Chapter 223 Messing with dangerous people [Edited]

At the white fang hideout. There's a conflict between Cinder Fall and Roman Torchwick.

Cinder looked at Roman intensely. She didn't think that Roman would dare to speak to her like that.

She had demonstrated her power to him and his little friend more than she could count. She made sure that he would do everything as she told him to.

But it looked like it wasn't enough.

'How strange, I didn't see fear in his eyes like before…'

She observed him, wanting to know what gave him such courage in speaking to her like that.

She knew that Roman was far from stupid so he might have something or someone that could stop her from killing him.

'Was it his little friend but even though she's strong. She can't hope to beat someone like me. So it must be someone else. Was it someone from the Ozpin side? No, Roman would never associate with Ozpin's people. That's left only those from the underworld gangs.'

And while she was observing him and trying to figure out who could have made him feel that she was not a threat to him anymore.

A young man wearing a blindfold with red hair walked in. He watched them and sneered.

"What are you humans doing? We don't have time to waste."

The young man was the captain of the white fangs in Vale. He hated humans to the bone but had to endure working with them for the greater good.

And seeing humans try to kill each other gave him satisfaction, but he couldn't let them kill each other yet before he achieved his goal.

The young man was Adam Torus. The Ex-maniac boyfriend of Blake Belladonna.

He came here for two purposes, one was to kill as many humans as possible and the other was to bring back his girlfriend or kill her if she refused.

Roman and Cinder heard him then the two stopped and looked at him. Roman was the one who spoke first.

"Oh that's right we don't have time to waste don't we. So stop wasting time and send me more competent animals, you idiot. If you don't purposely send me those sick animals. We would have so much more time!"

"You!"

Adam was a hot headed young man. When he was provoked he would lose his cool easily. He wanted to attack Roman but.

"Oh angry animal… So scary. Don't forget where we are."

With the reminder of where they were. Adam had to stop. If he attacked him there was a very good chance that the dust stored in the hideout would go boom.

Adam gritted his teeth and stopped himself from killing Roman.

"You are lucky that we don't have much time. But when the job is finished, you are dead."

With that being said, he then went to do what he needed to do. He didn't want to stay there with the humans anymore, lest he lose control and kill everyone here.

He didn't know that someone was looking at him from the shadows. If he made his move. He would be killed before he even knew it.

And the threat before the high risking job was the best way to send someone to their grave.

Roman didn't feel anything with the threat. To be honest he felt funny that he was once afraid of such people.

Cinder was still observing him. She still couldn't figure out why he was so confident.

Roman then looked at her and then her two companions.

"As the animal said, we don't have much time so don't you dare waste it. This will be the last job we cooperate together after this we are done."

After that Roman retreated. He had done what he really wanted to do for a long time. Messing with dangerous people and still lived to tell the tales.

Mercury and Emerald wanted to beat Roman but before they could do anything. Cinder spoke first.

"Don't mess with him for now. Observe him and tell me everything he does from now on Emerald. Oh and his little friend too."

Cinder after ordering the two. She then went on her way to do her own things. They need to infiltrate the academy to do the next plan.

Mercury and Emerald could only sigh. They need to listen to Cinder otherwise they might be punished.

At Beacon academy.

Sullivan had brought Summer Rose with him. This was the first time she experienced traveling through a wormhole. It was fascinating yet scary at the same time.

Ai was waiting for him to return. She missed him very much after he left the academy and went to patch island.

She decided to ditch the class and come to him. Ruby wanted to come with her but she didn't have privilege like her so she had to stay at the class like everyone else.

Summer, who saw little Ai couldn't help but think of her daughter. She then hugged her without thinking.

Ai was startled at first, but when she saw who she was. She then didn't resist or do anything to her.

Summer didn't know but if Ai wasn't recognize her she might be killed and Sullivan had to resurrect her again.

Ai didn't like being touched by strangers but somehow she related Summer to Ruby and when she saw how she treated her daughter, even step one, very good in the show.

She subconsciously cataloged Summer as a good person.

"Who is this cute baby! She is so cute!"

Ai didn't know what to do with Summer. When she was hugged by her, she felt something that she had never felt before. It was different when she was hugged by Sullivan.

She looked at Sullivan who smiled at her warmly. He knew what was feeling right now. And she wanted to know what it was.
