216 Chapter 216 : Angels

"Ha ha ha, I've wanted to beat you for a long time," Rocket said as he frantically pressed a button. A barrage of energy cannons began firing one after another. Ego clenched his fists and two huge energy whips emerged from the ground, binding the battleship firmly.

The energy whips rapidly shrank, and the defensive cover of the battleship made a loud, overwhelmed click.

"Break it for me," Rocket said, launching a missile at one of the energy whips. The missile exploded on impact, but before Rocket could cheer, two more energy whips had entangled the battleship and its defensive cover was vibrating from the strain.

"Quill, if the shield breaks, we're all going to die," Yondu said to Star-Lord, who was unable to enter the door. "Think of your friends and use your powers to protect them with your heart."

"That group of people who mock me and pit against me, are my friends?" Star-Lord said, snorting. However, in his mind, he couldn't help but recall the happy times he had with everyone.

Yondu's influence had kept Star-Lord feeling alone, but he finally found friends for the first time when he met this group of funny guys.

"Even though you're all bastards, I don't want you to die," Star-Lord muttered to himself. His eyes gradually lit up with energy rays and the energy whip that had been entangled in the battleship quickly dissipated. The battleship shook violently and regained its freedom.

"Quill, you did it," Yondu laughed.

"Yes, I did it, Rocket. Open the door," Star-Lord said, clenching his shining fists. Without hesitation, he flew straight out of the battleship and towards Ego. "Ego, pay back my mother's life," he said angrily.

"Fuck," Ego said, furious, as he controlled more than a dozen energy whips to attack Star-Lord. Star-Lord pressed his hands down and ten energy whips of his own emerged from the ground to fight against Ego's energy whips.

"That's my energy."

Ego gritted his teeth, but he couldn't stop Star-Lord, who was his son and had the power to control the energy in his planet.

However, Star-Lord was still a novice, and his control was far from Ego's level. He soon fell behind in the fight. Seeing this, Carol and Rocket stepped in to support him, causing Ego's energy whip to be broken one by one.

"Star-Lord, how do we kill Ego for good?" Carol shouted. "We'll only tire ourselves if we keep fighting like this."

"That bastard said that his brain is located inside the planet. If we destroy it, he'll die," Star-Lord yelled.

"Let's go down there!" Carol exclaimed.

With a powerful force from Star-Lord, the Earth cracked open a huge gap, and Carol and the others flew into the underground cave and towards the center of the planet.

"You dare?" Ego was angry and controlled the energy whip to block their path. Star-Lord charged forward and punched Ego, then pinned him to the ground and started beating him. Carol and the others, relieved of their pressure, quickly broke through.

"Grandmaster, begin," Ego yelled as he kicked Star-Lord away and pressed his hands to the ground. The ground far away shook violently, and nine peaks rose up simultaneously, each with a tall altar.

"Ego, you're not as dependable as you claimed. Blood God didn't even send his clone," Grandmaster said coldly, waving his hand. The runes on the demon and angel altars lit up one after another. It's worth noting that only Grandmaster's body could activate the altar.

"Whether it's an angel or a demon, all they want is the soul," Grandmaster continued. He took out a wine glass and carefully poured out its contents, which turned into countless dead souls and roared in the air. These weren't ordinary souls, but souls full of resentment.

Grandmaster then put away the glass and pushed it with both hands. The dead souls split into two groups and flew into the angel and demon altars.

After obtaining the offerings, the two altars simultaneously shone brightly. The one on the left was overflowing with magic, while the middle one was overflowing with holiness.

The rays of light from the altars converged and formed two space doors that were hundreds of meters tall.

"It's done," Grandmaster exclaimed in delight. A moment later, a large number of fallen angels and angels flapped their wings and flew out of the two space gates, forming neat squares in the air.

Though the fallen angels and the angels were hostile towards each other, they didn't fight due to the suppression of the commander. They merely pretended not to see each other.

Suddenly, the space gate connecting to heaven burst into a dazzling light and the Archangel, Gabriel, with six pairs of golden wings and radiating holy light, flew out. However, it is important to note that Gabriel was only a projection, not the real body.

"Gabriel!" All the angels cheered in unison. Gabriel flew to the top of the angel formation, opened his hands, and the infinite holy light enveloped the army of angels, causing them to soar.

Grandmaster curled his lips in annoyance and used his divine power to create a pair of sunglasses to protect his eyes from the bright light.

"Show off," the fallen angel next to Grandmaster grumbled as he struggled with the holy light.

The fallen angels should have cheered and shouted Lucifer's name at this point, but they all hesitated and chose silence instead.

The reason was simple - Lucifer didn't show up. The dark cloud was just composed of magic, so how could they cheer for it? Cheering for a boss who is greedy for life and afraid of death?

Grandmaster barked in annoyance, "Lucifer, why didn't you show up?"

"We'll talk about it later," Lucifer replied calmly. Meanwhile, Gabriel sneered, "Lucifer, you weren't so afraid of death before."

"You're not afraid of death, so why use only a projection?" Lucifer retorted. He had only made the projections to deal with Blood God and they're all gone, and now he had only one real body left. He wouldn't take any risks until he was absolutely sure.

Lucifer is not afraid of death, but he cannot sacrifice himself prematurely as the greater goal has not yet been accomplished.

"A mere Blood God does not deserve for me to use my real body," said Gabriel with pride. Meanwhile, Lucifer snorted coldly at the angels' continued audacity.

Lucifer and Gabriel are still hostile towards each other, even though they are working together to find God.

Just when Gabriel and Lucifer were taunting each other. Suddenly, a massive space portal appeared in the distance, getting bigger and bigger, and in the blink of an eye, it was already hundreds of meters high.

Blood Ship led his heavily armed, remotely controlled spaceships towards Ego Star through the big portal.

Out of the portal came Bert, who took the form of a bald Gladiator(Kallark). He coldly looked at Grandmaster and said, "It seems you are eager to die."

As Bert's gaze made Grandmaster feel uneasy, he remembered his plan and stood tall, saying, "Blood God, only you will die today."

Lucifer added, "We will destroy you and your forces here, then attack Earth and break down the defense network. You will only be able to helplessly watch from Hell."

At the same time, the Lord of Hell stirred up the space and created a space storm around Adam's Hell, trapping everyone inside.

Outside the Earth's defense network, exotic monsters began to invade and both Bert (projection) and Kamar-Taj were dragged away.

"Grandmaster, is this how the Elders guard the universe?" asked Bert in anger. But Grandmaster replied, "We are guarding the universe, not Earth. Hell is just a minor native planet in the universe."

With a look of anger, Bert laughed and said, "Grandmaster, today you will die."

Grandmaster sneered and said, "What do you know? Blood God, you will soon become a dead person."

Gabriel, shining as brightly as a light bulb, shouted, "Blood God, hand over the Spear of God and I will allow you to die with dignity."

Bert looked at Gabriel with a strange expression, noting the similarities in appearance with Ancient One, except for her short golden hair.

"It's been a bit of a mess." Bert said, shaking his head. "Gabriel, if you love the main universe so much, then stay here forever."

"Attack, Angel Legion, be tough in the face of death!" Gabriel raised his spear and shouted loudly, as tens of thousands of angels joined in unison. The sound of their horns filled the space as they charged towards the Blood Ship with holy light.

Lucifer also shouted, "Fallen Angels, attack!" followed by the rallying cry, "Long live the Demon King!" The fallen angels roared and charged towards the Blood Ship like a dark cloud, their demonic energy billowing.

"Earthlings, Sovereigns, fight for your homeland!" Bert held up the Vibranium spear and roared with anger. The Earthlings responded with loud cheers. A large number of clones flew out from the Blood Ship and rode space motorcycles to slam the Angel Legion.

Sovereigns did not cheer, but their fighting spirit was equally high. They wanted to protect their homeland.

Just as the two sides charged towards each other, a huge phantom appeared in front of the Blood Ship. It was the new star, Lorelei, who asked with a confident and charming smile, "Do you think I am beautiful?"

"Nice," came the reply from both male fallen angels and male angels. The aesthetics of angels are the same as those of humans and Asgardians.

Lorelei shouted, "Then kill those female angels. It's enough for you to have me."

"Yes, my goddess," replied the male fallen angels and male angels as they immediately turned to attack their former comrades. At that moment, the archangel Gabriel cast a spell with both hands, and a pair of large holy wings appeared in the sky.

Immediately, the Holy Wings radiated a bright holy light onto the Legion of Angels and the Legion of Fallen Angels. When the male angel touched the holy light, he felt a warm sensation throughout his body and his mind began to recover. Meanwhile, the fallen angels were tormented by the light and awoke more quickly.

"Blood God," said Grandmaster with a laugh, "Do you think I don't know you have this ace up your sleeve? All of your tricks are impressive, but they won't work if you use them more than once."

Lorelei then put on a pearl necklace for added charm, opened her hands, and shouted, "I want to see the fireworks, my angels! Dedicate your bodies and souls to your goddess."

With the blessing of the pearl necklace, both the fallen angels and angels were once again charmed. They lit their angel cores one by one and shouted, "Goddess, we will give you the most perfect fireworks."

"Fuck!" Gabriel bellowed in anger, swinging his holy light again. The fallen angels and angels quickly regained their senses, regretting their previous actions, and suppressing their angel cores. But once the angel cores were ignited, it was not easy to calm them down.

At this moment, an unmanned spaceship entered the attack range and rained energy bullets down on the fallen angels and angels.

The male angels were busy suppressing their cores and couldn't defend themselves. The female angels were too few in number to protect all of the male angels, and many were shot and killed.

Once they died, their angel cores could no longer control them and they exploded, taking nearby angels with them.

Sovereigns cheered and continued their attack, while a clone army dropped from the sky and crashed into the angels, causing even more losses.

"I am very pleased with this fireworks display," said Lorelei with a smile. Meanwhile, many male angels were once again charmed.

Gabriel gritted his teeth in anger and threw a white spear hundreds of meters long at the Blood Ship.

Bert's eyes widened as he used a heat ray to destroy the spear and charged towards Gabriel with a sound barrier shockwave.

Lucifer shouted, "Gabriel, defeat the Blood God!" At the same time, a large number of fallen angels and angels emerged from the space gate to support the vanguard army.

"Silence! You have no right to command me."

Gabriel snorted disdainfully and approached Bert with confidence. The two spears clashed in the air, creating intense waves.

Moments later, Bert split into nine and simultaneously attacked Gabriel from nine different directions. Gabriel sneered and with a single swipe of his spear, nine massive white beams of light descended from the sky and collided with each of the nine Berts.

In that instant, the nine Berts vanished, and then the true Bert appeared behind Gabriel, striking him in the back with a spear like a bolt of lightning.

Gabriel spun around and swung his spear rapidly, clashing hundreds of times with Bert's spear in one second. The air around them was nearly emptied.

"Your spear skills are impressive," Bert said as he attacked. His eyes lit up red, and he shot two heat rays towards Gabriel's chest.

Gabriel's white feathers fell as some of them turned into energy shields to block the heat rays, and others transformed into sharp swords and flew at Bert.

Bert turned his head and used the heat rays to destroy all of the sharp swords that Gabriel had shot. Taking advantage of the situation, Gabriel thrust his radiant spear at Bert.

Bert blocked the spear with his own, but was still knocked back several dozen meters. Gabriel was about to chase after him when Bert cast a spell with one hand, creating a shrinking Circle of Death around him.

"Your casting speed is remarkable. You were able to complete hundreds of spells in an instant," Gabriel commented in surprise. He then brought his hands together, creating a Holy Sphere that quickly grew in size and collided with the Circle of Death.
