Chapter 228 Doing nothing is the best way [Edited]

The atmosphere in the room felt heavy.

Sullivan looked at James and Ozpin. The two were now staring at each other like they were going to fight.

Ozpin had told him what he wanted to know. And the answer was by far he could accept.

He felt like he was betrayed by the one he trusted the most.

"You are telling me that this boy is a god. Do you think I will believe you? He might be the one of the Salem agents. We must make sure that we don't have a spy among us. He needs to be taken and put to the trail. And I don't want to sound like a bad man but Summer too. She needs to be taken and put on trail"

The trail that James was talking about was to put them into a machine that would scan their brain.

James chose to believe that Sullivan was one of the Salem agents more than he was a god.

He didn't believe that there were other gods except for the twin brothers.

"And I am telling you that I am not a god…"

Sullivan spoke with a sigh. James was now occupied by his semblance and his thought was now trying to make sure that no one was a spy. Such a useless and inflexible semblance.

Ozpin was now angry. He was relieved that Sullivan was such a big heart god. He didn't take offense to James' words and told him that it was just his semblance acting up.

But even though it was like that, that didn't mean he would let such a capital offense pass by.

He knew James more than anyone else. James would never stop thinking about putting Sullivan and Summer on the trial.

He needed to be stopped by someone else.

And as Ozpin was about to do something so the matter would not get out of hand.

Ai who heard everything from the start was now very angry. This was the first time she felt like this.

Someone dared to speak bad about her big brother. He dared to tarnish him!

"You dare to talk bad to my big brother. You have tarnished my brother's dignity. You should never exist."

Ai's eyes glowing with magical power. Ozpin, who felt it, felt scared.

'What is that magical power? It felt like it met the end.'

Ai looked at James who was now feeling far worse than Ozpin. He felt that his very existence was being denied by reality.

"How…"

He started to break apart and fall into dust particles. And when he was about to meet his end the feeling stopped.

"Don't be a naughty kid, Ai."

Sullivan stopped her by closing her eyes with his left hand and swinging his right hand to bring everything back to the way it once was.

"I am sorry big brother but the old man talked bad about big brother so Ai is just very angry. Don't be mad at Ai, Okay."

Ai was very afraid that Sullivan was going to scold her and be angry with her but Sullivan just smiled and pat her head.

"Don't worry I am not going to be angry with my little sister with just these trivial things."

'Trivial things…'

James was now sweating a bucket. If it wasn't for Sullivan to stop her in time. He would cease to exist. And it was way more scary than death.

Ozpin saw the opportunity to put James in his place.

"That is the power of God, James. Even Salem and I couldn't do that when we were at our prime."

James could only nod and looked at Ai warily. She wasn't like Sullivan. She was ready to destroy everything or everyone if they offended her brother.

Ozpin then added more of the detail to make sure that James's semblance would stop him from being stupid like planning to do something to them.

"You should not be wary of the two. They are on the calm side. But be wary of the two goddesses. They would do anything to destroy you and your kingdom if you had some funny thoughts. One of them even had an information network that was far stronger than yours. I have no doubt that they already knew what you wanted to do with their brother and master."

After hearing Ozpin's warning. James was now having a hard time thinking straight because his semblance forced him to stop thinking of a way to stop them.

The best way to stop the disaster was doing nothing and let them be. Otherwise he might invoke the wrath of the goddesses.
