Chapter 220 Repent or be eaten alive [Edited]
Roman Torchwick was now having a hard time breathing. He woke up from a nightmare.
He looked around the place he was in. He couldn't help but sighed.
'I-It's so scary.'
He thought back about the thing that happened last night. The last heist was going smoothly until someone showed up and beat everyone including him.
He felt pain all over his body even though his aura had already healed him but something was still there to remind him of what had happened.
He was arrested after being beaten to a pulp.
'Who is he? Why the hell is he so strong?'
He saw white fangs being beaten easily by that man. They couldn't do anything to him.
The man used only his bare hand to physically beat them. He didn't even use aura but somehow his attack went through their aura like it was just a decoration.
They tried to escape when they knew they couldn't win but he just pulled them from far away with his power.
They couldn't escape and could only accept their fate.
After he beat them up. He looked at them with his terrifying orange fire eyes.
How could human or faunus eyes glow like that?
Just the thought made him feel scared for his life. Fortunately, the man didn't kill him or anyone else. He just sent them to jail.
The last thing he heard from him was.
"Repent or be eaten alive by the griffon."
Somehow it made him feel like death was roaming around him. Ready to accept him to her domain.
'Will I be eaten alive by the griffon?'
Roman normally would think of it as bullshit but the man gave him the feeling that he might know his future. Should he stop doing bad things now when the man gave him the opportunity.
He was arrested and sent to the high security jail. Cinder would never be able to touch him here.
'Now only Neo is left outside. Will she be fine after this?'
He thought of his surrogate daughter then he thought of the blond-haired woman and he felt relief with her there with Neo. She would at least protect her from harm.
'Well at least she have someone to rely on.'
And when he was feeling relief and was about to go back to sleep. He heard something outside his cell. It was a footsteps sound.
"Oh no… This foot step style entrance… Don't tell me"
Roman's face went pale. He knew this sound of footsteps belonged to who. He stood up and tried to find a way to get out of the cell. But it's already too late.
"I-I can explain this…"
"No need, I don't want to hear it."
The one who appeared before him was none other than Neo. She was stronger than before and already learned how to use Chakra and Nen from her sensei.
She had an affinity with wind Chakra. So she used basic wind jutsu and her parasol to fly to the atlas airship to break Roman out but before that she needed to break one of his legs first.
She was so worried when Roman didn't appear when it was the time for the heist. Even though she didn't show it, he was very important to her. He was the only family she had.
But he had to go and do something stupid like trying to exclude her from his operation.
If it wasn't for her sensei to tell her that. Her master had sent him to jail. And told her that he gave her the mission to retrieve him from the jail and stop working with Cinder Fall. She wouldn't know.
Neo was now one of the members of the guild so she knew that Cinder would never be able to do anything to them.
One of the rules of the guild was that the members of the guild had to take care of each other.
If Cinder wanted to do something to Roman, Neo would interfere, and if she was in danger. Tsunade will make her move. No, not only her, but every member of the guild that came to this world would come out and deal with her too.
