96 Chapter 96: The Most Unlikely Patricide

"No! You're wrong. You and I are not the same kind of people, never have been," Peter said, glaring coldly at the man before him, who seemed to be suffering from a severe case of split personality.

Within him dwelled possibly a demon, born from his fractured psyche. Norman's relentless pursuit of success through paranoia and ruthlessness had gradually eroded his sanity. Such a person was fundamentally different from Peter himself. At least the symbiote within him wasn't a product of his own fractured mind, and he was far from being a madman.

"Haha," the man chuckled despite being punched by Peter, still wearing a smile on his face. "I am a demon, and so are you, Peter! You are even scarier than me, I can smell it!"

Peter ignored his ramblings and shook his head. "I'm afraid you won't be seeing anything anymore. Tonight, everything ends."

Bending forward and stepping, Peter's fist struck towards the Green Goblin with increased force. The empowered Green Goblin dodged Peter's punch and was met with Gwen's web strike.

"Gah!" Roaring in anger, Gwen used her webs to bind the Green Goblin's wrist and swiftly closed in to punch him, supported by Peter.

"Boom!" Gwen's punch squarely hit his chin this time, causing the Green Goblin to stagger backward. With his thick skin, he endured the blow and retaliated by reaching for Gwen.

Meanwhile, Peter's clawed arm grabbed the Green Goblin's hands from the side. His left fist turned into a palm, slamming into the Green Goblin's chest.

Hit by this blow, the Green Goblin's body recoiled backward, crashing heavily against the wall with a resounding "thud." Cracks spread on the wall behind him.

After being rescued by Peter, Gwen wasted no time and swiftly shot her webs to entangle the Green Goblin's ankles.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Gwen's web bullets pounded on the Green Goblin's ankles. Although temporarily ensnared, he quickly broke free with brute force.

Enraged, the Green Goblin ignored the torrent of black corrosive rain unleashed by Peter and charged towards Gwen with his arms raised to shield his head.

Calmly breathing, Gwen shot her webs at the wall behind her and propelled herself away from the spot.

"Boom!" The office furniture shattered as the Green Goblin collided with it, sending wooden splinters flying everywhere.

Enraged, his armor corroded by the corrosive rain, even penetrating his muscles, but he was completely numb to the pain. His actions became even more violent, fearless of death, as he launched another attack.

"Swoosh!" The next moment, Peter moved in front of him and punched him in the face with tremendous force, causing the Green Goblin to lose balance and stagger sideways.

Immediately, Peter grabbed his throat, attempting to pull him away. But the Green Goblin's movements were faster than expected. He blocked Peter's attack with his arm and grabbed a metal safe, smashing it towards Peter.

As Peter dodged the safe, Gwen's attack followed suit. She landed a kick on the Green Goblin's ankle and grabbed his wrist, attempting to pin him down.

"Thud!" The Green Goblin's heavy body crashed onto the floor, causing a slight vibration in the room.

At the same time, Gwen managed to pin his wrist to the ground.

"Clatter!" Before Gwen could catch her breath, a pumpkin bomb rolled beside her.

Naturally, Peter wouldn't let the bomb explode in the room. His black webs shot towards the pumpkin bomb, sending it flying out of the window with a "boom."

"Boom!" A massive explosion occurred outside the window, shattering all the glass panes of the Osborne Industries Building.

The whistling glass shards swirled into the room, and Gwen shielded her eyes, bracing herself against the impact.

Harry, who had been sleeping in the room, was awakened by the explosion. He opened his eyes to witness the chaos.

Meanwhile, Gwen removed her hand from her eyes and saw a huge boulder falling towards them.

Considering the possibility of people being on the street below, Gwen immediately jumped towards the boulder and shot her webs to catch it.

The powerful force pulled Gwen closer to the edge of the falling window.

Seeing Gwen risking her life, Peter frowned but moved to her side, grabbing her arm to share the weight of the boulder.

The Green Goblin, seeing the two at the window, glared at them with intensified red eyes.

He lifted a deformed metal safe and approached them.

"Peter, Gwen, you cannot escape today!" he shouted.

On the other side, Harry, witnessing everything, knew his father was about to attack the two Spider-Men while they were vulnerable.

Moreover, Gwen's mask had been damaged in the explosion, and she had completely removed it.

Learning from his father's words, Harry realized that the two Spider-Men before him were his friends, completely stunned.

How was this possible?

Although shocked that Gwen and Peter were superheroes, the most important thing now was to stop his father.

"No! Dad, there are people on the street below. You'll kill them if you do this," Harry pleaded in agony. "Please, stop! Stop!"

The Green Goblin ignored Harry's words and approached Peter and Gwen from behind, ready to strike.

In order to protect his friends, Harry continued pleading.

Approaching Peter from behind, the Green Goblin raised the metal safe above his head.

"Thunk!"

However, before he could strike, he felt a sharp pain in his waist.

In disbelief, he turned around slowly to see Harry, tears streaming down his closed eyes.

Harry had plunged a metal rod, about a meter long with a spiked tip, into his waist.

Blood flowed slowly down the metal, and the Green Goblin quickly felt his strength draining away.

With a roar, he grabbed the blade from his body, swinging his arm to strike Harry.

Knowing what he had done, Harry, with his eyes closed, dared not look into his father's eyes.

The Green Goblin's hand ultimately didn't strike. He stumbled and fell to the side.

With a "thud," his body hit the ground, emitting a muffled, incomprehensible sound from his mouth.

He could feel his life force rapidly draining away, unable to muster even the slightest strength to move.

With Peter's help, Gwen had already used her webs to secure the boulder in place.

Watching everything unfold before her eyes, Gwen felt a mix of shock and disbelief.

She never could have imagined that Harry would stop everything in this way.

Immediately afterward, she felt a wave of suffocation and discomfort.

She fully understood how agonizing this choice must have been for Harry.

Next to her, Peter's expression softened slightly.

Although he didn't value this former friendship too much, it seemed Harry didn't share the same sentiment.

"Thud!"

Harry, tears streaming down his face, knelt in front of his father, his head hanging weakly.
