Chapter 273 Take on the divine power [Edited]

Sullivan looked at his servants, who were calmed down now. He thought about how he should ask them to help him take on the burden of his divine power. Especially Scathach, who seems to dislike all the divine beings for some reason.

Sullivan pondered over the best approach to take with his servants, considering their individual personalities and attitudes towards divine beings.

'How should I go on about this?'

Sullivan had something in his mind that his servants knew. but only Jeanne spoke to him. She seemed like a nice girl who wanted to help everyone.

"Master, are you okay? Do you have something to say to us, right?"

Jeanne spoke with a smile. She felt that he held a sacred power that was even purer than hers. So she was very happy right now to have someone like him as her master. and Scathach even said that he was God's kin. That means he was a god. and He didn't abhor her, as he had called upon her to be his servant.

'God hasn't forsaken me!'

Sullivan paused for a moment, contemplating his next words. He knew that sharing his burden with his servants would make things more complicated, as they might not be able to return to the throne of heroes anymore.

'I need to ask them to be sure.'

"Does any of you like the throne of heroes?"

"No, absolutely not; I don't want to return. Don't send me back, Master!"

Sullivan breathed a sigh of relief. Everyone didn't like the throne of heroes.

And Jeanne. Why did she react so much, and why did she look at him like he was going to throw her away? He remembered that her personality wasn't like that.

'Is this also AU?'

It should be right. This world was a mixture of many stories, so it was hard for him to grasp the situation.

"That's good to hear, and what about if I give you a way to cut yourself completely off from the throne?"

Hearing what Sullivan said. Scathach was the one to answer his question.

"You can't, and Even If you can, you shouldn't. Alaya will send her guardian to kill you."

Sullivan looked at Scathach. She firmly believed that Alaya would not let anyone mess up the world.

"It's okay; Alaya and Gaia won't do anything to me unless I do something too much for this world."

Scathach heard that her eyes narrowed in a thin line.

She seemed to be thinking about something that wasn't there.

"So you really relate to her?"

"Who?"

Sullivan didn't know who she was mentioning. Scathach sighed, realizing that Sullivan was oblivious to the significance of Alaya and Gaia's actions in ignoring him. There's only one person who could do that to them.

And he must relate to her if the counterforce won't interfere with what he is about to do. because to them, his existence was best left alone if he didn't do something outrageous.

Even killing millions of innocent people might not convince them to attack him. Unless he planned to destroy this world and all humanity,

Scathach then didn't say anything anymore. She knew that she had been summoned by someone who could potentially be as strong as the goddess who beat her with her little finger. She couldn't help but be excited about it. Maybe she would be able to find her and fight her again if she stayed with this young god.

This time it was Morgan who looked at Sullivan with calculating eyes. She knew that he needed their help with something. and the reward was that they could make them complete and not a copy of themselves.

With that, they won't have to go back to the throne of heroes and be just the tools for the counterforce to take.

'Whatever it takes, I will be myself and not someone else's copy.'

Now that Sullivan could feel what they deeply desired. He knew right away that he could convince both of them to help him take on his divine power. He then looked at the last person who had been the first to accept him as her master.

She was already ready to do anything for him. He felt like he had adopted a lonely girl into his family, and it was his duty to make sure that she wouldn't suffer mistreatment anymore.

"Jeanne D'arc, do you want to be my true servant if you accept me as your lord? I will give you freedom, and all you have to do is always stay by my side and help me with the burden of my own divine power."

Sullivan now knew that they would accept him. He didn't need to play with words and spoke with earnestness.

Jeanne, who had always prayed to God and never once doubted him, even in her dying breath, kneeled down in front of him and prayed. Even though he might not be the god she had worshipped in the past, he is the god who took her into his embrace, so she was really grateful.

"I accept my Lord." Please hold me as your servant and guide me on this new path."

Jeanne said, her voice filled with unwavering faith. Sullivan, humbled by her devotion, reached out and gently lifted her up from her kneeling position. With a reassuring smile, he replied,

"Fear not, Jeanne. I shall protect and guide you with all the strength of my divine power."

Sullivan felt a surge of warmth and compassion fill his being. He realized that being accepted by Jeanne meant more to him than he had thought.

He felt something deep inside him awaken. It should be his divine power, as it gushed out and went inside Jeanne.

Jeanne, who received his divine power directly, was shocked as it was so powerful! The surge of divine power coursing through Jeanne's body was overwhelming, causing her to tremble with awe and disbelief.

As the energy settled within her, she felt a newfound sense of strength that she thought would be the power of the god.

He had bestowed upon her such divine power!

And now the connection between her and the throne had been severed, and she could exist on her own and didn't need the prana of her master to exist. She became free in a literal sense.

She then looked at Sullivan with devotion. Now he had become her god, the one who would never abhor her. For the first time in her life, she felt that she would no longer have to face a miserable fate ever again.
