"An elemental ability," Austin said in delight, he had only been making do with his mana right now, and adding an element to his mana would boost its strength by a couple of times.

the system asked while Austin kept his hand on the skill book.

the skill book turned into a flash of light before entering Austin's head through the space between his brows, his mind was instantly filled with the use and strength of their new ability.

a crackle of lightning was heard in Austin's hand as he raised it, a lightning arrow appeared within the void while the chaotic lightning snakes around it danced vigorously.

boom!!

Austin released the lightning arrow, the strength carried by the arrow along with its bizarre speed was enough to break the sound barrier as it shot off into the air, leaving a crackling streak of lightning within its trail.

Austin looked into the sky as the lightning arrow disappeared immediately, he was surprised by the power behind it.

"so these are elemental magic abilities," Austin said with a smile, then, using his strong physical body he sprinted out of the area, he noticed the presence of some people approaching!

the noise created by the lightning arrow had been way too loud and attracted their unwanted attention.

in a couple of seconds, a group of security guards from the university appeared where Austin was previously.

"Who the fuck reported that they heard some suspicious activities going on here? I don't see anything" the short bald security man said with a slight bit of anger.

"I don't know, but this place seems as calm as any other place here, so let's just go back," the other security guard said before they both walked back.

back in his dorm!

Austin sat down leisurely on the couch and turned on his television, on the table was some food that he had ordered before he entered his dorm room!

While he ate, Austin's eyes fell on the news which was being played on his television screen.

pfft!!

the coca-cola which was in his mouth was spat out instantly after he saw what was going on!

"No Fucking way," Austin said while wiping away the drink from his lips!

on the screen, a video was currently playing on the news.

it was actually a video of spider man who could be seen swinging around the city with his spiderwebs.

Austin could immediately that it was the Tom Holland version of spiderman, which meant one important thing!

Zendaya was definitely in this world.

Austin calmed his excitement and cleared his throat before looking back at the screen.

the new broadcast was titled "spiderman spotted in the streets of New York once again"

seeing this, Austin released a laugh, he already knew that the year was 2017, meaning it would only be a year or so before Thanos appeared on earth to cause chaos.

"well damn" Austin said with a smile while looking at the screen, he now knew that he needed to get stronger, and fast too, or else he would definitely die in the upcoming war, even if he didn't do anything and tried to hide away, could he be 100% sure that he wouldn't be part of the 50% that got wiped out?

while Austin was watching news, he was surprised more and more as many superheroes were shown on screen.

"I should watch the news more" Austin thought, the news was always so interesting.

Austin's phone rang a couple of times before he picked it up after calming his thoughts.

it was a facetime call from his best buddy Malik.

"hey bro, what are you doing right now, are you free today?" the big guy appeared on the screen and started talking immediately, he seemed to be outside.

"Nothing much, why, what's up?" Austin replied since he still needed to think about what to do next.

"if you got nothing to do later today, come with me, remember the girl I went on a date with, we are going on another date today, but she invited her friend and told me to invite someone, so I wanted to invite you," Malik said in excitement while his head was held high.

"Wow, you thought about me?" Austin joked.

"don't give me that bullshit, you know I'm your good man, let me know if you're going or not," Malik said with a smirk.

"of course, I'm going, it's only around 6 right now, when should I meet up with yall," Austin said while glancing at his phone's timer.

"we will meet up at 7:30, so get dressed up, I'll text you later in a bit," Malik said before ending the call at a fast speed, god knows what he was in a hurry to do.

Austin only agreed to go since he didn't have much to do today anyways, he had already done his daily dungeon run, worked out earlier in the morning, and didn't mind showing up for his buddy.

Austin placed his attention back on the news while also thinking of his next course of actions for now, there was many things he could do, but they all needed power, and right now he wasn't strong enough to make an impact on this world.
