Boredom.

That's all the soul felt as it endlessly floated in a void, devoid of all sense of normalcy, where 1 second felt like an eternity and an eternity felt like 1 second. Where everything was bright yet there was no light. A paradox that would drive even the strongest of men insane, yet the soul was unaffected.

It had been there for an indescribable amount of time, and even if it tried to count, there would be no point as time was irrelevant in this paradox. All it could do was distract itself by remembering all the anime and movies it had watched before its death and because of this all of its other memories eventually faded, its name, its family, its death, all was forgotten leaving the soul to constantly replay its favourite franchises and anime in an endless loop.

It seemed like that was all the soul was going to do, but it seemed someone had other plans for the soul, as whilst it was floating around a tear appeared before it. On the other side of the tear was an old man with grey, swept-back hair and a grey moustache, sporting a kind smile as he stared at the soul, standing within an endless expanse of white. (pic)

The soul was surprised, to say the least as for as long as it could remember there was just it in an endless expanse of nothingness yet everything. Seeing another being gave the soul hope that it could finally leave its prison and talk with someone instead of trying to talk to itself about all the things it could remember. Try being the keyword, as it was incapable of speech, which wasn't much of a surprise if you take into account the fact that it didn't have a mouth.

The man seemed to give off an aura of calm, peace and grandfatherly love, just by standing in front of the soul. Which the soul unknowingly moved towards, seeking comfort from the pain and fear of being alone for so long and slowly forgetting who it was, no matter how hard it tried to remember.

"Well get over here already, 'cause if you don't start moving it I'm gonna come and drag you back to my domain. Because I for one know I would prefer to be anywhere but here, and I'm sure you would agree." The man, seeming to have noticed how the soul was acting, said in a comforting and gentle manner, trying to snap the soul out of its daze. Which he succeeded in and more, as his words brought back a memory of the soul with a sickly man in a bed with medical equipment around him.

The soul didn't know why but it knew the man was important to it and the gaze the man directed towards it made this feeling all the more potent. Unconditional love, pride, acceptance, sadness and so much more. Before the soul could process all of this, the man started to speak.

'Adam. I've not got much time left, so I need to make sure you understand something. As men, it's our duty to protect the things we love no matter the cost. And I'm not gonna be here to protect this family any longer soon, so I need you to do that for me, 'cause you're the only person I can trust with this task. You've grown to be an amazing person, kind, loving, and caring, you're even better than me and I couldn't be more proud because of it. When you start your own family, settle down, get a wife, have kids, watch them grow and accomplish things you didn't even know were possible, then you'll know how it feels to be just as proud of them, as I am of you. Never forget that it's a father's job to protect their children, no matter what and a son's job to make their father proud. You've already done the second one, now you just need to do the first, and I know you will because that's just the type of person you are. Never forget, if the world wants to take away the things you love then it'll have to go through you first. I love you Adam, and I always will no matter what you do, and that won't change when I'm gone, I just won't be able to tell you that in person anymore.'

Adam. That was his name. And that man was his father, his role model, the person he strived to be. After digesting that memory and all the emotions it brought up, he made his way over to the tear and went through, finally leaving behind his prison and entering a white expanse that seemed to have a weird comforting and homely feel to it.

After looking around, his sight eventually settled on the old man, who was patiently waiting for Adam to settle so that he could talk with him. Which he did after seeing Adam had finally calmed down after being freed from his own personal hell.

"Well, you're both one unlucky and lucky kid, son. If I hadn't noticed you, you would have been trapped there for all of eternity, and I don't know about you but that doesn't seem very pleasant." This caused Adam to freeze for a moment before relaxing, to which the old man continued.

"My name is One Above All, but people tend to just call me Stan. Nice to meet you kid, and boy do I have an offer for you. Due to you escaping the reincarnation cycle of your universe somehow, you ended up in the void between existence, a place where all concepts exist yet don't exist at the same time. Normally, it's impossible for anyone below the level of a creator to survive there, but you did somehow. It seemed like your will to protect the things you cared for was so strong that it resisted the void, but as you've probably noticed that didn't stop all the damage as some of the corruption of the void still crept into your soul, damaging it over time which caused you to start losing your memories, as they are what makes up a soul, shaping it through your experiences through life. Without these experiences, your soul is like a flame in a room with no oxygen, it can easily be snuffed out as there's nothing left to fuel it" All of this was a great surprise to Adam as he had no idea why he had lost his memories even when he fought to keep them, but it all made sense now. It wasn't that he didn't try hard enough to keep them, in fact, he had done something impossible already by surviving in the void for so long through nothing but willpower. It was just impossible to survive in the void without consequence if you weren't strong enough to resist it.

"Now you're probably wondering, 'Stan, you said you had an offer, what is it?' Well, good question kid, due to you being pretty much homeless I'm willing to offer you a home in a new universe I was about to create, Earth-199999. You probably know of it as the MCU, but you can have a monologue about that after I'm done explaining." This information was a surprise to Adam, but a good surprise as it ignited some excitement inside of him, thinking of all the possibilities that are possible there, but he waited to think further on the subject as Stan wasn't done talking.

"Now, I'm not gonna just send you there without any gifts, 'cause we both know that's a death wish. So here's what I'm gonna do, you're gonna get to choose 2 things you want as long as they're reasonable, and will get to create a background for yourself so you don't just appear for everyone else. Take your time to think through what you want, because this will determine how your new life will turn out" After Stan finished with his explanation, Adam went into deep thought about what he should choose as he doesn't want just strength, he wants to be able to do the things he loves, have kids, have a nice wife and live a nice life.

All these thoughts lead him to remember one of his idols after his father, Adam from Record Of Ragnarok. He managed to attain all that Adam wants, has the same ideals as him, and is strong enough to go toe-to-toe with the strongest god, Zeus, and would have beaten him if it wasn't for the downside to his Divine Reflection.

The more Adam thought about it, the more he felt like he knew what he wanted to wish for. He wants to become Adam (ROR) to gain all his powers for his first wish, and then use the second wish to remove the weakness of Adam's Divine Reflection as without the weakness he'll be able to copy all his opponent's moves with the same, if not slightly greater, strength then them without limit. There's still a chance he can be beaten if his opponent is vastly stronger than him, even if he copies their moves but with the strength Adam showcased, not many in the MCU can compare, and the ones that can match him tend to not get involved with mortal conflict. With his mind set on what he wanted to wish for, he proceeded to tell Stan.

'For my first wish, I want to be Adam from Record Of Ragnarok, if that's acceptable. And I want to use my second wish to remove the weakness of Divine Reflection, if it can't be fully removed then could it be lessened?' After Adam finished, Stan seemed to contemplate for a bit, and after roughly 2-3 minutes he responded.

"The first wish is fine, he has a good powerset that would put you near the top of the universal food chain, being on par with, or just under, the cosmic forces. And if you are put in the universe in a way that doesn't mess up the order, then everything should be fine. However, I can't take away the weakness of Divine Reflection in its entirety as that would be too unbalanced and ruin the order of the universe. What I can do is let you use the eyes with no overheating and risk of blindness, but if you copy too many moves in a short span of time then your body will be put under lots of stress and start to slow down, and the more powerful a move is the quicker this happens." As Adam thought about it he agreed with Stan and saw it as fair, as even with that weakness it's a lot better than going blind from using Divine Reflection too much.

"Great, now that that's out of the way it's time for your background. I've got an idea of what you want, being able to read your thoughts and such, so if I got this right you want to be created by me as the first human with Eve, who I'll make ageless so you don't end up an old and lonely guy scared to connect with people cause that's depressing, on an island on Earth that is impossible to enter or see if the person isn't a god or good-natured. Did I get that right?" Adam nodded, satisfied with what Stan had said. He knew any children he had wouldn't live as long as him, as they would just be ordinary humans but he was fine with that. All that meant was that he needed to savour every second spent with his children if he had any.

"Good, then everything is in order and settled. I wish you luck in this life, Adam and hope that when we next meet you will have many stories to tell." And with that, Stan waved his hand and Adam was sucked through a rip through space and time that opened beneath him, and the next time he opened his eyes he was greeted with a paradise of animals and nature that was all in tune with each other. As he looked around, he saw his new body and he was awestruck by how he looked. (pic)

Before he could admire himself and his surroundings, he heard a voice call to him from behind and when he looked at who it was he was left speechless.

"Hi, are you Adam? I'm Eve, it's nice to meet you I hope we can get along well." The bubbly and enthusiastic voice was entrancing to Adam, and he couldn't take his eyes off her. For what stood before Adam was quite possibly the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. (pic)

"Yes, it's a pleasure to meet you too. I hope as we get to know each other we can form a strong bond and have a nice life." Adam responded with what he hoped was a good response. And judging from the laughter Eve was releasing, Adam's response was fine.

And that was how Adam's new life began, surrounded by nature, animals that loved him and a beautiful wife to enjoy the start of his life with.
