4 Chapter 4: Returning to Earth

After Echo left to build his realm the titans started to grow greedy for power and decided to take down their father Uranus, this was led by Kronos the Titan of time and Harvest, after defeating Uranus and successfully pissing of Gaea. Kronos started to consolidate his power over the other living being in which will soon be known as Greece.

Kronos took place as king of the titans and married his sister Rhea. There were 10 other titans that he ruled over, Oceanus and Tethys, Hyperion and Theia, Coeus and Phoebe, Mnemosyne and Themis, Crius and Lapetus, and all married and had children of their own.

After defeating his father Kronos was cursed by him to be usurped from his throne by his own children like he did. Kronos would go on to forget that detail and that would continue on for another 450 years until Rhea got pregnant with his first born, Hades. Driven mad by the prophecy Kronos decided to eat his first born child along with the remaining four , Hestia, Demeter, Hera, and Poseidon, until Rhea had enough and tricked him into swallowing a stone that she charmed with the help of Gaea, to look like Zeus he last child, while hiding him away to train under Gaea.

After 33 years Zeus returns to free his siblings by tricking Kronos into drinking so much he vomited, as he did his siblings came out in reverse order. After hades was finally free they retreated to mount Olympus. After Training for another 17 years with his siblings Zeus decides to start the Titanomachy war by freeing the cyclops and Hecatoncheires.

Just after Zeus started the Titanomachy Echo, just finished building his realms layout, there is now a massive Library the size of Canada, it was made of pristine looking white marble with Greek features and plants growing up the side. Inside was expanded to the size of multiple universes.

There were shelves upon shelves as far as the eyes can see, the shelves were as tall at the surface of earth to the moon, each with a ladder going to the top.

The library was mostly empty as it had had only been around for a couple of years but at least one book shelf was full and it held the secrets of every being in the universe. Echo had used his power to set up an automatic secret collection array, it collects every secret in the universe and transform them into books to be place in the bookshelf.

{This is going to cause problems down the line when powerful beings find out that he collects their secrets but he doesn't know that right now.}

Surrounding the library is an elegant and peacefully garden (its neither of those things in reality) that would make the Garden of Eden look like a roadside shrub. This garden fills up the rest of the realm (which is as big as the universe) and is continuously covered in night being shone upon by stars. Each being that looks at the garden will see something different as the garden is a lie, it is a trap for intruders. It traps them in the lies they have told throughout their lives continuously torturing them with the consequences of the lies. Only the purely truthful can pass through the gardens and into the library. The lies are part illusion and part reality so intruders wont be able to escape and be lost wondering the gardens until their deaths.

As an award for the purely truthful near the entrance of the library there is an apple tree, the apples that grow on the tree grants the ability to see through lies to anyone who eats the apple along with a boost in life span (100 years).

Now all Echo has to do is wait while injecting more power into his realm to stabilize it, he also has to create gardeners and librarians to maintain and guard his realm.

Now he was done he left his realm, he was really missing his family, he might not show it often but he does love his family a lot. Upon exiting his realm he goes to meet Nyx, Erebus and Tartarus. (Nyx and Erebus' realm/house is located inside Tartarus)

Travelling to the underworld he walks upon the mortals in his 'secret form' and he found himself having fun. Tricking people into telling him their secrets was an amazing feeling, he would have to do this more often. During his travels he came across many races and cultures, each one had secrets to be uncovered and often leading him on a tangent. After a couple of months he reached the underworld and he goes to find Tartarus to catch up.

After searching for a couple of weeks he finally found him, it was surprisingly hard to find a gigantic pit in the underworld as there were so many souls wandering about (Hades hasn't taken up his throne yet so the souls are not managed yet).

Finding Tartarus sleeping like usual as smile for on Echo's face as he decides to pull a prank on him, he switches to his 'lie form' and says aloud "Tartarus doesn't hear the screams of a rooster when he is asleep". As soon as he said that Tartarus wakes up covering his ears and stares at Echo, who was rolling on the floor laughing, "What in the name of Mother did you do to me!!!!!" his shouts could be heard across the underworld followed by a sadistic laugh.

As Tartarus was attempting to beat Echo to a pulp, Nyx and Erebus show up, as Tartarus' scream worried them, only to see a laughing Echo run away from a murderous Tartarus.

"What did you do this time?" said Nyx in an exacerbated tone.

"Nothing" shouted Echo back, still running away and dodging the incoming weapon shaped acidic mist.

After what felt like days of running away they calmed down and went to Nyx and Erebus' house to have dinner.

"so what have you been up to the last 500 years?" ask Erebus while eating a steak

" nothing much just finishing building my realm, what about you guys? Any new nephew or nieces for me to play with?" replied Echo

"unfortunately not, after raising Hypnos and Thanatos we decided to wait until the future and decide if we want anymore" replied Nyx

"what about you Tartarus?" ask Echo

"No." replied Tartarus still a bit angry at him for waking him up.

"He has been sleeping most of the time only getting woken up by the titans messing around above ground and people sealing other people inside him" replied Erebus.

"who?" replied Echo, he has been a bit out of touch since he was building his realm and doesn't know about the titans yet ( he also hasn't actually gone through the secrets he has been collecting as he didn't think it would interest him).

"The titans are Gaea's children, they killed Uranus and stole his place as king, which I didn't even know he was, and they apparently now rule the cosmos." Replied Nyx with a hint of sarcasm.

"I would've been a much better king" Erebus mumbled under his breath but everyone still heard him.

"are they idiots?" ask Echo generally surprised someone had the balls to say that when they are literally right next to them, let alone mother, the celestials, Yahweh ect. (Odin isn't born yet Bor has just taken up the throne) let alone piss of Gaea by killing her partner/son.

"yes." Another curt reply from Tartarus

"Now they are fighting their children, who call themselves the Olympians, and who wants to usurp the throne from their father like a game of twisted fate" Said Nyx

"Wow I missed a lot, that also explain the number of souls lingering around in the underworld" said Echo

"Tell me about it, they are everywhere" replied Erebus who is sick of all the souls, as they produce ectoplasm everywhere that is a pain to clean up when you step in it.

"Anyway I want to go see Gaea after all she must be really sad that her partners/son died, do you guys know where she is?" ask Echo

"She is usually hiding in the shadows of the 'Olympians' to help them overthrow her children" said Tartarus

"Why doesn't she just deal with them herself?" ask Echo

"Because of the fates, they hold the fate of all the titans and Olympians, if she interferes too much the fates will lead everyone to their deaths and Gaea doesn't want her children to die" replied Nyx

"Wow, no offence but your daughters are a bit of an ass" said Echo

"You don't need to tell me, I am aware they let their powers go to their heads, and are a sadistic bunch" replied Nyx fully aware they get their behaviour from her when she was younger.

After their catch up Echo decides to go find Gaea.
