Just as Magneto was about to use his powers to deal with the workers who had betrayed him, a circular sphere composed of purplish-red halos suddenly appeared behind Zane and him.

Immediately after the halos disappeared, a small braided alien-looking boy (Apocalypse), a bird-man (Angel), a white-feathered woman (Storm), and a tough-looking woman in leather clothes (Psylocke) appeared in the steel mill.

Seeing this situation, Magneto thought they had come to stop him from killing. He was ready to confront them.

"Who the hell are you? Today, these damn traitors are doomed. It won't matter who comes."

Apocalypse walked up to Magneto, his inner emotions calm, almost wanting to laugh. He activated his powers directly, pulling the steelworkers into the ground, leaving only a few arms and thighs twitching. It was clear that those workers were done for.

They deserved to die. If it weren't for Zane's appearance, Magneto would have definitely turned dark because of them, and countless innocent people would suffer because of him. Fundamentally, they were the true culprits behind Magneto's potential corruption.

These people were foolish. Knowing that someone could easily kill them with a simple move, they still foolishly provoked. They deserved their fate.

As Apocalypse was about to speak to show that he and Magneto were on the same side, showcasing his high style, an unexpected incident occurred.

Blood splattered from Apocalypse's left eye suddenly, followed by the sound of gunfire. Apocalypse's head instantly became riddled with bullet holes.

Yes, this was Zane's solution. The best way to prevent Professor X from getting involved was not to participate in the Cairo battle at all. Instead, he directly dealt with Apocalypse when he was recruiting Magneto. Zane's plan was to complete the mission by eliminating Apocalypse.

As soon as Apocalypse and the three horsemen were transported here by Apocalypse, Zane activated his skill, [God's Absence] holding his breath. Then, picking up the pistol he had taken while leaving a message for the bodyguards, he shot Apocalypse in the eyes until the entire magazine was empty, only releasing the skill in front of the three horsemen and Magneto.

In the original world, even Mystique, could slash a large opening in Apocalypse's neck with a knife, indicating that Apocalypse's body strength was still within the range of a normal person. That's why Zane came up with such a plan to perfectly outsmart Apocalypse.

However, Zane wasn't naive enough to believe that he could solve the big boss Apocalypse just like that. Indeed, the moment Zane released his skills and revealed his form, he was immediately controlled by the three knights who were already under Apocalypse's command.

Then, at some point, Apocalypse, whose head had been smashed on the ground and was already in a terrible state, somehow returned to his original state.

Apocalypse, expressionless, stood up, and in the next moment, countless yellow sand particles enveloped Zane like a cocoon.

Magneto, seeing this scene, just wanted to intervene, but Zane's first request to him suddenly flashed in his mind:

'Within today, you must watch all my actions coldly, even if someone wants to kill me, you must not intervene.'

Just as Magneto hesitated about whether to take action, Apocalypse suddenly clenched his fist, and a Marvel version of 'Sandstorm Burial' appeared, with the target being Zane, who had taken the initiative to die.

"Let's go, my child," Apocalypse regained his composure, as if nothing had happened just now.

"Okay."

Magneto, after looking at the body on the ground that was no longer human-shaped for a while, then walked into the halo with Apocalypse. He didn't believe that Zane had died just like that, especially considering the miraculous resurrection that had happened before. He was only puzzled about Zane's purpose in being so reckless.

"Sigh, incomprehensible, truly incomprehensible," Magneto muttered to himself.

After Apocalypse left with his new Four Horsemen, the entire factory fell silent. In the next moment, countless splashes of blood seemed to be drawn by some kind of force, rapidly converging on Zane's body, which was already riddled with wounds...

Three seconds later, Zane, whose clothes were completely restored and undamaged, crouched on the ground, pale-faced, panting heavily.

"Hoo..."

Death was not scary for Zane; it felt similar to waking up after a nap. The key was that Apocalypse's method of killing him was painfully brutal!

After a while, Zane recovered, went outside, returned to the small grove where he first encountered Magneto, and woke up the several bodyguards who were still in a state of unconsciousness. He settled the final payment for them, gave them a generous compensation, and told them to keep the trip confidential. Then he boarded a plane back to the United States.

As he sat on the plane, Zane organized his thoughts and silently said:

"System, open the character panel."

So, while on the plane, Zane requested a hot towel from the flight attendant and meticulously wiped his hands to prevent any interference with the lottery results due to darkened hands.

Zane breathed a sigh of relief and commanded the system to start the lottery. Though not his first time, Zane still felt the usual tension when it came to lottery draws.
