like the abyss ( he inherited Erebus' eyes)

As everyone was shivering in fear a warm voice spread throughout the room "As much as I would love for this to continue, our enemies are here" Gaea spoke while looking out the window.

Hearing this everyone started to prepare for battle, the good news was that because of Thanatos and his aura that covered the whole mountain, the strong minded soldiers developed a small resistance to fear because they watch there deaths over and over thousands of times, while the weaker ones were affect badly but they were bound to die anyway.

Looking at the army in the distance slowly marching towards them lead by the 11 titans.

Feeling the power radiating of the titans in the distance the Olympians had a grim look on their faces.

"What's with the gloom looks" Ask Echo with a cherry tone and sadistic smile.

"we have fought before but this time they seem stronger" replied Hestia

"Well of course they seem stronger, I gave them a little power up when I went to collect reinforcements for you" said with a smile.

"WHAT!!!!" shouted Hestia with a betrayed look on her face.

Echo saw that look and couldn't help but think how much he hated the look on her face, but didn't understand why he felt that way.

"well its because I need to test my nephews and I cant see their true strength is they are fighting weaklings"

"Why would you do that" question Hera looking angry

"I just told you why" said Echo with the same Sadistic look on his face

"I think she meant why didn't you just power up some of them, why did you power up all of them? Or better yet weaken Lord Thanatos and Lord Hypnos" asked Hades

"one, because I also want to see your limits and two because I am also going to weaken my nephews" said Echo

"WHAT!!" this time it was Hypnos who sounded Angry/Betrayed

"Well I need to see you limits" he said to Hypnos while turning to the Olympians "and you guys have a way to power yourselves up anyway so what is the matter?"

"We don't have a way to power ourselves up though" said Demeter

"Of course you do" he said while point to Hestia

Hestia saw him point at her and asked confused "Me?"

"Yes you, Your divinities are Hearth and Family" He said in a tone that made it sound obvious.

"And? It my weakest divinity and It can't use if for combat, all it does is show where my family members are"

"Your kidding me" Said Echo looking at them like they were idiots

"The family divinity is arguably one of the strongest divinities out there, the stronger your family is the stronger you are, you can give a power boost to anyone that you consider family and you can borrow/copy the powers that your family members have, and that's just the beginning, when you develop it further, you can share different powers and knowledge with different members of your family." After Echo explained Hestia power to her properly everyone was shocked. They never expected someone they always thought was the weakest Goddess of their family was that strong.

"I am that strong" Said Hestia, still not believing what is happening

"Chaos above, its like explaining particle physics to a particle, what were you doing since you since you found what your divinities were?" said Echo sounding a bit tired

"Nothing, I thought that I could only develop my hearth divinity, and that itself has a very weak attacking ability, only allowing me to teleport to different hearths and giving me a flame attack."

Echo held his head wondering if he should just let these stupid Olympians get killed by their father.

"Wait if she has the powers to borrow and copy powers form family members that should include our fathers right" Demeter said aloud shocking them once more.

"she could but she wont be able to borrow much let alone copy as she hasn't developed her divinity enough. Right now she would only be able to give you a boost in powers will she herself gets a boost". Echo explained

They eventually accepted the truth and started wondering if they could develop their powers more, while some where swearing to themselves to visit Echo after the battle to get him to help them.

They Olympians plus Hypnos and Thanatos (who have been weakened by Echo, who revealed an embarrassing secret about the two earlier) were facing the titans at the centre of the battle field.

"You wont win" mocked Kronos "We have been blessed by a being of great power, beyond the likes of you could ever imagine"

"you mean him" said Demeter while pointing towards Echo who was sitting atop the mountain in the distance with Gaea having a picnic.

Kronos looked where Demeter was pointing seeing Echo sitting there eating with his mother he couldn't help but feel angry, betrayed and afraid. He now knew why he couldn't see the future, his mother had been blocking his powers and realized that he wouldn't be able to win this war.

Realizing this he let his anger take over and shouted "SO WHAT!!" releasing his aura and making the soldiers on both sides falter, except for the strong minded ones who developed a resistance to fear.

Hestia took this as her sign to move and boost her family while also releasing the warm aura of the hearth relaxing and comforting the soldiers on her side.

Feeling the power boost the Olympians couldn't help but show surprise on their faces, they thought they would get a power boost of 5-10% as Hestia hasn't develop her divinity very much, but they actually got a power boost of 30-35%. While Hestia herself got a power boost of 50-60%.

Feeling the power radiating off of Hestia Echo smiled, which wasn't unnoticed by Gaea. "You like her don't you?"

"what?"

"You like Hestia don't you?"

"I don't know"

"well you have time, plus you didn't make much of a first impression, you know dismembering her brother and all. I would recommend teaching her how to use her divinities better, it will give you a chance to grow closer."

"I don't know, I mean what if she says no?"

"What's this? Is my sadistic little brother actually nervous about something for once. I need to tell Nyx she will eat this up" Gaea said mimicking Echos usual smile

"no!! don't you dare tell Nyx of all people" Said Echo with a rare show of fear on his face.

"okay, ill keep it a secret" said Gaea with her smile getting wider

*sigh* Echo knew this wasn't going to turn out well. Since he was young he always held his siblings secrets above their head and was never on the losing side of an argument, but sometimes his siblings figure out his secrets and use it against him to win and he hated that feeling.

As they were messing around the battles below finally began.
