------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Four days after I had talked with Fury about his involvement in the Arnim Zola incident, I had to come to many conclusions, one, Fury was a coworker type of friend, meaning he would always put his work first, and two, I needed to keep a close eye on S.H.I.E.L.D as a whole, they were doing very questionable things in regards to me, and three, it was time to eliminate Arnim once and for all.

So, I opened a portal to where the A.I known Arnim Zola was located, casting an illusion around myself to look like a woman, and burned the entire base to the ground, allowing of course, the SHIELD agents within the base to escape, all it took was a bit of dramatics and some fire, and I was done.

However, unlike most would assume at first glance, I didn't burn Arnim down alongside the base, no, I simply took his data during the commotion, why? Well, for various purposes, for one, I wanted to see if he had done anything to S.H.I.E.L.D before it came to bite me and then in the ass, two, I wanted to see how his code worked for my research, not only because it would help me understand how artificial intelligence worked, but it would also help me understand how Hydra infiltration code worked, after that? I would burn him.

So, with Arnim Zola in my hands, I opened a portal to my lab, and started to work.

Creating an isolated environment, to boot his consciousness back into the living world, which was an easy enough task.

"Time to wake up, doctor," I said, turning the PC on.

For a few seconds, the PC did nothing, but I knew better than to think Arnim was not awake and alive, he was simply playing dead, I had after all booted his consciousness according to his data specifications.

"I know you're there, so avoid wasting my time," I said, with a sigh.

<Alex also known as the genocider, project Hydra 310D-1 Icarus, full name, Alex Walker,> The computer glitched, changing the screen into something new, a green pixelated image of Arnim's face.

"Ah, the doctor awakes," I clapped my hands.

<What do you want?> Arnim asked,

"Well, I wanted to ask you a few questions," I replied.

<What a laughable proposition, as if I would tell you anything> Arnim replied, sounding a bit angry.

I hummed, "I suppose it was to be expected you wouldn't answer my questions," I sighed.

<Ahhh so the American has a brain, what an unexpected surprise!> Arnim laughed.

"You do know you were defeated by an American, not once, but three times, right?" I snorted.

At this the green pixelated image of Arnim changed into a red one, denoting his anger, <We can't be defeated, we were only momentarily stopped, we are a force of nature, we are the gods of the new world, we are hydra! and we will survive>

I blinked in surprise at his rant before I started to laugh, "I'm sorry, but that's cute considering you are the last surviving member of Hydra," I hummed, "Air quotes in surviving,"

<Nonetheless, I will give you nothing!> Arnim hissed.

"Well," I sighed, grabbing a book from my inventory, the one I had acquired during my last dungeon.

[Book of Technomancy]

<What is that?> Arnim asked, but I simply ignored him.</what>

[Do you wish to learn - Technomancy

YES/ NO]

Obviously, I pressed yes, consuming the book in the process.

[A new skill has been created = Technomancy LV 1 / Active]

[Technomancy - LV1/Active = By using the arts of Technomancy the user is capable of using magic to affect or replicate the technology with ease.

The user is also capable of communicating with technological entities such as A.I, using this spell as a conduit to the technology itself, the user is also capable of casting or developing spells and enchantments that result in cyber-related effects.

The user is basically utilizing science and technology as though as if it was a paranormal element like fire or blood.

What you can do with this spell depends on the LV of the skill, some entities for example are able to reject the effects brought by the spell if you don't have a high enough level to override their control.]

"Let's try," I smiled, casting [Technomancy] on Arnim.

[Skill level insufficient. Technomancy Level required 45]

<That was unexpected, that tickled,> Arnim muttered.

"Don't worry about it," I smiled, shutting him down, for the next time we talked, I would be enslaving his computerized mind to tell me what I want.

For now, though, I needed to level up my skill to the required level, meaning I had to start low.

Maybe using [Technomancy] on a calculator, or my toaster, who knows?

—————————————————————-

By the end of the day, I had leveled up [Technomancy LV5] five times, by using my skill on every appliance and or electronic in the house, from the TV to the toaster.

For now, I could toast my bread without touching the toaster, which… I already could do thanks to my telekinesis, and could use the TV without the remote, which I already could thanks to my telekinesis.

But it's like they say, one step at a time, or in this case one loaf of bread at a time.

"Dad, the toaster is acting all weird," Emily said, coming into my room.

"It was, past tense dear midget," Nat said with a smile, walking into my room with a bat and a broken toaster. "By the way, we need a new toaster,"

I sighed, "That's coming out of your allowance,"

"I regret nothing," Nat chuckled.

"How could you! Daddy works hard for us to have good things and you go all Thor on them?" Emily sighed, shaking her head.

"She gave me the bat," Nat snorted.

I looked at Emily, and immediately knew Nat wasn't lying, "The toaster is also coming out of your allowance,"

"Crab baskets," Emily sighed in a defeated tone.
