26 26: 2 Stars Aligning

Austin left the Avengers tower and declined Phil's offer to take him before opening a Stargate in some eerie alley and appearing back inside his room.

"that went smoother than I thought," Austin said while releasing a sigh, he thought Tony stark would be too arrogant and not even give him a chance, but the guy seemed to be motivated by his will to make himself stronger that he couldn't help himself.

now that Austin had made a deal with Tony stark, he now had something he needed to deal with.

how to get his hands on "vibranium" of course one would say just go to Wakanda, but Wakanda isn't so easy to find, especially if you are purposely looking for the place.

another option would be to find the ancient residence of the talokans under the depths of the Puerto Rico trench in the Atlantic ocean.

Of course diving, all the way under the ocean to find the ancient city was also nearly impossible for the current Austin, the pressure alone under there would make him very uncomfortable.

"I'll think about this later" Austin decided and sat down in a cross-legged position.

time went by like a speeding car, the sun which hung high previously was slowly setting to the horizon as the dark blanket of the night was awoken and began to outstretch itself far above the earth.

Austin sat down and meditated for hours, as he controlled his breathing it was as if the stars in the heavens were rejoicing and vibrating joyously as they sent down their energy toward him.

boom!

Something in Austin's mind shattered and his eyes flew open immediately before he sat up.

"I lit up the second star already?" he looked at the palms of his hands in shock, after gaining the astral Sorcerer class, Austin gained 9 different points in his body, all in the shape of stars, using the astral energy from the stars he would be able to slowly refine these points and then gain access to more star points to store astral energy.

a warm ethereal source of energy rushed through his body and uplifted his blood vessels as Austin clenched his fists, he could slowly feel his power increasing, and he hadn't even added any stat points.

it was only after 5 minutes that the warm feeling of the energy coursing through his body came to an end.

Austin's pupils resembled an endless sea of stars as he looked around in shock and then excitement.

"status" he called out excitedly.

After unlocking the 2nd star point, Austin's stats had all increased by 5 points, except for his intelligence which automatically shot up by 10 points.

Austin distributed his 5 stat points which he still had evenly amongst his stats, but 2 went to intelligence.

not only that, but he had also gained his second Astral Sorcerer ability.

"System, tell me more about this new ability," Austin asked, he wanted to know about this ability before he used it.

Void Dome: You can create a spherical dome within a certain radius of yourself (depends on intelligence stat) Anything within this dome is slowed down and is manipulated by the host, whether it is a living being or an object.]

Looking at the description of Void Dome, Austin didn't know how to react till he reread the ability a couple more times.

"What the F*CK?" he was having a lot of fantasies right now.

if his intelligence stat was high enough, would he be able to create a dome that could surround the whole planet? and manipulate everything around him with this ability?

"system, are there any cons to this ability?" Austin decided to ask, although it had many uses, it also wouldn't be so easy to use.

yes, using void Dome will absorb the host's energy at an incredible rate, it is recommended to only use it for intervals of seconds to avoid losing energy and passing out] the system said mechanically.

"so it's like that" Austin didn't know if he should smile or not, it was a broken ability, so broken to the point that he could only use it for a few seconds every time to avoid passing out.

"I guess it all comes down to raising my intelligence stat, I'll be able to withstand it and use it longer" Austin didn't think much about the nerf on his new ability, it was far better than he thought.

At least the ability could save him in life-threatening situations.

"I'll keep that in mind," Austin said as he released a soft sigh, that was the stat he was already focusing on after all.

Austin couldn't wait to test out the void dome, he found no harm in using the ability so he decided to go somewhere in the university, which was crowded.

Austin walked into the large basketball court inside the gym which usually had many people there, even at this time of the night.

While watching the people playing basketball, Austin muttered under his breath.

"Void Dome"

A soft vibration sound was released as Austin's hand was unconsciously raised with his palms wide open, a spherical illusionary Dom appeared before it enlarged at a fast speed, surrounding the whole gymnasium.

in the span of a second, Austin watched as the basketball players which were previously in a heated competition slow down in his eyes, the basketball which was near the net was also falling in at the speed of a snail.

Austin felt a sharp pain in his head and ended the use of the ability, in just one second he had seen everything in this world as if time had slowed down and he was the sole being that could move properly.

After ending the ability Austin calmed down his near-heavy breathing as he saw the basketball fall through the net, to him it felt like it had been in the air for minutes, yet only a second had passed.
